The Red Killer

The Red Killer (Latin: The Rubrum Occisor) is an unidentified Cesscan serial killer active in Solario Urbs between the years of 1993 and 1996. Their name comes from the fact that they'd often carve R's into the hands of their victims and the red of the blood. They are responsible for the deaths of twelve people, teens and young adults.

VICTIM #1

a photo of Talia, taken the night before her death
January 17th, 1978 - April 21st, 1993

Talia Haven Annabeth Sollet was the first victim of The Red Killer.

Talia was born and raised in Solario Urbs, the second of three child, often the forgotten middle child. She was often described as very rebellious by her family, especially as she became a teenager. She often got in trouble at school and was actually on a week long suspension at the time of her death. She was purposefully failing all her classes, never turning in work.

The afternoon of April 21st, after getting into a fight with her mother, Annabeth, Talia marched out of the home. Annabeth was going to go after her before her husband/Talia's father, Sampson, pulled her back, saying they should just let her cool off. Annabeth relented.

"Hindsight is 20/20 as people say," Annabeth said in a 2017 documentary. All interviews will be from this documentary unless stated otherwise. "I should have gone after her. I should have shaken off my husband's arm and run after her and drag her home."

"I should have never held Annabeth back," Sampson said in his interview. "Hell, I should've gone after Talia with her."

As I'm sure you guessed, Talia did not come home.

That night, Talia was found by Solario Urbs Lake, shot multiple times in the head. There was evidence of sexual assault. Her left hand was missing while her right had an R carved into it.

Talia Sollet was buried in Solario Urbs on May 1st, 1993.

VICTIM #2

a photo of Juliet and her daughter, Antonia, taken a week before her death
June 1st, 1971 - June 28th, 1993

Juliet Ginger Hannah Album was the second victim of The Red Killer.

Juliet was born the second of four children, raised in a normal and happy home. From a young age, she was close friends with Nathan Danbi. When she was eighteen, the two began dating, and the following year, they moved to Solario Urbs and got in apartment together.

In 1992, Juliet fell pregnant with Nathan's baby, and in February of 1993, she gave birth to their daughter, Antonia. The couple had broken up a month before Antonia's birth, as they'd felt themselves growing apart, but decided they'd live together until Antonia was a year old.

In the late afternoon of June 28th, Juliet said she was going to go out to get some groceries, so she went out and never came home.

That night, shortly before midnight, Juliet was discovered in an apartment complex's dumpster, shot six times in the stomach, and three times in the head. Like with Talia, there was evidence of sexual assault. Her left hand had been cut off and in her other, was carved an R.

"I didn't want to believe it when I got the call," Nathan said in his interview. "The mother of my child, dead? It was gut-wrenching. I'd be raising Antonia on my own. How would I explain it to her when she was older? So many questions ran through my mind. Every day, every night, I have prayed that they will catch this sick bastard and bring him to justice."

Juliet Album was buried in her hometown of Maxinen on July 8th, 1993.

VICTIM #3

a photo of Nick, taken a month before his death
June 5th, 1968 - November 27th, 1993

Nickolas Kenji Eddobi was the third victim of the Red Killer.

Nick was the oldest of six children, born to a Japanese mother and Cesscan father. He was always described as very friendly, talkative, and responsible. He was very adventurous, often traveling to more exotic countries in South America and East Asia to go backpacking, usually with friends. His family often expressed concern about this, saying he'd get seriously hurt, or killed, or go missing.

"It's funny, in hindsight," Nick's younger sister, Carolyn, said in her interview. "That we were so scared we'd lose him while he was doing all that backpacking shit and then we lost him, when he was safe at home."

When in Solario Urbs, Nick would stay at his family's home. He'd usually stay for a couple weeks before going on another one of his adventures. In the afternoon of November 27th, 1993, Nick agreed to take his youngest sister, Julie, to the park. When at the park, Julie asked if her brother could go down to the nearby convenience store for some snacks and he agreed. Julie said she'd wait right there.

Well, Julie waited and waited and waited and Nick never came back. When the park was closing and Nick still hadn't come back, the police were contacted, and Julie told them what was going on.

Shortly before midnight, Nick's body was found in the dumpster behind the convenience store his sister had sent him too. He'd been shot twice in both legs and three times in the head. His right hand was missing while his left hand had an R carved into it.

Nick Eddobi was buried on December 5th, 1993.

It was after the death of Nick that the local newspapers began naming this mysterious killer as The Red Killer.

VICTIM #4

a photo of Cara, taken the night of her death
May 1st, 1977 - January 22nd, 1994

Cara Eliana Britney Rubrum was the fourth victim of the Red Killer.

Born a twin in a family of four, Cara was a normal kid. Talkative, funny, good grades, good friends, all that stuff. When she was fifteen, she began dating her classmate, Octavius Spicer.

The night of January 22nd, 1994, Cara was getting ready for a date with Octavius, which she went to, though she never came home. According to Octavius, towards the end of the night, the couple got into an argument with one another, which ended with Cara stomping off, away from the restaurant.

Octavius went to a local phone booth and called the Rubrums, to let them know what was going on. They thanked him and said they'd talk to Cara when she got back.

"I stay awake every night wishing I'd gone with her," Octavius said in his interview. "Called her name, begged her to stay, or told her that I'd call her parents and they could take her home instead of me. Hindsight is the worst possible feeling."

Shortly before six am, Cara's body was found by Solario Urbs Lake. Shot three times in the head, missing left hand, and a right hand with an R carved into it. There was evidence of sexual assault.

Cara Rubrum was buried on February 1st, 1994.

VICTIM #5

a photo of Brian, taken a month before his death
May 1st, 1977 - May 11th, 1994

Brian Ezekial Carter Rubrum was the fifth victim of Red Killer.

Born a twin in a family of four, Brian, Cara's twin, was a normal kid. Talkative, funny, good grades, good friends, all that stuff. He was on his school's basketball team but, after his sisters murder, he dropped everything to catch her killer and bring him to justice.

"Day after day, night after night, it's all Brian would talk about," Juliet, the youngest Rubrum, said in her interview. "Finding the Red Killer and bringing him to justice. Bringing justice to all the others he'd hurt and especially to Cara. It was very depressing to hear."

Day after day, night after night, Brian would leave the family home and go all around Solario Urbs, looking for clues, asking around if anyone had seen anything. He talked to the newspapers about his mission, though it wouldn't last very long.

May 11th, 1994, Brian left his house to go around Solario Urbs, to ask around. That night, around ten pm, his body was found in the same apartment complex as Juliet. This time, he'd been stabbed multiple times. His left hand was missing and his right hand had an R carved into it. This time, Brian had been found with a note. It gave nothing away, it only read;

what a failure

-the red killer

Brian Rubrum was buried next to Cara on May 21st, 1994.

VICTIM #6

a photo of Jadus, taken a month before her death
January 21st, 1978 - October 2nd, 1994

Jadus Tullia Chashena was the sixth victim of the Red Killer.

Jadus was born the third of four children in Hethetburg, Brookina. The family moved around a lot and Jadus got repeated fights with her mother. She became a habitual runaway in her early teens. September 19th, 1994, she ran away and never came back.

It's unknown as to what Jadus did while in Solario Urbs or how she ended up there in the first place, but it is known she came into the path of the Red Killer. Jadus' body was discovered in the parking lot of a grocery store. Her right hand was missing and her left had an R carved into it. At first, Jadus was a Jane Doe. She was buried under the name Jane Doe a year after the discovery of her body.

Jadus was identified in 2004 when her older brother, Luca, came to Cessca, as he'd been searching for his sister for the past ten years. He'd heard about the Jane Doe and gotten a DNA test, confirming it to be Jadus.

Jadus Chashena was buried in Hethetburg next to her since deceased father on July 20th, 2004.

VICTIM #7

a photo of Millie, taken shortly before her death
June 12th, 1979 - February 13th, 1995

Millie Fen Challio was the seventh victim of the Red Killer.

Millie was born and raised in Solario Urbs to a Chinese mother and Cesscan father, the oldest of four children. She was a normal kid, happy, talkative, funny, got good grades, lit up a room, all the trimmings.

"Everyone loved Millie," Bella, Millie's best friend, said in her interview. "She was friends with just about everyone in all of her classes. I don't get why it had to be her."

Millie often ran errands for her family. When the Red Killer showed up, she began always going out with her parents or a sibling, as it seemed that the Red Killer only killed those when they were alone. During the afternoon of February 13th, 1995, while both her parents were sick, Millie agreed to go and get the groceries, meanwhile her siblings could stay home and do what they needed to do. Though weary, they let Millie go on her own.

"We should have never let her go," Fen, Millie's mother, said in her interview. "Or we should have sent one of her siblings with her, I don't know. We should have taken precautions."

When Millie didn't return later that night, Fen and Daniel, Millie's father, sent out Millie's younger siblings, Tyler and Annie, and they went to Solario Urbs Lake, where they found their sisters body. There was evidence of sexual assault. She'd been shot twice in the throat and once in the head. Her left hand was missing and her right had an 'R' carved into it. She was found with a note that only read 'I got her'.

Millie Challio was buried on February 28th, 1995.

VICTIM #8

a photo of Josie, taken a month before her death
May 3rd, 1980 - August 5th, 1995

Josephine Laurie Juna Ladio was the eighth victim of the Red Killer.

Born and raised in Solario Urbs, Josie was raised by a single mother, the oldest of what would be five kids. Josie was most often left to raise her younger siblings. Josie and her mother, Arabella, often got into arguments with one another, which most often turned physical.

"That's what our childhood consisted of," Fionna, the second oldest Ladio, said in her interview. "Instead of parents arguing, it consisted of my mother and my sister arguing, though my mother was a poor excuse for one."

It was the norm for, after Josie and Arabella got into arguments, Arabella would kick Josie out for a couple days. Josie would stay at a friend's for a few days and then come back and everything would be normal again.

Well, August 3rd, 1995 was no exception. Mother and daughter got into yet another argument, which turned physical and ended with Arabella screaming at Josie to get out, which she did.

Two days later, the Ladio household received a call. Josie's body had been found in the same apartment complex as Juliet and Brian. Her right hand was missing and her left hand had an 'R' carved into it.

Josie Ladio was buried on August 18th, 1995. Arabella Ladio would commit suicide two days later.

VICTIM #9

a photo of Lola, taken two weeks before her death
June 16th, 1980 - December 18th, 1995

Amber Natalia Jade Bryan was the ninth victim of the Red Killer.

Amber was born and raised in Parisdollia, Cessca, the youngest of two children, by an American father and Cesscan mother. She had a relatively normal childhood by all accounts. Every year, the family traveled somewhere for Christmas, and in 1995, they settled on Paris, France. To save money, the family decided they'd drive up there, and they thought it'd be more fun than flying anyway.

On December 18th, 1995, the family stopped in Solario Urbs for the night. They got a motel room and Amber said that she was gonna walk down to a convenience store to get some snacks, as the family was running low.

Amber didn't come back. Only two hours later, she was found behind the convenience store. She'd been shot three times in the head. Her left hand was missing, with an 'R' carved into her right. She was found with a note that only read 'Fresh and new'.

The family canceled their trip to Paris. Amber Bryan was buried on January 1st, 1996.

VICTIM #10

a photo of Jacob, taken the week before his death
January 1st, 1979 - March 21st, 1996

Jacob Nathaniel Hamilton was the tenth victim of the Red Killer.

Jacob was born in Washington D.C., in an American family. Not much is known about his childhood, but, when he was seventeen, he decided to tell his parents that he was gay. This ended in a huge fight between Jacob and his father, William. Said fight ended with William kicking Jacob out.

"I remember that fight vividly," Hannah, Jacob's younger sister, said in her interview. "The screaming, the sound of things breaking. Even covering my ears, I could still hear it all."

Like with Jadus, it's unknown how Jacob ended up in Cessca but what is known is that on the night of March 21st, 1996, Jacob was found by Solario Urbs Lake, three gunshot wounds to the chest, three to the head. His right hand was missing with an 'R' carved into his left. Initially a John Doe, Jacob was buried next to Jadus, his grave only reading John Doe. He would be identified in 2005, when Hannah came to Cessca, having heard about the Red Killer and wondering if one of the victims could be her missing brother. A DNA test was performed, confirming her right.

Jacob Hamilton was buried next to his since deceased mother in Washington D.C. on March 15th, 2005.

VICTIM #11

a photo of Catalina, taken a month before her death
March 16th, 1975 - July 8th, 1996

Catalina Elisa Julianne Tallio was the eleventh victim of the Red Killer.

Catalina was raised by a single mother in a small town in the south of Cessca. The second she was eighteen, she left with her best friend, Alya Willis, and the two traveled around Cessca and Europe, partying and having fun and living their lives. On the night of July 7th, 1996, the two were at a party in Solario Urbs and ended up getting separated.

"We more often than not got separated at parties," Alya said in her interview. "We'd always just meet back up at the hotel room. That's how it went everytime. We'd go to a party, we'd get separated, we'd meet up at the hotel room, laughing to each other with new memories."

When Alya went back to the hotel room, Catalina was nowhere to be found. So, Alya waited and waited and waited. Until noon the following day, when Alya received a call from police. Catalina's body had been found in the apartment complex, six gunshot wounds to the head with evidence of sexual assault. Her left hand was missing with an 'R' carved into the right.

Catalina Tallio was buried in her hometown on July 20th, 1996.

VICTIM #12

a photo of Daniel, taken a few days before his death
September 20th, 1980 - September 29th, 1996

Frederick Daniel Johnathan Natebi was the twelfth and final victim of the Red Killer.

Daniel was born and raised in Solario Urbs by two dads, Christopher and Nikandr Natebi, conceived through surrogacy. When he was nine, his parents died in 1990 when he was twelve and as such, he was moved in with his grandparents (Chris' parents) in Lilibin, Cessca. He was greatly affected by the death of his dads and often tried to run away back to Solario Urbs, much to the dismay of his grandparents, who always called the police who always brought Daniel back.

One week after his sixteenth birthday, Daniel ran away again and this time he wouldn't come back.

Like with Jadus and Jacob, it's unclear what Daniel did while in Solario Urbs but, as I'm sure you guess, it is known he ran into the path of the Red Killer. On the morning of September 29th, 1996, Daniel was found deceased in front of a local bookstore. He'd been shot twice a in the head and twice in the chest. His right hand was missing with his left having an 'R' carved into it.

Daniel Natebi was buried on October 10th, 1996.

As of July 6th, 2024, the Red Killer is still unidentified. There are multitude of suspects but none have been concrete and all had alibis for many of the murders. Here is hoping that someday the Red Killer is identified and brought to justice.
