Chapter Fourteen.

Tracking down Kol was easy enough; follow the road to the village on fire.
The youngest Original resided in a cottage sat on a cliff, overlooking the sea.
The three immortals entered the property, clearly on a mission.
"Kol!" Niklaus boomed, the floor littered with several dozen dead bodies.
"All of my efforts to keep this family concealed, yet debauchery like this has led our father right too us!" Elijah seethed.
"Kol! Show yourself!" Niklaus growled, loudly. "This is no time for games."
Just then, Kol came through a door on the opposite side of the room to the three, gripping onto the whimpering body of a young girl until he'd drained her entirely, then, he dropped her corpse to the floor.
Kol smiled happily at the sight of his brothers.
"Come, come, brothers! It's always time for games!" He said, taking a swig of alcohol from a nearby goblet after gesturing a toast towards his family.
"We must leave. Mikael is nearly upon us." Elijah insisted.
Kol didn't appear to care much as he sat down on the nearest chair, resting his feet on the table in front of him.
"If Mikael were upon us, I imagine Niklaus would be quite dead." He smirked.
Niklaus was reeling in anger.
"I barely escaped! Father left the head of my horse on a pike in the town square." He growled.
"He killed poor Theo? What a beast! But then, Father's always hated you most. Surely he'll chase you if you flee, leaving me here. Perhaps I'll make myself mayor?" Kol mocked, only angering his brothers more.
"Rebekah and Finn have already boarded the ship. It is imperative that we remain together." Elijah noted, ignoring his little brother's previous statement.
Kol ignored the oldest Original and got up, moving towards Niklaus.
"Rebekah does what she's told because she fears Nik. And Finn is in no position to argue, given the dagger in his heart. I'll take my chances here." He turned to walk away, but Rayna Vamp sped towards him, blocking his path.
"Who exactly are you?" He questioned.
"Your worst nightmare if you don't co-operate." The Heretic smirked, folding her arms over her chest.
"I find it amusing that you think you have a choice." Niklaus said, smugly. "This is my dear old friend Rayna, by the way. She's half Vampire, half Witch and she's very powerful. So I'd be careful if I were you, little brother." Kol looked Rayna up and down in shock, clearly wondering how it were possible.
As he did so, Niklaus pulled out a dagger, dipped it in the ash of the one tree that could kill an Original – White Oak.
Rayna gestured to Niklaus, grabbing Kol's attention. When he saw the dagger, he began to panic.
But he wasn't quick enough. Niklaus Vamp sped to Kol's front, rather viciously putting the dagger to Kol's chest, while Elijah kept him from escaping.
Without any more hesitation, Niklaus plunged the dagger into Kol's heart, causing the youngest Original to scream out as he desiccated.
"What now?" Rayna asked as Elijah scooped his brother into his arms.
"We put him in his coffin, meet Rebekah, reunite Kol and Finn, then make our way back to America." Niklaus smiled.

By the time the Original Family and Rayna reached the Mississippi River, Niklaus brought it upon himself to 'take care' of the Humans aboard the ship. It was a slaughter; they murdered all but one, saving him for questioning and to carry their luggage.
It was only a few months after that that Rayna decided to part ways with them once again, leaving on all good terms this time.
