Blind
This is a RevDipcifica one-short for Mabel--Pines
I hope you enjoy it!! It's been a while since I done RevDipcifica since I've been busy with other things...So I am sorry if it is rusty and cheesy or crap.
Dipper POV
"Ladies and gentlemen of all ages! Welcome to the show!" Mabel announced to the show as she held my hand tightly while the other would be raised up in the air. I smiled as I raised my other hand to for fill the act, "We have an amazing show for you tonight. I hope you aren't afraid of the dark~"
Then suddenly the lights went out and people gasped and screamed. Of course...I wouldn't have noticed the lights were off anyways. A lot of people don't notice or even know that I am blind. I wasn't born blind, though. I would be an utterly disgrace if I was born blind to the Gleeful name. We were supposed to be the strongest, the most attractive, richest, and the most powerful people in this lazy town of Gravity Falls...even in the world.
Unfortunately, I was in an accident three years ago that cost me my eyesight. Luckily I have my powers to help me, getting to places...moving annoying things that were in my way...do keep doing the show...normal magic...and so on. My sister and uncles does nothing to help me. All they do it mock me anyways. I don't care...I don't need their help. I don't need anyone's help.
The show continued as normal and everything all went well. The mindless people seemed to enjoy the show...the dying fangirls squeal their voices away...sadly not all of them lost their voice.
Mabel bowed as she had this smirk on her face. Then she would turn back and walked behind the curtain to go back to the dressing room, as always. It was always a routine, which is how I 'see' things now. Mabel had to do a routine during the show so I can pretend I wasn't blind. Even though she didn't care for me that much to help me, she cared about our name so she does her routine.
I then bowed and blew a kiss out in the crowd and winked.
The girls went crazy.
"He winked at me!"
"No! He winked at me!"
Honestly I wasn't winking at anyone...
Then I turned and headed back stage. I counted three steps and reached my arm out, grabbing the curtain and walking to the back stage. Once I was behind the curtain, I felt down the curtain to go to the wall so I could feel myself back to the dressing room. As I was walking, there was a box in front of me and I tripped over it. With a small yelp I fell to the ground.
"There is a box in front of you, Dipshit." Mabel snickered as she walked away, her heels clicking on the floor.
I growled as I grabbed my amulet that was around my neck, using my powers to know what is around me. Then I sensed that there was a bag of flour right above Mabel. It was use as a weight for things for a stage. Whatever it was for...it was going to help me. With a smirk I had the bag untie itself and the flour poured right on Mabel.
She screamed as the flour fell on her. Then she coughed as the flour dust was still in the air. Then she stomped her foot, "You ruined my clothes! You ruined my hair! How could you do that?!"
I smirked as I got back on my feet, dusting myself off, "Aww, come on...you look so much better."
"You can't even see! Argh! I hate you! The public can't see me like this!? This is an embarrassment!" She screamed as she stormed off.
I snickered at her misery...unfortunately I sneezed because of the flour in the air and it was my stupid kitten sneezed. I cursed under my breath as I stormed off.
---------------------------------------------------------------
I started to walk through the forest, taking a breather. Walking through the forest was the only time I can just be alone, have peace, and enjoy nature. Even though I couldn't see it anymore, I can feel it and that is all I need to calm my nerves...it takes a lot to not try and kill my sister. This is the only way that I could calm myself so I don't kill her.
"Master...I-I don't think you sh-should be w-walking out h-here alone..." Will stuttered as he floated next to me.
"Buzz off, Will." I growled, "I don't need you here to help me."
"B-But m-master...t-the forest i-isn't safe!"
"You always say that and I always come back alive!" I snapped as I suddenly tripped over a root and fell flat on my face.
"M-Master!" Will gasped as he suddenly turned to his human self and tried to help me up.
I shove him away, "Don't touch me! I am fine! I am not weak! I am not pathetic! So don't you dare treat me like I am!"
"I-I didn't...s-say that..." Will stuttered.
I then got up myself and brushed myself off, "You are just like everyone else! Treating me with disrespect!"
"M-Master...l-let's just get you h-home..." Will reached out and grabbed my arm. I growled coldly at him.
SLAP!
"I said don't touch me!" I shouted.
Will whimpered as I can imagine him having tears streaming down his cheeks as he held his now swollen one.
"Now leave me alone! That is an order, you useless demon slave!" I shouted as I stormed off, "Why can't anyone just treat me like before...nothing is different...just because I fall a few times a day doesn't mean anything! It doesn't mean anything! I can still burn this town to the ashes...I can still skin a person alive and make them scream to their God...I am still the same Dipper Gleeful! The one and only! Nothing will ever stop me!"
Then suddenly there was this great force ran into me and knocked me down to the ground. I gasped out, having the breath knocked out of me from the hard impact. Then I groaned as I felt this weight on top of me shifting, "Oh my gosh! I am so sorry!"
The voice was female, someone I didn't recognized...so I didn't know them.
"Just...get...off...of...me!" I grunted.
"Oh right!" She replied as I felt her getting off of me, "Sorry, I was running away from...never mind you wouldn't believe me. Need help getting up?"
"I don't need help getting up!" I spat as I sat up, running into her stretched out hand. She had the hand ready to help me up. I slapped her hand away, "I said I don't need any help! I am not useless!"
"I didn't say that at all! I believe that you can." She replied as I sense her stepping back to give me room to stand up, "You just sat up before I moved my hand out of the way."
Grumbling under my breath as I got up to my feet, "I swear my clothes will be ruined by the end of the day thanks to morons like you..."
"Well why do you wear fancy clothing out in the forest? That's kinda silly itself." I felt the strings of my amulet being tug. I took a step back and pulled the strings back, "Don't touch me."
"You are sure jumpy." She giggled, "The name is Pacifica...Pacifica Southeast! You are??"
I scoffed as I folded my arms, "You don't know me?"
"Well if you shake my hand and tell me your name, then I will know you." She chuckled.
I felt my cheeks warm up a bit. I hated being blind...It was really embarrassing when this happens when they offer a hand shake but I can't see their hand so I never know. I cleared my throat, trying to play it cool, "Why introduce myself when you should already know me!?"
"Well...I just got here. I don't live here...I am actually spending the summer with my cousin." Pacifica replied.
"Still not an excuse, wench."
Then suddenly I felt a soft and warm hand caress my cheek, which caused me to tense up from how sudden it was. The hand was so soft...so warm...so gentle...it actually caused me to blush slightly.
"Are you blind?" She asked softly.
My eyes widen slightly before I scowled and slapped her hand away, the blush now most defiantly going away now, "Why do you think that?! I am not blind! I am not weak!"
"Being blind doesn't make you weak, Mr. Mysteryman. I never would think someone down like that. Just because you have a disability doesn't make you weak. It just makes you special and stronger than everyone else."
My cheeks felt warm from her saying that.
Nobody had ever said that to me, those people who know that I was blind. Of course Will but he get annoying with it, treating me like I need him as a guide dog or stick or something. He was still treating me that I was weak and pathetic, which I am not.
Then I heard some tiny shouts coming our way, "Find her! We must have out queen! Queen! Queen!!"
"Oh holy leg warmers!" She gasped out.
"Holy leg warmers?" I muttered under my breath, confused.
"Look, when I grab your hand or wrist or arm or whatever and drag you off...it's not because you're blind. I do that to everyone. Just ask my cousin!" She quickly explained in a very loud harsh whisper.
"What?" I questioned as I raised an eyebrow.
Then she suddenly grabbed my wrist and took off running, dragging me with her. I yelped slightly as she dragged me off to somewhere. She had a strong grip and was running pretty fast.
"What are you doing?!" I protested, "I will not be handle like a-"
Suddenly Pacifica yanked me somewhere and slammed me against what felt like a tree. Before any words could come a hand covered my mouth, "Sh!"
"mmhmhm mhmhm!" I snapped that was muffled by her hand.
Too much touching!
Then I grabbed my amulet, now being able to feel everything that was around me. At first was going to use it to make this this girl let me go but then I sensed a small army coming towards us. These beings were a lot smaller than a normal human being. These were not human at all.
"Find her! Find her!" They chanted as they ran pasted us. Then Pacifica release my mouth, panting, "oof, finally they are gone. I have been running away from those gnomes for hours!"
"What? Gnomes?" I questioned.
I knew this town had supernatural properties. My life is build off of these supernatural properties like my amulet for example. That is one in a million things that I had done with the supernatural.
"Never mind." She replied as she grabbed my hand, "My cousin is actually busy for the day, his dad is making him do some...things. Anyways, all of this running around is making me hungry. Want to go to the diner and get something to eat? It's on me!"
I folded my arms, "Do you even have money to pay for it?"
She replied back, "Do you?"
I scoffed as I rolled my eyes, "Are you serious? What does it look like!? A sad excuse of a peasant?! Are you that blind?!"
She giggled as she grabbed my hand, "Maybe but maybe you can show me otherwise!" Then she dragged me out of the forest and to the dinner that was in town. She led me to the place and to a table. She let me sit down on my own and she sat across from me.
"Do you know what you want?" Pacifica asked after a few seconds.
"I normally don't eat here...common folk food...makes me sick just thinking about it." I gagged as I leaned back in the seat.
"Have you even eaten here before?"
"....no..."
She giggled, "No, problem! I'll surprise you and I swear to the dancing queen that you will love it!"
"Why do you keep referencing old things?" I questioned but she never got to answer. There were sounds of someone coming up to us.
"Oh look who is it is! The old timer freak!" One girl scoffed that was followed by other girls, my guess two more, giggling. Then there was a gasping squeal, "Oh my gosh! It's Dipper Gleeful!!"
I groaned as I leaned against the table, holding my head. I grumbled under my breath, not wanting to deal with whinny little fangirls. It was the least I wanted to deal with today...again.
"Dipper Gleeful?" I heard Pacifica asking.
"Now, what are you doing here with him?!" A girl growled with such venom as she slammed her hand on the table, slightly startling me since I didn't see that coming.
"You don't deserve to be with the hot, the sexy, and the fabulous Dipper Gleeful!" The other girl added, the first girl who spoke up from before.
"Didn't you know he doesn't hang out in common folk!? Especially someone who needs a fashion and beauty check." The last girl snickered, "Did you blackmail him or something for him to hang out with you? You cold hearted witch!"
I didn't need to see to know that Pacifica was hurt by their words. I felt her shifted uncomfortably in her seat, her legs and feet brushing against mine. Then she growled under her breath before snapping back, "Look! It clearly shows that he would rather hang out with me than you. So I guess you don't know Dipper Gleeful that well! I mean...why would he hang out with your three?"
I couldn't help but smirked. This girl can fight back. I liked it.
Reaching up I gently rubbed my amulet. I could feel the people standing by us...the people in the diner...but who cared for that. No I went inside the three girls minds. I figured out what their greatest fears were. There were some that I could easily do right now for these three.
I smirked as I raised my head and looked up at them, well at least in their direction, "You know...I am very picky on who I hang out with." Then I tilt my head, filling my powers going through my veins, "Why would I want to hang out with a girl who is afraid of little spiders? Why would I hang out with a girl who is afraid of snakes? And most of all...why would I want to hang out with a girl who is afraid of last season shoes being glued to their feet?"
There was a moment of silence before there were gasps and screams. At this very moment, I knew what exactly was going on. Their fears had come true for the three girls. Spiders and snakes would be crawling on the girls and the other girl would have last seasoned shoes glued to her feet...forever and ever.
They screamed as they rushed out of the store, no doubt in tears and forever and scared.
I couldn't help but snickered at their misery, "Good riddance...hope they jump in the river and drown..."
"How...How did you do that?" Pacifica asked me.
"Does it really matter, sweetheart?" I asked.
"Did you just call me sweetheart?"
"Just order me a piece of pie or something and stop asking questions!" I huffed as I folded my arms.
The rest of the...day...went rather well. It was actually one of the best days I had in years. Pacifica actually treated me like a human being...like before I lost my eyesight. She didn't ask if I needed help. She left me take care of myself. The only thing she did was tell me what the menu of pies was. Then of course just help lead me to wherever she wanted to go, since I was so unfamiliar with the place. No one suspected a thing that I was blind. Pacifica made sure of that, she would grabbed my wrist and shout, "We are going to be late!" and race out as she dragged me away. It was like...she knew I didn't want people to know.
It was getting late and I was walking through the town with her. We were heading back to her place.
"If you don't mind me asking...how did you become blind?" Pacifica asked quietly.
"Uh...well...I was in an accident a few years back..." I muttered, "Let's just say it dealt with fire...and an explosion..."
That was the truth. Mabel and I were doing some experiments and it turned to the worst. There was an explosion. I ended up waking up in the hospital a week later...with no eyesight and other small injuries that were easily healed.
"Oh...I am so sorry about that." She replied quietly.
I shrugged, "It doesn't matter...now how did you know that I was blind?"
"My grandfather was blind from getting ill when he was a kid. Being with him I just learned what blind people act. You didn't look directly at me and didn't seem to notice your surroundings all that well; for example, running into my hand. It was confirmed when I touched your face, being startled and your eyes shifting around. Don't worry...normal people won't notice it...so your secret is safe with me!" She replied back.
"Huh...thanks..." I replied. Then I moved my hand to run it through my hand. Once I brought my hand back down I felt Pacifica's arm, feeling her clothing. It was...different. Her sleeve was very loose...like she is wearing a poncho or something, "Uh...Pacifica...what are you wearing?"
"Oh! It is the latest 80's fashion; neon tennis shoes with leggings, a tank top, with an oversize t-shirt that goes off one shoulder. Then my hair in a high pony tail with flowers!"
"So they weren't kidding about your style..." I muttered.
"Is that a problem? Because it should be back in style!" Pacifica protested as she grabbed my hands and placed them on her hips, "The skirt is a little scratchy but it's sparkly!" She explained as she had me feel her shirt. Then she moved my hands up her hips to her waist and sides, "That is why you were legging under the skirt! Then the shirt is ubber soft! It also gives you more room to do whatever you want! It is way better than your fancy tight fitting clothing."
At first I didn't say anything. I was feeling the fabric to see what she was talking about. The skirt was scratchy...but I could feel were the design or the beads to cause the sparkle. Then the shirt was really soft...and it was baggy...her curves were really nice too...
I instantly blushed as I just realized that I was feeling her.
Then Pacifica cleared her throat as she moved her hands to her head, "My hair is almost as soft as the shirt..." She had me feel her hair and it was indeed soft. Then she moved her hands to her face, "I also think this style makes my face look cuter...can you feel the cuteness?"
I blushed deeply as I felt her face. Her soft, warm face was so smooth. Then I really turned red as my thumb went across her lips. I instantly pulled my hands away and cleared me throat, "It doesn't matter what you look like! I don't care! I can't see you anyways...All I know or even care about is that it shows how different and bold you are! That is it! There is no room for cuteness!"
"And I can tell that you like bold!" She teased as she hip checked me.
I stumbled a bit and growled as I tried to straighten my clothes, "You are just a mistake waiting to happen....with thousand more to come after that..."
"I guess I'm just irresistible with risk. Are you willing to take risks, Dipper?" She asked.
I scoffed as I rolled my eyes, "Only if you know what I really do you wouldn't be answering that question."
Then she stopped and grabbed my arm, "Then why don't we hang out tomorrow and we can learn more about each other? I would love to get to know you better...and to make you smile for once...that is my new summer goal!"
"To make me smile?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Mhm! Now this is my stop! Now I can know you can handle your way back to your place, Mr. egotistical big shot. Just know you are at the Mystery Shack, my home from the summer and that you are always welcome to join me." Then she kissed my cheek, "And thanks for helping me...and for a great day." Then I felt her started to leave my side.
My hand reached up and touched my cheek, still feeling her warmth on my skin.
"See you tomorrow, Dipstick!" I heard Pacifica calling back to me.
I frowned as I glared in her direction, "its Dipper! Not any of that...weird nicknames or pet names...whatever you call them! And you will never make me smile, sweetheart! Never!"
"I accepted that challenge!"
