A Ride To Die For
We walked down the streets and to the supposed place Sevika was at
The one and only bar- The Last Drop
We walked down the dimly lit place in silence. Vi had her hands tucked in her pockets meanwhile I was throwing my daggers around in the air
I re-thought about our conversation earlier. Everything we were having as bad news now might simply be because of some type of miscommunication
But at the same time she could always make up an excuse right? Or what if she didn't have a good one either? Would that hurt even more?
I just wanted to enjoy our time together but, apperantly I was failing at that too. No I wanted her gone. I was still hurt you know?
"Y/n" Vi began, her voice like a sweet melody- Holly shit I did not mean to write that. Ahem anyways "I'm sorry for leaving you. Really"
I tried to look away but I just couldn't. I glanced at her eyes and they were so...hurt and genuine. Longing. And it made my heart stop
"Vi I...where have you been?" The question that had been burning at the tip of my tongue since I saw her earlier today was finally out in the open, ready for whatever hurt it was going to get
"I was imprisoned. After they...killed Vander I was knocked out by an enforcer. Next thing I know I wake up in a prison cell"
I stopped in my tracks. Really? So that means that leaving wasn't really her fault
How I'm I supposed to feel about that?!
I just looked at her, frozen. What was I supposed to say? I'm sorry? I missed you? Or I hate you for leaving me all this time ago?
She grabbed my hands "Y/n, all I wanted when I was there was to see you and Powder"
I was still staring. God damn it I could loose myself in those eyes. Why did I want to kiss her? Fuck
I pulled away, my heart hammering in my chest and took a step back "Let's go and find Sevika"
* * *
I watched as Vi delivered the first punch. Everyone jumped off the table and ran past me and out trough the door. I smiled at them and narrowed my eyes at Sevika with hate I had so long grown to know as she got thrown on the floor
I approached and Vi saw me, winked and threw Sevika towards me. I punched her in the back of her head but she spun around and punched me in the stomach
Vi grabbed her waist and pulled her back meanwhile I used the opportunity to smash her kneecap so she will not be able to walk. It was a famous move of mine as you could probably tell
But she had a metallic arm that currently knocked me in the temple
I was down on the ground and for a second everything blurred before I got back up on my feet. Sevika had Vi pinned against the wall and she turned around with a surprised expression
"How are you still alive?" She mumbled in surprise and threw Vi to the side like she was nothing more than a potato
And somehow that made me even angrier. I reached for my dagger "I'm harder to kill"
Like a lightning the dagger ignited and it heated up in my hand. I dodged and swung around her punches and kicks until I reached her back. Sevika then refocused her energy onto Vi on as she got her occupied. But Vi was struggling with that metallic arm
It was an unfair advantage
So I cut it off
The dagger sliced trough it like it was butter and I savioured the shocked expression of that bitch. She watched as it fell down to the ground before screaming and rushing towards Vi
Then she was knocked out
I looked at Violet with a satisfied expression only to see her holding her hand against her stomach as a streak of red ran down her shirt
But when I looked back at the arm I had cut off I could see the same red dripping from the metallic frame which made me reconsider my decision, making me wonder if I should just finish her off
But when I looked back at Vi my heart dropped to the floor. She wasn't going to die on my watch. Not now, not ever. I knew I had to help her or otherwise I was going to hunt Silco down myself, for good this time
And I would make sure he will feel my pain as much as I would
"Lay down" I said sternly and put my arm under hers to help her stay upright
"I'm okay sunshine. Really"
"No you are not now let me work" I mumbled and gently lowered her down to the ground. I put my dagger to the side and inspected the wound. It was deep but thankfully not too deep to have damaged any vital organs
"Pull up your shirt" I said as I wiped the blood off the steel
"It's a little too early for that"
I rolled my eyes even tho I could feel my face heating up. It made a lot of unwanted images flood trough my mind as I got still for a moment. Too early for that indeed "Not like that doofus just- god damn it just pull your shirt up"
I was never going to admit how high up my throat my heart was at right now
She chuckled and looked into my eyes "I'm kidding hot stuff don't worry"
"Aaaand now you are blabbering. Great" I mumbled and slid my fingers to the edge of her shirt "Can I?"
Violet nodded and I pulled it up so I could work on the wound. I took out my dagger and watched as it started to glow a beautiful blue. The colour had always looked familiar but I could never figure out why
Since the wound was right next to her hips I had to pull down her waistband. I could feel her going for another comment but I received a yelp instead
It was a painful healing with those things. You could physically feel each and every cell mending together to seal your skin. The deeper the wound the more it stang
Like a fire in a way but it was ten times worse
"I think I would prefer to bleed to death" She mumbled trough her teeth as a painful groan left her lips. I pushed the steel just a bit more near her skin as I smirked and let out a loud laugh
"You dare do that and I'm bringing you back from the dead"
"So you like me now?" It wasn't quite a smirk on her face, more like a half smile. It made me rethink what I had said and my smile dropped
"Don't get any ideas princess. A stab won't change that"
"Come on sunshine you know you like me"
"Why do you always call me that?"
"Because you are so warm and bright, like a sunshine"
"Ha, yeah. Totally"
"You look pretty hot from that angle you know?"
The comment made my stomach do a weird flip flop which I ignored and refused to ever think about it, otherwise... "Of course I do. Why don't we switch places and then we can see"
"I wouldn't mind you being on top of me"
It took everything in me not to choke "Fuck Vi stop it"
"F-" I pushed the steel even closer to her skin as she scrunched up her face and let out a pained laugh "Ouch"
"Ouch" I repeated and shook off a smile from my face. I could finally see the skin on her stomach finally begin to heal, and a small wave of releaf washed over me at the sight
"We should do that more often" Vi mumbled and I shrugged
"Sure why not" I said sarcastically
"It's a date then" She grinned
My eyes snapped towards her "What? No! it was sarcasm Vi"
"I know. But you still agreed"
"I did not"
"Mhm you did sunshine"
I'm really rethinking my decision about getting her stabbed. I could stab her right now
"You wont"
I raised an eyebrow at her confident tone and scoffed "Oh? Why do you think so?"
"Because I know that little face that you do when you are about to hit someone and let me tell you, it's not it"
See what I have to deal with? Jesus
* * *
I was back at the rooftop
After all this time, I was back
I never really thought I would step foot on those ceramics again but here I am, looking out at the same wall I used to four years ago
Caitlyn and Vi had gone somewhere. And I let them
It was easier that way. No confusing feelings or a second heartbreak. I have had enough of those
"Hey Y/n"
I kept looking at the dancing people down below. In the corner there was a group of around ten people, dancing and singing around the bonfire I watched getting lit two hours ago
Violet sat next to me, leaving a comfortable distance between each of us but to my surprise it made me feel cold. I wanted her closer
"Do you like singing? I heard you back at the bar"
I nodded "Yeah. It's an outlet"
Vi nodded too as if she was checking an invisible box in her head "Why did you come here?"
I was tired of staying silent "I missed it I guess"
She smiled and adjusted her position, her legs hugging her knees like I remembered all this time ago "Me too. Remember that middle finger?"
I laughed a bit at the memory, a warm feeling spreading trough my body "Every word"
Vi looked around then down to the people dancing below "What did you do while I was gone?"
I shrugged "Work. What else?"
She smiled and turned her head towards me "Punching the shit out of people instead of me maybe?"
I raised an eyebrow before smirking "Yeah that too. But your skills had grown so much I'm surprised you did all of that in prison"
"You shouldn't. It wasn't that hard. You just punch the wall all day"
I turned towards her and raised an eyebrow, a light smile caressing my lips for the first time "We can see how your score is doing on that machine you used to punch so much"
She smirked "I'm in"
* * *
She almost broke the machine. Twice
I was watching her as she dodged every hit seemingly with ease, her legs fast as she rolled out of the way to deliver the next punch
She had more tattoos than I remembered. And I couldn't stop my eyes from going over each and every one them. Not just because they had an interesting design
A few beats of sweat rolled down her back as she took a towel we had found to wipe the sweat away, and gave me a side glance
"Like the view?"
"Very"
"I'm flattered sunshine"
I will never get over that nickname. I knew it in my bones. But as I pushed away those thoughts I refocused on our conversation "I'm not blind Vi. I have eyes"
She smirked and chuckled as she tossed the towel on top of the machine "You aren't straight either"
She had a point there. I had never been ever since I was a child and even more so when I was growing up "Did you just now figure that out?"
"You can't hide it even if you want to Y/n"
I couldn't help but laugh "Damn right I know"
"Maybe we should test it out" The grin on her face did nothing to reassure me that I should ask
"How?" My curiosity was getting the best out of me. I wanted to see how all of this would play out and in the end, I might want something to happen too
The moment the question left my mouth I could see her weight shift as she walked closer to me, smirking. I punched myself eternally. Why did you ask that? Like what were you expecting to happen?
I stood my ground as we had a silent staring contest, nobody wanting to be the first to break. Being the stubborn people we were it was hard not to
She put her hands next to me on the metal railing that surrounded the machine and tilted her head "Like this"
(Author-
Alexa! Play 'The woman was too stunned to speak')
I didn't speak as she trailed her hand up my arm, instead I narrowed my eyes slightly as I fought for whatever power I still had over the situation. I knew she would never do anything without my permission but it still made my heart beat with a sort of anticipation, the one I had felt briefly every time we were together
"How's that for a test Y/n?"
I could barely hear her trough the sound of my heartbeat yet even her brief voice compelled me to listen "I can't say I'm feeling anything"
Liar the voice in my brain whispered And you know it
She rolled her eyes and chuckled "First tell me if you are ok with this"
"I am"
"So you like it then" I could see the grin spreading across her face as my face became red. You did that yourself dumbass
"Fine. Maybe I do" I smirked and leaned slightly forward "And that's why we have to go. Your dear girlfriend Caitlyn is looking for us outside"
She frowned and looked behind her towards the door "She's not my girlfriend and I don't hear anything"
The moment the line left her lips we heard a faint 'Vi! Y/n!' like a hushed whisper so she wouldn't attract any unnecessary attention to herself. I grinned and pushed her off of me
"Come on sunshine put your shirt on or she might start getting ideas"
