She arrives
"Apa! Por que los ninos me llamado un demonio?"
...
Limp...
She lay limp on the dusty ground and if looked closely at, some may see her breathing slowly so she's alive.
Then her eyes fluttered open and the small girl sat up.
Where am I? She thought and held onto her side. She took a couple of deep breaths but then felt something wet on her side.
She held up her hand and saw some red or pink liquid on it.
Oh, I'm bleeding...WAIT!? She thought.
She looked down and saw traces on blood on her.
"I'm hurt?" She asked to no one in particular.
The girl panicked as soon as the pain hit her.
Think! Think! What could have possibly caused my injury! Crap, minds going too fast! Can't remember sh-...wait I can't remember? She thought. Weird...
"Well I need to find how to get the hell out of here," the girl said, getting up and holding onto her side.
She took a look around her surroundings. It was dimly lit and while it was dusty, it was thin like someone has already been there.
She spotted a lever and when she looked at it closely, she could see some handprints.
I should pull that lever...no what if something bad happens? But I really need to get out of here. Ahhhhh! This is so complicated! She thought and squeezed her eyes shut.
But something deep down, something told the girl to pull down that level.
She opened her eyes and held out her free hand and pulled the level.
Below her feet, something made a noise and suddenly she was moving up!
"Ack!"
The girl fell backwards and a thought crossed her mind.
Elevator, was that thought.
And then another thought crossed her mind.
What if I'm the only one here?! She panicked.
"Let's hope that's not the case," she muttered as the elevator continued to go up.
The girl arrived at an dimly lit opening and saw some light coming through some barriers that she couldn't quite tell what it was.
She tried pushing it open but failed.
Damn it, she thought.
Then a shadow came over, blocking some of the light.
"You smell short," the shadow stated.
The girl could heard another person talking but she didn't pay attention to their conversation because she was called short.
The audacity!
The girl gasped as she was offended by being called short. Even though she is...
She tried pushing through the barrier so she can see whoever was gathering around the shaft.
"Is that a no to Latin?" The first shadow asked.
Wut?
The girl huffed and tried again but then suddenly winced in pain as pain pricked up again at her side.
"Ow...," she muttered quietly.
"You ok?" The first shadow asked and dropped something small.
It was an apple. Where did they get that apple?
The apple bonked her on the head and she held it with her free hand.
"No...," she finally responded.
Ok, three, two, one, she counted in her head before jumping to shove the barrier but face planted the shaft and fell backwards.
"Ok that didn't work," she said. How did a trap door managed to beat her???
"Are the trap doors even open?" The first shadow asked.
Another shadow gasped and asked something about food, the girl wasn't paying attention but now she knows that the barriers are trap doors.
"Oh that's what it is? Good to know," the girl said and stood on her tippy toes.
This is going to hurt but f*ck it! I need to get out of here, she thought and using both hands, shoved the trap doors opened.
"I'm free!" She cheered.
"Umm no, you're not. No way to put this but you're in a death trap!" The first shadow said, cheerfully but making a sour face or she assumes it was a sour face. Kind of hard to tell with the mask.
"Wait what?" The girl asked before wincing again and holding onto her side.
"Umm before anything, does anyone know how to bandage an injury...because whoever did this," she glanced at her side, "didn't do a good job."
"I know how to use bandages. I just don't really have any," the first stranger told her.
The second stranger winced at the sight of blood.
"Whoa whoa, get out of there. We need to treat that. We'll find something around," they said and held out a hand to help the girl.
"Do you have any kenaf? It's not the best idea but it's a start," the first stranger said, spitballing the idea.
There was a third stranger and they seemed to look at everyone and even glanced at the girl's wound.
They opened their mouth to say something but then closed it.
The girl reached out and was pulled out.
"Oof!" She face planted the ground and rolled onto her back. That took way too much time, she thought.
"Do you think you can make it to the campsite? Or should someone go check and bring bandages if there are any here?" The first stranger questioned, leaning down.
The girl breathed heavily and looked at the stranger who leaned down.
"M-maybe?" She said, a slight stutter on her words. She sat up and winced.
Still can't remember what happened, she thought as she tried to remember why was she injured.
The first stranger offered his hand to help her up. "Alright well, may as well try then ay?"
Before the girl could take his hand, the third stranger looked at her and then over to what she assumes is the campsite that they were all talking about.
They then jogged over there, calling out, "I can just get them, just stay here a second!"
The girl then cautiously took the hand and glanced in the direction where the third stranger came in and where they ran off.
"Might as well," she muttered.
Then the first stranger and the second strange began to talk about kenaf and how it isn't really ideal to wrap up her wound.
The girl wasn't really paying attention as she was mainly paying attention to where the third stranger was.
The stranger came back and had bandages in their hand. They handed it to the first stranger.
"I just hope you all know what you're doing," the girl said and with her free hand, dug into the pocket of her pants and pulled out a lighter.
She flicked it open and a small flame popped out of it. She closed it with her thumb.
As she was doing this, the first stranger spoke up. "Relax, I'm a solider...or well I was. I know how to use bandages," he said. He began to bandaged the girl's wound.
The second stranger glanced at the first stranger before turning her attention to the girl.
"What's your name? I'm Anna. That's Faded," she pointed to the first stranger, "and the one who brought you the bandages is Bird."
"Name?" Now that she thought about it, what even is her name? Now that's a scary thought.
"My name is...is...oh god! No no no no no this is bad! Why can't I remember my name?!" The girl yelped.
I should be able to remember my name in a snap so why can't I?! She thought, her spine feeling cold.
"Hey hey! Don't stress about it. I didn't remember my name either. There's a wall of names over there," Anna pointed, "maybe yours is on there."
"I also don't remember my name but I found it on the wall, and it helped me remember," Bird added on.
"Maybe. I-I just had a thought that I just can't remember anything when I woke up. I-I should be able to at least grasp o-one memory of the past b-but that's not the case. Oh god. Oh god. Esto es mal, muy malo," the girl rambled.
"Imagine not having your name chanted to you by a bunch of voices. Kinda cringe," Faded then winced at the joke, "or was it numbers that they were chanting? Eh doesn't matter."
He then added on, "Eh memories come with time, they're not there to start with. Otherwise, what would be the point of living? It's sort of like rebirth, coming to this place. I'm pretending to make sense, just look at the wall."
Anna glared at Faded like making jokes at this time is the wrong move to make.
She then looked at the girl.
"I don't remember anything about my past either. I just woke up in the elevator with this dagger. Just like you and your lighter. We can go over to the wall of names. I have a pretty good feeling that your name will be there," Anna assured her.
After listening to that, the girl calmed down a little bit.
"Ok. Then where's this wall. Can you take me...please?" She asked, trying to be polite and tugging on her hat that she didn't realize was on her head.
"Yes, uh," Bird pointed to its vague direction, "it's over there? Can you walk alright?" They asked.
"You can lean on me for support," Anna suggested while her face softens into a gentle smile.
"I think I can," the girl said and got up carefully.
It still hurts but not as much. I'll just be careful, she thought and pocketed the lighter.
"Alright, I'll be next to you just in case. You can lean on me if you need to," Anna told her.
Faded went on ahead with Bird following him.
"R-right," the girl nodded at Anna.
She walked towards the wall of names and noticed that the names were the color of blood.
Ok, that definitely not reassuring, she thought as she looked for her name on the lower half. None of them seemed right for her so that meant...the girl looked up to see the upper names.
"Any of them ring a bell?" Anna asked.
"N-no...wait, what's that one? Fla...I can't see the last two letters," the girl squinted.
If only I wasn't so sh-nope! I'm not short, dunno what they're talking about, she thought.
She is in da Nile (denial)
"That says Flare," Faded said calmly before Anna got closer to the wall and squinted.
"Flare? Is that your name?" She asked.
"Flare...Flare Flare Flare Flare. Yeah, that sounds right. Flare...my name is Flare," the girl...no Flare stated and turned to look at them.
A/N: new book, new lore, very epic
I changed some parts here and there especially with the dialogue so if anyone in this role play is reading this, that's why it looks a teeny bit different.
