Fidgetkit walked to the prey pile and picked out a squirrel. She saw how Flirtykit was shareing the last starling, her favorite, with Lovepaw. Fidgetkit shuffled her paws and started fidgeting. she thought Flirtykit was over Lovepaw. She though Flirtykit loved her.

Fidgetkit padded over to Stonepaw. She remembered the times they played in the nursery all by themselves. He didn't care if she was never the seeker because of his "undieing love" for her. That was two moons ago, though. Two more moons and she would be able to play with him again.

"Hey. Can I eat with you?", Fidgetkit asked Stonepaw. 

"I would say sure, but apprentices don't eat with kits. We eat real prey.", Stonepaw replied.

"So, sinse we're both eating a squirrel, either I'm eating 'apprentice prey' or you're eating 'kit food'. Which is it?", Fidgetpaw countered.

"Alright. I see you didn't lose your tounge through those two moons.", Stonepaw said, laughing.

While he was laughing, an apprentice Fidgetkit didn't reconigze padded over and licked his cheek.   (that means "i really like you)

Fidgetkit was startled as the she-cat glared at her, menacingly. 

"Who is this?", Fidgetkit asked sweetly, even though her heart was being burnt to a dark crisp. 

"This is Shellpaw. Tommorow she's becoming a warrior! Isn't that exciting?", Stonepaw said. Immediatly after he rested his tail on hers.

"Is she your mate?", Fidgetkit said. 

"Not yet, but we want to be.", Stonepaw replied.

Fidgetkit's throat was tightening, her legs felt wobbly, and her paws could barely hold her up.

Fidgetkit ran, she slipped through the secret passage she made, and escaped to the tunnels. Fidgetkit knows the tunnels very well because she would use them to hide out while someone was angrey. 

Fidgetkit ran as fast as she could, until she reached it. Her secret spot. Her spot with a river and room to practice battle moves and hunting. Her spot with a nest that she stole from the nursery.

Flashback

Fidgetkit played mossball with Stonepaw until Yellowpaw called him over, so she could wash his fur before the ceremony. FIdgetkit watched Stonepaw complain as his mother licked his pelt.

"From this day forward, until he has earned his warrior name, this apprentice will now be called Stonepaw. Wineheart, you will be his mentor. May you pass down all you know to your apprentice.", Twinkleystar said as Wineheart and Stonepaw touched noses. 

Fidgetkit walked over to Stonepaw. "Wow. You have your apprentice name. How does it feel?", Fidgetkit asked. Stonepaw didn't have time to answer before Wineheart called for him because they were going on a tour of the teritory. 

While they were gone, Fidgetkit took his nest and hid it. She eventualy found a hiding spot in the caves.The caves then became her home. Her true home.

Present time

"Why has everyone who ever loved me that I loved moved on? Aren't I good enough? Aren't I awesome? ", Fidgetkit thought sadly. 

Fidgetkit curled up in Stonepaw's old nest and sobbed.
