Ch 60

2 days later

Chandhini was surprised to see advay waiting for her outside when she came back from Gauri's house.

Advay,'' you have got 10 minutes, quickly get ready we need to go out somewhere.''

Chandhini frowned,''I am so tired Advay, do I need to go?''

Advay,'' 8 minutes left. Wear casual clothes but no potato stuff please.''

Chandhini threw an irritated glance at him but obediently went inside and showered and changed. She took off all her makeup and quickly reapplied a lighter coat of foundation, added bit of mascara and eye liner to her eyes. For lips she just put on lip balm. It had taken her 15 minutes but well, that can't be helped.

Advay was waiting outside, he checked her white trousers and long shirt and smiled. She looked young and her age.

He opened the front car door for her. Chandhini was surprised, he was driving himself?

She got in and he shut the door and then, moved to other side, opened the door and slid inside the car.

Chandhini,''Where are we going?''

Advay,''long drive for now and then, somewhere else.''

Chandhini looked at him. They had never gone for long drive before,''why?''

Advay,'' What do you mean why? Can't we go out together for long drive?''

Chandhini leaned back and put on the seat belt as he drove the car out of the driveway,'' We can but we never did before.''

Advay,''life is full of first times.'' She noted he was in really good mood while all she wanted to do was lean back against the car and sleep.

He drove through the traffic while she looked out of the window.

Chandhini,''but where are we going?''

Advay,''Out of the city.''

Chandhini nodded, then said,'' Can we listen to music?''

Advay,'' hmm go ahead.''

Chandhini connected her mobile to the audio system and played her favourite playlist. The car filled with voice 'humein tumse pyaar kitna hum nahi jaanta ', advay tapped his fingers on wheel, he slowly sang along with song. A smile spread on her lips and she started singing with him.

Magar jee nahin sakte tumhare binaa

Humein Tumse Pyaar Kitna, Yeh Hum Nahi Jaante,

Magar jee nahin sakte, tumhare bina,

Hume tumse pyaar...

Advay moved his hand and held her hand lightly, chandhini looked at him surprised. He wasn't usually romantic.

Suna Gham judaai Ka, Uthaate Hain Log,

Jaane Zindagi Kaise, Bitaate Hain Log,

Chandhini moved her head so she could see his face clearly

Din Bhi Yaha To Lage, Baras Ke Samaan,
Humein Intezaar Kitna, Yeh Hum Nahi Jaante,
Magar Jee Nahi Sakte, Tumhare Bina,
Humein Tumse Pyaar...

Advay gave her a heated look as singer sang the next lines

Badhi Mushkilon Se Phir, Sambhalta Hai dil
Kya Kya Jatan Karte Hain, Tumhe Kya Pata,
Yeh Dil Beqaraar Kitna, Yeh Hum Nahi Jaante,

Humein Tumse Pyaar Kitna, Yeh Hum Nahi Jaante,
Magar Jee Nahi Sakte, Tumhare Bina,
Humein Tumse Pyaar...

She moved forward and kissed his hand. The song finished and next one started.

They drove for hours. Sometime listening to songs other time singing. Sometime he would stop the car just to kiss her. Chandhini felt like it was a dream. But even in her dreams she had never imagined this.

They finally stopped at a farm house. A servant was waiting for them near the front door.

Advay gave the car keys to him and took chandhini inside still holding her hand. He took her down the hallway, out into the back where there was bone fire. There was no one around. He took her past it and moved her face toward sky.

Chandhini looked at the dark night, there was no moon. She looked back at him. He pointed toward sky and back hugged her. He whispered in her year 5...4...3...2...1...happy anniversary as the sky lit with the same words. She was speechless, tears fell down her eyes. She turned and looked at him. He smiled,''surprise''

Chandhini hugged him. He was such a cheater, he hurt her with words and then surprised her in this beautiful way.

....

But the beautiful night didn't ended with them going back to Delhi. He took her to Budapest where she spent the happiest week of her life. He had already sent her leave application to college and Gauri had been his conspirator. Care free, she enjoyed each moment basking in his attention. They spent their days sightseeing and nights lost in each other. She wished to never go back wanted the time to stop but real life called. They went back to Mumbai deciding to spend the weekend there before going to Delhi.
