Damn- this book is almost at 10k reads- I only wrote this because I was bored one day, and I didn't even know how to write! (only the little bits school taught me, that I didn't really pay attention to- haha-)

Anyways I enjoy reading your guys comments, it's the best part of my day, so thank you! And again, I'm not good at fighting scenes.

Y/n's POV

"Ha! I like you kid!" The prisoner shouts, before running at me.

I swiftly dodge a kick, before slicing his leg with my dagger, attempting to anyways. "Did I just break my knife on your skin!?" I shout, still dodging his attacks.

"I'm surprised you can keep up with me!" He yells, ignoring my question completely. I dodge another kick, ending up getting punched in the face instead.

"Shit!" I shout, jumping back to the other side of the room. Is his fist made of steel or something!?

"Ha!? That punch was meant to kill you! Your stronger than you look!" The prisoner shouts, though I'm distracted with this ...weird thing... covering my body.

"You've opened your aura nodes! Seeing how you're strong enough to survive that hit, I'll explain Nen to you!" Nen? Is that what this shit is called?

"Nen's an ability everyone has, but to use it you have to unlock your aura nodes! When you do you can use Nen to surround your body, enhancing your strength, and defense! But your aura is just leaking everywhere, continue like that and you'll die!" So I have to surround my body in Nen, and not let my aura leak out?

"That's just the beginning of it though! I'm not going to tell you the rest, you'll die before you can learn it!" He shouts, lunging towards me.

I quickly move towards the right, dodging his attack. While dodging attacks, I start to focus on preventing my aura from leaking out.

"Learning Ten while fighting? You really are special kid!" He shouts, I continue to dodge, still trying to control my Nen.

"Too bad I'll be killing you so soon!" He adds, speeding up the rate of attacks.

"I'm not that easy to kill, trust me I've tried." I respond.

"What?" He says, slowing down his attacks. Okay so suicidal jokes throw him off guard, good to know.

I use this time to analyze the situation. He has a large amount of Nen surrounding him, and if Nen enhances your attacks and defense, I won't be able to do any damage to him with the amount of Nen surrounding me. I also probably can't use as much Nen as him because of just learning it. So my only option is focusing all my Nen in one spot, leaving myself defenseless, ima die.

I start to focus my Nen into my fist, and throw a punch. Let's just hope this works..

"Ko!?" He shouts, jumping back to avoid the punch. I have absolutely no idea what he's saying, but alright.

I just need to throw him off guard, then attack. The prisoner goes back to attacking me, his attacks speeding up every second. "Hey, Knock Knock." I say, attempting to throw him off guard again.

"Uh? ..who's there?" Perfect. I quickly throw a punch aimed at his face, allowing him to dodge to the right.

"Idiot." I say, kicking his legs. The prisoner goes off balance for a couple of seconds, allowing me to follow up with a punch to the gut.

I continue to attack the prisoner, not giving him a chance to fight back.

Lippo's POV

What the hell is this kid!? they completely skipped over Ren, Zetsu, and Hatsu, going straight to Ko! At this rate, they could win the fight!

It took me months to get to the same point they got to in minutes! I've seen many 'Nen Geniuses' but this kid's on an entirely different level..

Y/n's POV

I continue to attack the prisoner, my hits are definitely weaker than his, but I'm a bit faster, and definitely smarter.

"Haa... you don't fight fair.. I don't like dirty fighters..." The prisoner says, before knocking me back with Nen.

I immediately focus most of my Nen on my eyes, leaving a small amount to protect my body, just incase. The prisoners body was now surrounded in a even larger amount of nen, one hit and I'm dead.

"You were getting to cocky!" The prisoner yells, lunging towards me. I quickly sidestep to the left, barely dodging.

I continue to barely dodge the prisoners attacks, keeping a shroud of Nen surrounding my body, incase I get hit.

Where the hell is Hisoka when you need him! Right after thinking that, Hisoka enters the room. I should've tried to jinx it earlier!

"Ah~ Quite impressive Y/n~ However,~ I'm going to be stealing this dance now~" He says, before attacking the prisoner. I quickly head to the side of the room, allowing Hisoka to take over fighting.

I watch Hisoka fight the prisoner, the way he moves make it actually look more like a dance, and not a fight. Hisoka ends the fight quickly, before turning his attention to me.

"Did you just find out about Nen today?~" Hisoka questions, I was about to respond, but the stupid message cut me off.

"The tenth prisoner has been killed, meaning you have won the match. The door on your right contains an elevator to the base of the tower. Congratulations on passing the Third Phase of the Hunter exam." I hate that stupid message.

"Yes." I reply after the message ends.

"Hm~ You must be quite the genius then darling~" Is the 'darling' part necessary? "Learning Ten and Gyo only moments after getting Nen is very impressive~" He continued.

"Oh yeah that guy said something about 'Ko' too." I add, maybe I can figure out what this shit means!

"Oh?~ Did he say anything else?~" Hisoka questions.

"Only something along the lines of 'learning Ten while fighting'" I reply.

"Alright~"

"Anyways, shouldn't we exit?" I ask, gesturing toward the elevator.

"You can~ Though I recommend staying here so I can teach you more about Nen~" Hisoka responds.

"Okay." I say, I'm fucking confused on what the hell this shit is.

"I'll start with explaining the aspects of Nen you've already used~" Thank you! My prayers have been answered!

"I'll explain Ten first~ Ten is the process of keeping your aura nodes open~ but also having aura flow through and around the body~ Rather than away from it~" Hisoka explained.

"Understand darling?~" I just nod my head in return.

"Alright~ Gyo is concentrating a larger than normal amount of aura into one body part~ Usually the eyes~ Understand?~"

"Mhm" I say, wanting to get the explanation done with as fast as possible.

"Ko is when all your aura is concentrated into one body part~"

"Oh, so what else can I do with Nen?" This shit is actually pretty cool.

"Ah~ Let's start with Zetsu~" What the fuck is that? "Zetsu is stopping the flow of your aura completely~ Try it~" Hisoka explained. Oh, seems pretty easy.

"Like this?" I close my aura nodes, leaving me no longer covered in Nen. I'm less tired than I was before, probably a side effect of Zetsu.

"Very impressive darling~ Moving on to Ren~ Try focusing on projecting a large amount of aura outward~" Alright, should be easy enough.

I follow Hisokas instructions, focusing on projecting my aura outwards.

"Impressive~ Try maintaining Ren for as long as possible~" But I'm tired!

"What do I get out of this again?" I want to take a nap!

"If you go over eight minutes I'll help you prank the groupchat~" Deal!

(SpongeBob narrator voice)
8 minutes later

"Your times up~" Fucking finally! It seems like it's been hours!

"Finally!" I say, going back to using Ten.

"I'm surprised you aren't using Zetsu~ It would make you less tired~" Hisoka mentions.

"I'm not going to be completely defenseless." I respond. That's idiotic, I have no idea how many people here know Nen.

"Alright~" Hisoka says, turning toward the elevator.

"Illumi's probably at the towers base by now." I say, walking toward the elevator.

"Its only been a couple of hours darling~" Hisoka responds, entering the elevator.

✨One awkward elevator ride later✨

"Hisoka, applicant #44 is the first to pass.
Y/n, applicant #82 is the second to pass. Total time five hours, twenty-seven minutes." He stole first place!

"Ah~ It seems we've beat Illumi~" Hisoka mentions.

"Oh, yeah we have." I say looking around.

"Would you care to join me in a game of
cards?~"

"Sure." I'm going to regret this, aren't I?

(SpongeBob narrator voice)
A few hours later

"Care to make a bet?~" No, Absolutely not. "If you win I'll do anything you say for a day~" Ooo- No. I won't win.

"And if you win?" I should've just said no.

"You have to do anything I say for an hour~" It is only an hour.. Nope! Not worth it, he can do a lot of shit in a hour.

"Nope. Definitely not." I'd die if I said yes.

"A shame~" Hisoka said, dealing out the cards.

"I'm surprised Illumi isn't here yet." I mention.

"We were quite early~" Hisoka replied.

"Out of curiosity.." I say, getting Hisoka's attention. "What part of poker requires Nen?"

"Oh?~ You noticed~" Of course I noticed! "I'll explain my ability to you then~" Ability?

"Allow me to explain~ Hatsu is used to project one's aura to carry out a certain function~ creating a special ability~" That makes some sense I guess.

"The ability I used in our card game is called 'Texture Surprise'~ It allows me to alter the appearance of any flat surface~" He seriously cheated like that.

"I'm quitting." I say, setting down my cards.

"Hm~ We should text the groupchat then~ I have an idea on how to mess with them~"

Fun Facts:

• Hisoka's and Y/n's total time in this was, five hours and twenty-seven minutes. Hisoka's total time in the anime was, six hours and seventeen minutes. Meaning if the prisoner didn't break his Nen suppressant, Y/n would've been first, beating Hisoka.

• Hisoka was actually impressed with how quickly you learned Nen. Y a y.

• Y/n is now stronger than Killua, because of Nen. Meaning that they are now entitled to a large amount of bragging rights.

Thought about adding Illumi into this Chapter, but decided that having Y/n stay with him during the Fourth and Final Phases would be a better idea-

Honestly thinking about having Y/n help out on whatever mission Illumi goes on after the Hunter exam- thoughts?
