Emma is bold. Chloe is normal. Melissa is italics.

"HONEY I'M HOME!" I hear Melissa shout. I couldn't help but laugh. I stop typing and I see that my door is opening.

"Hey, Melissa how was your day at work?"

"It was good. What are you doing?"

"My assignment." I save everything and I turn my laptop off. I move it to the side.

"What did you do today?"

"I cooked myself a ham and cheese sandwich. Watched tv. Ate some snacks and worked on my assignment. Oh and I organized my room a little bit."

"You didn't hang out with Matthew today?" I shake my head.

"No, he canceled on me because he was going on a stupid date with Vivian." I roll my eyes.

"Wow. Are you kidding me?" I nod as I shrug.

"It's whatever. I just need to do something to get my mind off of Matthew and everything. I just need to forget."

"Well how about a party? I heard someone from work talk about it with another person that goes to our university and I asked them for the address."

"Do I know that person?" She shrugs.

"I'm not sure. Her name is Amirah. Her major Is Music Technology."

"Yeah, I know her. Alright, I'm in."

"Great. Do you think Emma is busy right now?" I shrug. I pull my phone out and I go to the girl's group chat.

Me: Hey Emma

Emma: Hey

Melissa: Are you busy right now?

Me: Cuz if you aren't we were thinking about having a girls night.

Melissa: Yup.

Melissa: It was my idea

I roll my eyes and Melissa snorts.

Emma: Sure I'm in

Me: Great.

Emma: What will we be doing?

Melissa: You will see

Me: Yeah just wait we are going to have lots of fun

Melissa: Hell yeah.

Melissa: Also do I need to pick you up?

Emma: No I'll take Uber.

Me: Okay.

Emma: See you in like 20 min

Melissa: Alright

I turn my phone off and I put it on the charger. "Well since it's six right now and the party doesn't start until like ten. We have plenty of time. I have a few things planned for us." I grin.

"Sounds fun." She nods.

"Of course. Especially when I Melissa Jennifer Marvell is planning it." She flips her hair and I roll my eyes.

"You are so cocky." She laughs. "Let's wait in the living room." We walk into the living room and we sit on the couch. Melissa turns the tv on.

20 minutes later I hear a knock on the door. Melissa gets up and opens the door. "Hey, Emma."

"Hey Girls." I wave and smile at her. Emma walks in all the way and closes the door.

"Let's sit beside Chloe." They walk over to the couch and they both sit beside me and they both face me. "Before girl's night begins I just have one rule." She lifts her pointer finger up."Tonight we aren't going to use any of our phones. Unless it has something to do with what I planned other than that no using phones. Of course, we will be bringing them with us but we will put it on do not disturb. Is that okay?" We both nod. "And also no guys. This is a guy free night." 

Good. I need to not think about boys. I just need to focus on Emma, Melissa, and myself. "Sounds good to me."

"Same." Melissa throws her fist in the air.

"Now let the girls night begin!" She grins and we start cheering.

"So Melissa. What are we doing first?"

"It's a challenge." Emma ooo's.

"It's just a basic relaxing challenge nothing too crazy. But first I need to go get the stuff."  With that, she walks away.

"So Emma how was your day?"

"It was okay. I didn't really do much. Since Matthew took the car I had to walk to most places. I went to the park ate at this restaurant and explored a little bit. But I bumped into this cute guy and I got his phone number." I smirk at her.

"Look at you, Emma." She laughs.

"What about you?"

"I stayed home. I wasn't in the mood to go out since Matthew canceled our plans at the last minute. But I did get to work on my paper for one of my classes. Where we have to talk about our college experiences. I can't believe I'm about to graduate." She smiles.

"It's pretty crazy. I'm excited to see you walk across that stage." I smile. "I'll be cheering when I hear your name."

"Thank you." She nods and smiles. I hear a thump on our coffee table. I look up and Melissa is grinning. She's holding a round container full of different brand markers specifically used for an artist. I look at the coffee table and there are three sketchbooks. Wait a minute.

"Melissa, why do you have my art stuff?" She grins.

"Because we are about to do an art challenge. And you know I don't draw but you do and you pretty damn good at it too. So I was like hey why not do something Chloe knows how to do."

"Alright. What's the art challenge?" She sits on the floor in front of the coffee table.

"It's called the three marker challenge. Where you close your eyes and you blindly pick three markers not knowing what the colors are until you open your eyes. You color a picture only using those three colors."

"Ooo. That sounds fun." Emma sits on the floor and grabs one of my sketchbooks. She flips through the pages. "Omg. Chloe these are amazing." I smile and I sit next to her.

"Thanks."

"She's good at drawing and painting. Anything that has to do with being artistic."

"It's been a while so I'm not sure how my abilities are."

"So shall we start?" I nod.

"I'll go first." Emma closes her eyes then covers her eyes with her hand and she reaches over to the bucket and starts roaming around. Once she picks three colors she opens her eyes. "Nooo, these are like the worse color combinations." She frowns while Melissa and I laugh.

"Chloe, what colors are those? Like the specific color name?"

"Let me see." Emma hands me the markers. I look at the number. "Yellow, deep pink, and saddle brown." Emma groans.

"I'll go next." Melissa closes her eyes and she starts roaming her hand over the markers. She picks three colors. She opens her eyes."These aren't bad. I actually like this combination."

"That's so not fair how does she get good colors and I'm stucks with these." Melissa starts laughing. I couldn't help but smile. Man, it's so good to be hanging out with them today I really needed it.

"I don't know." Melissa shrugs. She hands me the markers.

"Medium violet red, tan, and midnight blue." I hand them back to her and she has a satisfied look. She grins. "Last but not least my turn. I close my eyes and I start picking over markers. Once I'm satisfied I open my eyes. "These aren't bad. I got pale green, salmon, and dark magenta."

"Yay. We got the colors now we have to draw something."

"I can't draw though. Like I'm very bad."

"You can color one of my sketches in the book you're holding or you can use a reference I have in my sketchbooks." She grins.

"Yayy." I laugh. I grab another sketchbook and I start sketching out a simple looking girl. I got an idea. We finished sketching and then we started coloring. It was funny how Emma kept complaining about the colors. She didn't know what to do. Melissa kept having me fix her drawing because she didn't like how it turned out and I was satisfied with what I drew.

I drew a simple girl she had an off the shoulder shirt and ripped jeans. Converse on and she has medium length hair. When I started coloring I made her skin the salmon color but I made sure not to color too dark so it would look natural. I colored her hair and ripped jeans pale green but I colored lightly and her converse kinda dark and the off the shoulder top the dark magenta. It turned out really good.

"Omg. Mine actually looks good. I thought it was going to turn out bad but these colors actually go good together." Emma starts grinning.

"Mine actually looks good too. The tan actually helped me out since I could use that as the skin tone. I used the purple one as her hair and shoes. For the dark blue, I colored her top light and made her jeans dark."

"Look at you using what I taught you back in high school." She laughs.

"So I don't have much experience with drawing but I did have a friend who drew and she taught me a little bit stuff about coloring lightly to get a different shade and stuff like that. So I used the brown and I colored her lightly so her skin wasn't too dark. Instead of dawing a shirt and jeans, I wanted to do a dress so I used one of Chloe's references and I colored the dress pink, her hair is yellow kinda blondish. Well tried to make it look like it was blonde. I did the best I could for that and I mixed the yellow and pink for her shoes."

"That's not bad Emma. I see you are blending the colors. I didn't think about that."

"Yup."

"Well, this is my drawing." I set the drawing on the coffee table.

"Omg. Your drawing is so good. Looks like you still have your abilities." I laugh. "I like how her skin is pink and you colored so light that it looks natural."

"Yeah. I had to think on the spot. That's what I learned in one of my art classes back in high school."

"I'm in love with her hair color." I laugh. "And the ripped jeans."

"I'm in love with the whole drawing." Melissa nods in agreement.

"Thanks, guys."

"You should start painting and drawing again."

"I think I will. I felt so relaxed and it felt good to start drawing again."

"You should draw or paint me a picture."

"Sure. I'll do that." She grins. That just gave me a perfect present for my going away present. I'll have to start working on that as soon as possible since we are graduating next week and she's leaving two days after graduation.

"Can you paint me a picture?"

"Of course."

"Yayy." I laugh as they both cheer.

"Alright next challenge. This one is going to be what's in my mouth challenge. It's where you are blindfolded and someone puts something in y our mouth. You can't touch it and you have to guess what it is?"

"Sounds fun."

"Let's do it." We all get up and go to the kitchen table.

After we did what's in my mouth challenge we did karaoke and started dancing and being goofy with each other. We did other fun challenges. I had so much fun. Melissa told us she bought stuff to make cupcakes yesterday and so we decided to bake them. We made vanilla but we had different frostings and we started making designs and we put different toppings on each cupcake.

"These cupcakes are amazing." We both nod in agreement.

"Yes, they are." Melissa pulls her phone out.

"It's time to get ready." Emma finishes her cupcake.

"Ready for what?"

"A party I heard about from one of my friends." I nod as I finish my cupcake.

"But I didn't bring anything. I don't have an outfit."

"I know. But we are here. You can borrow one of our outfits."

"Okay. Are you sure?"

"Of course. We are all friends here."

"Yup and friends share things sometimes like clothing." Melissa nods.

"Okay." I get up and I clean out the mess we made and I put the rest of the cupcakes in the refrigerator. I turn around facing them.

"Let's take showers and help each other get ready." They get up and we tell Emma where the towels are and she goes into the third bathroom and Melissa and I go into our bathrooms that are in our bedrooms.

Once we finished taking our showers we are all in my room. We turn the music on and we start singing along. Melisssa opens my closet. "For this party, we need to dress sexy. To show the boys what they are missing out on." I laugh.

"They can look but can't touch." Oh my god. I love these girls.

"Damn right. Tonight no boys. Just us girls. We're going to show these boys that we don't need a man because we got each other." Melissa and Emma both grin at what I said. Melissa turns and she is holding this white dress that's lacy and it's kinda off the shoulder.

"Hold up. I have never seen you wear that dress before and when did you get this?" She holds the dress up.

"That's because I have not worn it and I didn't buy it, Camryn gave it to me before I went on to college. I guess it was a going to college gift or whatever." I shrug.

"Who is Camryn?"

"She's my sister."

"I didn't know you had a sister."

"Yeah, she's 19. I also have an older brother his name is Cole and he is 24."

"Middle child I see." I nod.

"If you aren't going to wear this dress then I'm going to."

"Go ahead. Just make sure you wash it and put it back in my closet."

"Of course." Melissa moves away from the closet and puts the dress on.

"Omg. I like this. It's very sexy and it shows off your curves." Emma gets up and goes to my closet she starts looking through it. "What shoes should I wear with this?"

"Wear those white heels that are near my green converse. The ones that have the cross where the ankles are." Emma gives Melissa the heels and she puts them on.

"I found a sexy dress. She takes it off the hangar and holds it up. it's a pink dress and it has a small skinny bow in the front."

"That's cute." She grabs these black heels and puts the dress on.

"You look good in that."

"I agree." I stand up. "My turn now." I walk to my closet and I scan the outfits. A red dress catches my eye. I take it off the hangar and I hold it up. "This is the one. This is super sexy." It's a bright red dress that's off the shoulder and it has long strings to tie it. I grab a pair of black heels that have the cross over the foot. I put the dress on.

We all go into my bathroom and we start doing our hair and makeup. We put accessories on. Once we are done with hair, makeup, and accessories we grab our stuff.

"Let's take a group photo." We stand in front of my long mirror we pose Melissa holds her phone up and we pose. She takes like five pictures each one with a different pose and face. She quickly sends them to the group chat. "Now let's bounce and party all night." 

"Hell yeah." We walk out of our apartment making sure it's locked and we go down to the lobby. Melissa orders an uber. Once they get here we get in the car and they drive off. I'm just ready to party. We arrive at the location and it's a pretty big house. We get out of the car. There are people in the front yard talking. Some are making out. Some are drunk and shouting.

You can hear the music from outside. There are party lights and trash all over the place. "Damn the party has only been on for an hour and there is already trash everywhere and people are drunk."

"That's a party for you." Emma nods. We walk in the house and it gets louder. "Let's get some drinks." There are people dancing. Again trash everywhere. People making out, drunk people laying on the couches. We walk to the kitchen and we pour whatever drink they have out.

We all hold up our cups. "Cheers to having a girls night and letting loose and no boys."

"Cheers." We all say at the same time." We all take a sip. The burning sensation goes down my throat. But who cares. I take more sips. I so need this.

After I had a couple of drinks. I start feeling loose. We are all dancing. "Screw guys." I start swaying my hips as my eyes are closed.

'Yeah. Screw guys. Guys are pieces of shit." Me and Emma cheer. We start dancing. I take more sips. When I drink the rest of it I refill it back up.
