Yeah probably should upload this chapter.
Mark's POV
I woke up to see they had written something on my arm but rubbed it off... It was probably just them and their friend playing around again.
I climbed out of bed and had a quick shower, washing my arms so that I could write more stuff today. I quickly got ready and my mum drove me to Wade's house. We were picking up Bob and Wade before going to the cinema.
When we arrived Bob was already there. They climbed into the back seats and my mum drove us to the shops. (Usually for us, the cinema is in the mall so yeah)
While Bob and Wade were arguing over what movie we were going to watch I saw Jack and Felix walk in with a women. Jack and Felix were jumping around like little kids and discussing something.
Felix saw me and waved. Jack followed his gaze and seemed to shrink a little. But Felix pulled him over to us while the woman went to pay for tickets.
"Hey Bro's. What movie you watching?" Felix asked cheerfully. I notice Jack was slightly hiding behind him and avoiding everyone's gaze.
"We don't know yet. These two keep arguing over what we should see," I replied to my two friends, who still hadn't noticed Jack and Felix were here.
"Well we're watching *Insert cool movie cause author is lazy*", Felix replied as Jack looked around the large room at all the games.
"Well maybe we'll just watch that one. Keep an eye on my goofy friends here while I tell my mum," I said walking away.
I quickly told my mum the movie and returned to the others. Bob and Wade had finally stopped fighting and were talking to Felix, though I didn't see Jack anywhere.
"Hey, where's Jack?" I asked and Felix's eyes widened and he looked around. Then I saw him playing a first person shooter game.
I smiled and walked over to him, staying behind as to not distract him. He was really good at it. When he finished he had beaten the high score by nearly double the amount. He turned around and jumped when he saw me.
"Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to scare you...," I apologised. He glanced around, obviously looking for Felix. "Hey ah, you're really good at that," I tried to strike up a conversation. He smiled slightly.
"T-thanks. I've h-had a lot of practice I guess," he mumbled, stuttering a little, as he nervously holds his arm and kicks his feet.
I smiled at how cute he was. Wait what! No I can't think like that. What would my true love say.
"The others were looking for you by the way. You kinda walked off," I said smiling.
"S-sorry. I just wanted to play the game," he said nervously. He wasn't this nervous yesterday. Maybe its because Felix isn't with him.
"Nothing to apologise for. We just didn't want you getting lost. Come on, the others are over here," I said leading him to where the others were waiting.
"There you bro's are. Don't run off on me next time," Felix said running up to Jack and hugging him.
"Sorry Fe. Guess I just got curious," he said without stuttering or anything. Wow, he must rely on Felix a lot.
My mum came back with our tickets and the other woman, who was Felix's mum, gave Jack and Felix theirs.
~time skip to after the movie and we magically jump to Mark's house~
We were all sitting in my room playing left for dead. I only had 4 controllers so one person had to sit out. Whoever got the lowest score in one round had to sit out the next.
Felix was currently out and he was getting some snacks for us downstairs. Jack appeared to be the best player. He hasn't sat out once.
"Hey Jack, how did you get so good at playing games?" I asked after I died.
"Well, I play with Felix all the time. And when I'm not playing with him I'm playing online. I don't entirely leave the house often. Unless its with Felix," he said focussing on the game. He was nearly at the end and only him and Bob were left.
"Do you not have any other friends?" Wade asked and I heard a clatter and saw Felix in the doorway. He had dropped a metal bowl on the ground and some packets of chips and lollies.
"Ahh, sorry. I just... You alright Jack?" Felix stuttered and looked at Jack with concern.
I turned to see him frozen, staring off into the distance. His character died on the game but no one was looking at the screen anymore. He looked down at the controller in his hands.
"I'm alright Fe. And to answer your question Wade, Fe has been my only friend. Everyone else just used me to take their anger out on," he said sadly.
"Oh my god. I'm so sorry I asked I didn't kno-," Wade tried apologising but Jack cut him off.
"No its okay. I'm just gonna use the bathroom. I'll be right back," he mumbled as he left the room.
"Do you want me to come with you?" Felix asked as he walked past him. Jack shook his head and continued walking.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to upset him," Wade said to Felix. He smiled sadly.
"Its okay. Jack's just been through a lot of stuff and just needs time to calm down," he replied, picking up the stuff he dropped.
"Are you sure?" Wade asked, uncertain. Felix nodded as he placed the items on the bed and sat down.
"Yeah. He'll be alright. He just isn't used to being around so many nice people. But I'm sure he'll get used to it soon. He just needs support," Felix said smiling. We all nod.
"Hey ah, Mark? Your arm is doing that weird thing again," Wade said. I looked at my arm as writing started appearing. I quickly jumped up, grabbing a pen, and ran out the room.
"I'll be right back," I called out as I ran down the hall. I ran out the back and sat on the porch. I read the writing on my arm.
Hey
Strange. They never said hey before.
Are you okay?
There was a delayed response, just like at first but when the did I could only smile
See you at school :)
See you at school
I actually had something way worse but changed it because I didn't want to ruin the cute story :)
