Everyone can make characters. And plot. And you can't tell anyone that their characters and plot are wrong or incorrect, because there's no such thing.

HOWEVER

The way that lots of characters and plots are written aren't realistic. In order to get your readers to feel along with the words you write, you want your characters and plot to be realistic.

I 100% care about plot and characters more than grammar and word choice. If the story and characters are good, I don't care about the technical stuff, and will tolerate bad grammar and spelling. I'm sure many of you are the same.
