[KW+PM] Didn't See That Coming.

You already knew. Of course, you did, you were able to see somewhat into the near future, so it wasn't hard to know when both Peter and Kurt would appear to try and win over your heart. At times, you wished you weren't able to see the future, it wasn't always your own.

Sometimes you'd see someone finding out that they got to marry the love of their life, sometimes you were able to witness someone giving birth—although it was only really when they got to see their child, the look on their face that made it all worth it, hearing them scream out in pain wasn't so great.

You saw death, destruction, wars and fear. That was one of the hardest parts of your ability that you had to deal with. You'd find yourself waking up, covered in a layer of sweat with the Professor smiling pitifully at you as you woke up and scanned your surroundings, wondering if it was still a nightmare.

He'd often tried to get you back to sleep, although some days were near impossible. It was normal that you'd find him in your room trying to help you, with a sleepy Hank behind him yawning. It was nice to know that they cared.

But then there was the precognition of your own future. Usually, you'd see yourself getting back tests, or seeing that you'd get a test—you wouldn't call it cheating if you had no control over it, it was just...Extremely helpful for your studies.

You'd see Scott tripping over his words to talk to Jean, or coming up with terrible date ideas—which you took upon yourself to go and help the poor boy, Jean almost thanking you mentally each time for stopping him from making a fool of himself most days. Scott giving you a look of thanks every time you stopped him and helped.

You could see shopping trips that Jubilee would drag you out on, awful jokes that Warren would tell—you'd still laugh anyway, mainly because you already knew how bad they were that you couldn't help yourself. Although, that made him believe he was a comedic genius.

You were able to see Storm and when she would decide that she didn't want to go out for lessons and, instead, she would create storms. But that also meant that you could see Peter and Kurt popping up out of nowhere. Much like this very moment.

"Hey, sweet cheeks," Peter spoke to you as he appeared next to you on your left, his right arm over your shoulder, pulling you towards his warmth. "Doing anything later? I was thinking that we could go to the old record store, after the arcade-" Peter was interrupted by a small 'bamf' sound to your right.

"Are we still studying later today? For our project?" Kurt asked, his tail was itching to wrap around your waist and pull you from Peter's grasp. You didn't look at either of them as you already heard the conversation unfold almost an hour ago, and you weren't bothered to change the course of history just yet.

"That's due in a week, blueberry," Peter told him with a smirk on his face.

He teased Kurt with the nickname you had given him almost a day after meeting him. That was a lie, you knew you were going to meet him almost a week prior to Raven bringing him to school, so you tried picking out the best name for him. It wasn't until you heard him say 'I'm Blue,' with a smile that you knew blueberry was the best one.

"But if we get it done today then we will have the rest of the time free to hang out together, right?" Kurt looked from Peter to you with a gentle smile that you'd grown accustomed to. Peter scoffed and you rolled your eyes, you knew what he was going to say; 'you can work tomorrow, I'm taking my girl out to have fun,' but you said nothing.

"You can work tomorrow, I'm taking my girl out to have fun," Peter repeated those words you had already heard him say. You just wished he would stop. Both of them. Why couldn't they just get along?

"Your girl?" Kurt asked in disbelief, Peter's face grew smug as he tightened his hold slightly on you. You just wanted to get to class, you were actually interested in the topic today.

"Yeah, like you said, my girl," Peter replied. "Oh, would you look at the time." He looked at his watch on his hand, although he never really needed it, he wouldn't be that late for his own lessons, if he actually attended most of them. "I've gotta run." You could almost hear his mind congratulating him on the pun. "I'll see you later, my little crystal ball." Peter kissed your cheek, longer than usual and disappeared down the hallway.

"So, are we on for later today?" Kurt asked a little unsure now.

"Yes, we are still on for tonight, I already know that we get the top grade." You grinned at him, his smile widened at the glance of your own.

"That's good." He nodded. "We should get it done pretty quickly then, ja?" He asked you again.

"Yep." You nodded. "Oh!" You exclaimed, almost making him jump. "I can then show you the movies you asked about yesterday when we're done," you told him. He nodded to you quickly before looking at one of the classroom doors down the hall.

"I will see you later, liebling." He waved at you before disappearing into his classroom.

"This is going to be a long day," you told yourself as you witnessed what was yet to happen. You groaned to yourself as you walked into your classroom and took a seat near one of the windows.

-

You were almost late to your lesson in the danger room, but you knew you would get there in time. Scott was also running late, he was walking quickly beside you, asking about whether his date idea with Jean was going to work, and surprisingly it was a good one.

"Scotty, this has got to be the best one yet," you told him. You didn't need to see his eyes to know that they lighted up as well as the smile on his face, clearly proud of himself. "Just place the picnic blanket closer to the lake, you'll be able to see Jean's face better in the moonlight," you told him, he nodded his head.

"Okay, thanks, also-" You rolled your eyes.

"Yes, you'll get to kiss her tonight." You saw him smirk before his lips turned into a grin. "You've got this, you're a Summers boy." You patted his arm as you walked into the danger room.

But as if right on queue you heard Peter and Kurt arguing about you, with Storm trying to break them apart.

"Boy trouble?" Scott asked as he leaned down to your ear, hoping the others wouldn't hear him.

"Yeah." You sighed "It's been like this for almost two months," you whispered back.

"Maybe I could help?" He suggested. "I mean, I know you can see the future and all, but as a boy, I think I might know a thing or two more than you about this kind of thing." His breath was fanning your hair causing it to tickle your neck, you let out a small laugh, the boys turned to look at the two of you.

Both of them not liking how close Scott was to you.

"Oh boys." You gave a look to Scott, apologising, he just nodded his head and went over to Jean who was trying to hide a smile from you. She knew what you and Scott planned for her.

"Hey." Peter grinned as he sped over to you, you almost fell back after realising how close he had stopped himself from you, but Kurt was already behind you holding you up.

"Hello, liebling." He smiled down at you, while you looked up at him from his arms. You smiled back, he helped you back on your feet and you looked towards Peter.

"Sorry about that," he scratched the back of his head and took a step back. "Seeing as you're busy today, do you want to hang out tomorrow?" You smiled and nodded your head.

"Sure, we can go to the arcade and record store like you wanted," you told him, a large smile spread on his face.

Training took longer than expected. You were paired up with Storm, the two love birds were up against each other, and Peter was with Kurt. They were taunting each other, teasing, and being extra rough, causing you to be distracted, Storm getting in more punches and hits than you would have liked.

"Here I thought you could tell the future," she told you.

"Regretfully," you huffed out and tried to block out the images of what was yet to come.

-

After training Jean caught up with you. She had a look on her face, she could hear the boys and their thoughts. She linked arms with you as you both went to English together.

"They mean well," she told you, you sighed and nodded.

"I know, I'm just trying to block out the future from my mind, maybe it will calm me down," you admitted.

"Well, I've already seen what happens. You've got yourself a change of plans for later today. You won't be studying. That boy is determined to make sure that he gets to win over your heart before the other." You tilted your head.

You hadn't seen anything. Was it possible that if you blocked your mind from seeing the future that you accidentally miss a precognition? That it won't show up again? Were there time slots for this ability?

"Who?" You asked. She only smirked as you entered the class room, taking her seat, leaving you to go a couple of rows behind her.

     Question unanswered.

-

Jean hadn't answered your question at all, she left to go find Scott before you could ask her. You decided to go to your room and start on the project, Kurt would show up later at some point...Maybe.

After hearing Jean say that there had been a change of plans you began to doubt he would show up. Maybe Peter would instead. You knew Scott and Jean were going to be outside, you quickly looked to see if you could spot them.

     But you couldn't.

The picnic blanket was in the spot you told him about, but he wasn't, and neither was Jean. You told him that this was going to work, you could see the blurry silhouettes of their bodies in your mind from earlier. Was it them? Or was it someone else? You shook your head just as your door opened with a knock.

You turned around, and there he was. You glanced back to the window, had that been your future you saw? If so, then how did Scott know?...Thinking about it, Jean could have easily read your mind and told him...You turned back around and your breath got caught in your throat at the sight of him standing there. He was dressed in a tux, smart and clean, with a single rose in his hand, a smile on his face. You didn't see that coming.
