=10= Multiverse

-

You sent Blue and Carrot back to their own dimension, and said a heartfelt goodbye. They may not be the Sans and Papyrus from your universe, but you love them none the less.

You turn to Ink.

"So... How do I get home?"

Ink seems to ponder this, and extends a hand.

"I need to show you something first."
Is all he says. Unsure, you take his hand.

He runs a finger across your palm, and a pleasent shiver runs up your arm.

You blush, but smile faintly when Ink turns away. He uses his other hand to unlatch his giant paintbrush from his back.

He makes a large arch in the air, from above his head to his feet.

In the air where the paintbrush touches, a large black streak appears.

It begins to peel apart, color swirling inside of it. Dozens of colors dance with each other, creating a pattern that your mind can't comprehend.

It almost looked like one of those 3D cards. When you look at it, it's a little blurry. But as soon as you look to the side, it changes.

It made your head hurt.

Ink pulls on your arm, and suddenly the blurry colors surround you completely.

Your thoughts are something along the lines of:

"WTF I have a headache. But it is so pretty!"

As soon as it started, it stops, and you find yourself standing next to an ordinary black line.

In a void of white.

Shivers and bad memories crawl up your spine, and two comforting hands appear on your shoulders. One from Ink, and one from Remy.

"T-Thanks."

"No problem."
Remy says.

"Of course, (y/n)."
Ink replies.

You smile.

It is a faint, small smile, but there none the less.

"Welcome to the multiverse!"
Ink says.

If your eyebrow wasn't attatched to your face, it would be looking for the non-existent ceiling.

"Is this it?"

"No! Of course not!"
Ink says defensively.

"Now welcome to the multiverse!"
Ink yells, raising his hands out in front of him.

You gasp in awe as something actually happens. Remy looks around in awe, followed by you.

Billions and billions of little squares begin to flicker to life all around you.

They seem to stretch on and on, as if they are constantly being created.

"W-Wow..."
You say, practically stars in your eyes.

Ink chuckles, and you find yourself wanting to hear it again.

What? No, no, you just met! You quickly push these thoughts away.

You walk forwards, looking at a little square right in front of you.

Inside of it is a little image.

It looks like a bedroom, but not one you have seen before.

A plain bed sits in the corner, as well as a desk, and a box. In the box is a pile of bones. On the desk is a single action figure, and it looks dusty and unused.

It almost resembles your Papyrus's room.

What really catches your eye is an outlet.

An outlet with a phone charger.

"INK INK INK!!!"

"What is it?"

"I need to charge my phone!"

Ink laughs, harder this time. You look at him curiously, wondering what it is that is so funny. Remy joins him, and your eyes flicker to him too.

"What?"
You say, a little aggravated.

"You are standing in the multiverse, and you're worried about your phone!?"
Ink says through his chuckles.

Realizing how immature you are, you begin to laugh too.

"Ink! I need to call my universe!"
You manage to say. Ink stops laughing.

"Wait... You can contact your universe?"

"Ya..."

"Hm..."

Ink begins to think, and the shapes of his pupils shift. He extends a hand, palm to the sky.

"Can I see your phone?"

"Sure?"

You hand him the dead device, and he twirls it around, examining it. You watch him with fascination, your eyes following the curves of his slender, boney fingers.

Your attention is averted when he speaks.

"Did Alphys make this for you?"

"Yup, the first time I met her. She said it looked ancient!"
You reply, chuckling at the memory. Remy laughs a little, even though he wasn't there. This confuses you.

Ink nods his head(-skull?), and hands you your phone back.

"She must have installed some component that allows for outer-dimensional communication. Maybe I need one of those!"
Ink says with a smile.

You laugh, and examine his white teeth and chalky face. He stares at you, a cute expression on his face. It is almost like a grin and lopsided smirk combined.

Suddenly his expression changes to a worried one. Your smile drops, and you grow worried as well.

"What's wrong?"
You ask.

"Well... I'm not sure how to get you home."

"What? But can't you jump between dimensions?"

"Yes... But I don't know how to get you home and keep you there."
He says with a sad tone.

"W-What do you mean?"

"Uh oh..."
Remy says nervously.

Ink sighs, and grabs his paintbrush off his back again. He keeps his fingers busy twirling it, and he stares at it.

"You know that portal that keeps bringing you from place to place?"

You nod your head.

"I think that it would just come back, and take you somewhere else again."

"...oh..."
You say.

Remy places a hand on your shoulder as comfort, and you silently thank him.

You think you understand.

Ink takes two viles of paint from his sash, one black, and one white. He dabs them onto his paintbrush, and touches it to the ground.

Wherever the brush touches, an object starts to appear. At first you think it is just a string, but then it attatches to something.

A phone charger appears, complete with an outlet and An adapter.

You gasp, examining the craftsmanship. Even though it was painted, it feels as real as anything else in your hand.

"B-But how!?!"
You say happily.

Ink laughs again, making your smile wider.

"It's apart of my magic! Now go on! Try it!"

"Thanks Ink!"
You say happily.

The charger fits into your phone perfectly, and the battery symbol flashes onto the screen.

You gasp, once again.

"It's full already!!! Oh my gosh!!!"
You squeal happily, unplugging the device.

"Haha, I new you'd like that!"
Ink exclaims with a smile.

The painted outlet disappears, leaving the charger to fall into your palm. You stare at Ink with hopeful eyes.

"Keep it."
He says.

"REALLY!!!"
You yell.

Ink nods, and you feel like hugging him.

So you do.

You ram into Ink, throwing your arms around his upper spine, where his neck would be. He gasps, and a second or two later he returns the hug.

You smile faintly, laying your head on his colar bone. Then you pull away, much to your dismay. He seems a little put down about something, but you shrug it off.

You tuck your new super charger into your pocket, and hold in the power button on your phone. Not too much longer, and your screen lights up with a satisfying ping.

You have 43 unread messages

"OH MY GOSH!"
You exclaim at the notification. Your friends are really worried about you.

"That's a lot of messages."
Remy remarks. You roll your eyes.

You scroll through your messages, seeing things like:

Are you ok!

Are you alive!

Answer!

All of the messeges are from either Alphys, Undyne, Frisk, or Sans. But some of the texts talk about how worried everyone is.

"Hey Ink, I have to call Sans, wanna join?"

"Uh... Sure?"

Ink shuffles to your side, and watches as you manuver through your contacts.

Calling Sans

Ring...
Ring...
"OH MY GOD (Y/N) ARE YOU ALRIGHT!!!! GUYS!!! IT'S
(Y/N)!!!"
You hear Sans's voice shout.

You point the camera away from Ink, leaving him as a surprise.

"Sans I'm ok!"

Hey you wonderful people! I am riding home from a vacation to Gatlinburg, so I had time to write this. Updates should continue normally from here. Thanks!
