The Story: On the night after Summerslam, Edge was attacked by an unknown assailant. For weeks, many assumed it was Craig Chandler, the former WWE Champion.

Jeff Jarrett took over as interim General Manager, until Edge was fully recovered. Jeff Jarrett placed the blame on Craig Chandler for weeks, due to video footage that was shown to him.

On the final RAW before Hell In a Cell, Craig Chandler was confronted by Jeff Jarrett, and Jarrett was about to fire Craig, but Shane McMahon makes a surprise return, and he reveals that Jeff Jarrett was the one who ordered the hit on Edge, having Alberto Del Rio disguise himself as Craig. Shane McMahon then announced himself as the new General Manager of RAW and Smackdown, and made a match for Hell In a Cell between Craig and Edge, vs Jeff Jarrett and Alberto Del Rio.

The Match: Jeff Jarrett and Craig Chandler started off the match. Craig surprised the WWE Universe, by out wrestling Jeff Jarrett at every turn. Feeling Overwhelmed, Jarrett tags in Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio manages to wear down Craig, by targeting his arm. For five minutes, Craig is being overwhelmed by Jeff Jarrett and Alberto Del Rio, as they quickly tag out and assault him.

Craig then mounts a comeback against Jarrett, and he manages to tag in Edge. Edge then hits Jeff with two Clotheslines, followed by a side face buster. Edge then hits the Edgecution on Jarrett. Edge then goes for the Spear, but Del Rio super kicks Edge in the face. Jarrett then goes for the cover, but Edge kicks out at two. Jarrett then begins to wear down Edge, attacking him at every angle.

Jarrett then tries to lock in a Submission hold on Edge, but Edge kicks him into the ring post. Edge then tags in Craig, and he knocks Del Rio from the ring post. Edge then somersaults over the top rope, and he takes out Del Rio. While the referee was distracted, Jeff Jarrett tried to hit Craig with his guitar, but Craig dodged and he hits the Mac Daddy on Jarrett.

Craig then tags in Edge, and Edge hits the Spear, getting the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: Edge and Craig Chandler

After the match: As Craig and Edge celebrate their victory, the lights in the arena go dark. When the lights come back on, Craig is knocked out in the center of the ring, standing above him, in place of Edge, was Finn Balor, and the Bullet Club. After this attack the fans are left with one question... What does this mean?
