Sci

It was cold.

That was Goths first thought.

Hallways that seemed to go forever in there sameness, the only difference was numbers on doors and the few monsters in the hallways.

Goth clung to Alters side tightly, the sterile smell putting him on edge. You could almost feel the pain from patients in some rooms, he did not want to be here.

A hand rubbed his back, and he looked up and gave Alter a wobbly smile.

"We just need to go to the desk there Goth," Alter said leading him to the Nurse desk on the floor.

"Noon appointment with Sci, under the name Alter for Goth," he told her passing his ID over, the nurse professionally took it and typed on her computer verifying the information.

"You can go right into his office there, he should be there in a few minutes," she said passing the item back, and pointing to the place they needed.

"Thank you, Alter said sliding the item away, then ushered Goth into Scis office to wait for the scientist. Goth looked around in interest, it was a large room with a patient area near the door. A desk by a window was covered by a large imposing computer and a board covered with papers.

"Don't touch anything," Alter told him, seeing his interest of the room. Giggling the babybones went to explore, there were many strange devices in the room.

He did stop by the board staring at interest at pictures, diagrams and a strange map that from quick sentences written on papers represented different AU's. Strings and pins we're everywhere, looking like the scientist had raided a yarn store for the board.

Anti-void where?

That seemed to be the main question written everywhere, and mind numbing math equations.

"Sorry for the wait, there was an emergency elsewhere," a voice said, turning Goth spotted his father speaking with a shorter and younger Sans with glasses. Most likely Sci.

He gave one last look at the board, then quickly walked over to Alters side again.

"Hello there, my name is Sci and you must be Goth," the older skeleton said offering his hand, Goth looked at him dryly and a blush settled on Sci's face. "Apologies, habit."

"We need a general health check up also not just his back, since hospitals in my AU don't have the gear or machines to truly give him a full check," Alter told Sci, Sci pulled off his glasses and cleaned them.

"Well, when you mentions his abilities I made sure to clear my afternoon. With a case like this, we need to know for his future health," Sci responded.

"Thank you for this Sci," Alter said with a smile.

"No problem."

White white white white

It was endless, empty... terrifying.

Error stared off in seemingly nothing, but in fact he was scanning the codes of the multiverse.
He blinked and let out a small huff, looks like nothing needed his attention at the moment. With long practice he ignored the grating voices of the anti-voice, pulling out his latest knitting project.

The Destroyer briefly looked up, at the sea of blue of strings and souls wrapped in them like a spiders victim.

The glitching monster wondered if he would ever be free of this duty.

Sci looked over the compiled results of the tests he had done on Alters adoptive son, Goth was going to be a very powerful monster in the future from these readings.

"He's definitely growing wings, its bothering him so much as his magic is trying to pretty much have them come into existence all at once. It happens sometimes for monsters, usually the ones outside birdtale," Sci explained.

"How long would you say till they.. sprout?" Alter asked, not quite sure what word to use for this.

"I'd say three to six weeks at most, I'll have a cream subscribed to you to run onto his back before bed ot help till then," Sci said making a note.

"That's a relief, anything else?" Alter asked, he didn't want Goths health to suffer. He looked to where Goth was coloring at Sci's spare desk, humming happily. Which likely meant the picture had cats, Goth loved cats.

Even if cats ran because of his power.

"I have a few vitamins and types of food he should eat and not eat at his age, your doing good but he's still not getting enough. You got him this far, a few months on these vitamins will help with his bones," Sci said passing out the papers he'd printed out after finishing the tests.

"Right, I think I recognize a few of these.. bone strengthening ones for young monsters," Alter said humming.

"That's right, however long he was out there alone did him no favors. He was likely not getting enough on whoever there parents magic were," Sci said, he was a bit angry about that.

"Would... giving him some of my magic help him?" Alter offered.

"I'd suggest a bit in the morning, till he says he has enough. Shell we set up an appointment in a month to check on his health and hopefully wings?" Sci asked opening his appointment book.

"Yes please," Alter said, and the two adults quickly set up another appointment.

"Goth time to go," Alter said prescriptions in hand, Goth abandoned his drawings and ran to Alter giggling as they picked him up.

"Home now?" Goth asked hopefully.

"A quick stop to pick up your prescriptions, then home."

"Okay dad, love you."
