[KW+PM] Slow Down.

You had been helping out some of the other mutants with their abilities, Charles had asked you—although you were not attending the school or filling the role as a professor—to use your own ability by slowing down time to train them.

You had been setting obstacle courses up in the danger room by slowing the mutants down and getting them to fight and protect each other, although not by a lot. Charles had requested that you slowed them down, just enough, so that they would be fighting as if they had been injured themselves, to make fighting more realistic.

Peter, your boyfriend, was training alongside them. You had enjoyed using your ability to slow him down, it was a change of pace, and you enjoyed his yells of frustrations and empty threats that he would get you back later that day.

Charles was watching them with a smile on his face beside you. He would go into your mind and give you instructions—it was reasonable as he didn't want some of the other mutants to hear what he had planned for them to give them a head start.

Originally, when you first met Peter, he had called you his enemy, being two polar opposites. He didn't like the fact that you could slow him down and that he couldn't stop you from doing so.

But after a while, he noticed how kind you were, and how caring you were, especially to those who weren't to you. He had fallen in love with you and began flirting, saying cheesy pickup lines and concluded that opposites attract.

He was the type of boyfriend to surprise you with gifts, notes, and compliments.

Peter had loved the way you helped other people, the way you kept yourself together, and how you managed to keep up with him when your abilities were almost on completely different ends of the spectrum.

He loved it when you danced with him and held him close, slowing him down, of course, when he couldn't get the handle on slow dancing. The way you listened to his problems, and how you trusted him with yours.

Peter was trying his hardest to run quicker and quicker. He looked your way, annoyed, and you smirked at him before winking his way, a smile grew on his face as he looked away shaking his head, he knew you were enjoying this.

You heard a small 'bamf' over the sound of the other mutants and looked beside you to see Kurt watching you with a bright smile, which you returned.

"Hello, Kurt." You grinned. "Enjoying the show?"

You motioned your head to the other mutants. Kurt had glanced over to them quickly, he didn't realise that you were training them, you were the only person he saw as soon as he popped in. You glanced over to them as well and slowed Peter down even more.

"I know I am." You laughed as Peter screeched your name out in shock and annoyance, surprised that you had only slowed him down which made it harder for him.

"Yes, I enjoy watching you train them." He nodded in response. "But I don't understand how this is training them."

His accent was clearly evident, especially in his confusion.

"Maybe you could train with me afterward? It would be nice to catch up with you, and get better at the same time," he offered. You didn't have any plans that evening.

Peter was looking after Wanda; the mutants would have classes, and Charles didn't ask for any help with anything else.

Kurt had hoped that you would say yes. His heart fluttered, and he nervously glanced to Peter, then back to you. He waited patiently for your response. He wanted to spend some alone time with you.

However, unlike Peter, Kurt had fallen for you almost immediately. He appreciated how you never judged him or mocked him for the way he looked or the way he talked, he felt like he could be himself around you.

He loved the way your eyes lit up when you helped the other students and saw when they had got something correct. He loved the way you smiled, the way you spoke, and how you acted like everyone should be equal.

Kurt loved seeing you smile, even if it hurt him to know that it was Peter who made you do it.

He loved how you took time out of your day to hang out with him and the others. Especially when you tried to learn German, the way he did with English, because he liked how you tried to understand everything he was saying, without rushing him or getting annoyed.

"Sure." You nodded to him. "Sounds like a good plan." You looked up at him and smiled.

Kurt grinned at looked over to the other mutants quickly, he noticed that they were speeding up again, Charles must have been giving you instructions to limit your ability on them so when they were finished they weren't walking weirdly.

"Okay guys, you did really great today, I'm proud of you." You smiled at them before walking over to some of them that were having trouble walking once more.

"Hey, babe." Peter grinned at you once you helped some of the remaining students out. "Did you have fun today?" His tone was teasing and his eyes were gently mocking. "I think you enjoyed having the power to slow me down. I think you just wanted to see my good looks clearer from back there instead of seeing a blur." He pointed to where you had been standing previously. "That or my butt, I know it looks great in this suit, but babe, be more professional." He winked before gently kissing your lips. "I'll see you tomorrow morning." He kissed your forehead before walking out of the danger room, with Charles following him.

"Are you ready?" Kurt asked as soon as he popped up in front of you, his eyes looking over your face with a small smile on his lips.

You nodded your head and got into a fighting stance. You knew that he would try and sneak up behind you, so, you turned around and slowed time down when he reappeared, flipping him on his back.

"How did you—?" You held your arm out to pull him up when you stopped using your ability.

"You always go for the back first, Wagner, it's not hard to predict, try to surprise me with something different," you encouraged him before stepping back again and got back into position. "You have to let go of your pattern every once in a while, or else it will be too easy to find your weak spot, trust me."

You nodded towards him, he looked like he was trying to come up with another tactic.

"Take your time, we've got tons of it." You smirked as you slowed down time once more, obviously yourself being unaffected.

"Okay." He nodded once he figured out a new plan. "Ready." He smiled before disappearing.

You looked around yourself before seeing him pop up and disappear to your left, he kept this pattern going for a while, appearing and reappearing randomly. You shook your head and squinted as it was beginning to give you a headache. He popped up behind you but your head wasn't in focus so you didn't realise.

"Boo," he whispers causing you to jump and spin to face him.

"Whoa," you squeak out as you almost fell backward.

You expected to hit the ground, but, his tail wrapped around your waist, holding you in the air and his hands went to your hips, pulling you back up.

"Nice tactic, make your opponent feel dizzy," you mumbled as you regained some balance.

Kurt didn't respond and, instead, he gulped. You were still in a slight state of shock so you didn't register what was happening when he quickly pressed his lips to yours. When you didn't move he quickly pulled away.

"I'm so sorry, I don't know why I did that," he confessed. "Actually, I do, but I shouldn't have done that, I'm sorry."

He moved back and apologised, his tail unwrapped from your body, you felt almost paralysed, unsure of what had just happened. He took a deep breath before speaking.

"I wanted to see if I would feel something." You raised an eyebrow and he continued, "I've had feelings for you ever since I met you, you were different, I mean we all are, but—" He paused.

Kurt only wanted to know if he would feel, what he remembers Jean calling, a spark.

He almost felt crushed when he didn't, he only felt your lips, he didn't feel that spark or 'fireworks' as Jubilee once stated. He knew he still cared deeply for you, but he was sure he would feel the spark. You had some sort of effect on him and he wanted to act upon those feelings, but felt horrible for not asking first, he felt like he stole it, he didn't think it was right.

"It won't happen again," he told you quickly. "I'm sorry, I understand if you need some space, I know I shouldn't have done that, you are with Peter, you love him. You know the way he loves you, the way I do too, but I understand that you two work better together," he apologised once more before you heard another 'bamf', noticing he was gone and you were left alone in the danger room.

It felt like time had slowed down, but it wasn't your doing, you could feel it. You smiled sadly at the space he once occupied and turned around only to jump back in shock.

"Everything okay, babe?" Peter asked with raised eyebrows, he walked over to one of the tables and picked up his phone, you guessed that he had left it there and only just came to pick it up. "You look like you just stared death in the face," he commented and he carefully placed his hand on your arm, rubbing gently. "Wanna babysit Wanda with me?" You blinked, snapping out of your trance and looked at him.

"Yeah, sure, don't worry, I'm fine. I'm just a little tired from using my powers all day, that's all."

That seemed to put Peter at ease, he understood that it would have been hard to use your power on all of the students and because you used more on him.

"Where is Wanda now? Please tell me you didn't leave her at the house alone." Peter's eyes grew wide he placed his hand on the back of your neck and ran. You closed your eyes before you felt like you were about to fall.

"Easy there, tiger," Peter whispered as he held you up and guided you over to his sofa. "I'll go get you a drink." He kissed your forehead before quickly leaving to go upstairs.

You still couldn't believe that Kurt had feelings for you in that way. You did love him, but you had loved Peter more, and your feelings were stronger for him. You knew he felt bad about what he did, but you couldn't help but feel guilty too. Your thoughts became too much and caused a small headache to form, and you knew you just had to slow down.
