Hermitverse (TDOQ #5)
Hi, guys! A little explanation for the prompt today: Hermitverse is a pretty ridiculous idea. It's pretty much where a person meets themselves from different AUs/timelines. I just chose 1 person. Enjoy!
----------
Tango woke up.
He was in a dark room, one he didn't recognize. As his red eyes adjusted to the little light there was, he got an idea of his surroundings.
A cot sat in a corner, a figure sleeping in it. Out of a small window near the ceiling, he could see some grass and a night sky. A small table sat by a wall, a drippy candle on it. Most of the small room was bare other than that.
Then the person in the bed sat up.
----------
As I got up, I saw some new person in my room. Great, who was it now? They squinted at me, then jumped back. "Who the heck are you?"
The person spluttered. "I- I'm Tango!" his voice sounded just like mine.
"Okay, one second. Let me see this, my eyes just aren't working." I sat up, walking over to a small lamp under my desk. I flicked it on.
There stood a man, just a smidge taller than me. He had red eyes, blonde hair, and a gray vest over a red flannel. Unlike me, however, he didn't have any demon horns or tail at all.
He stood in awe at me. He glanced around the room, too. Just then, a speaker went off. "Tango, can you come to my office, please?"
"Well, let's go. You're Tango, right?" he nodded. "Well, so am I, let's go."
----------
I walked into Grian's office to an unruly sight. He sat in his office chair, looking like he had been up over 48 hours straight. Which he had.
A Tango sat next to him on his desk, wearing a puffy jacket and gloves. He was badly singing a song.
A small Tango wearing a school uniform, only 10 years old or so, was screaming in delight as a Tango, who looked exactly like me except for his bright red hands, swung him in the air.
A Tango who looked more like the first other Tango I saw, except for the fact of him being about 16 and wearing a dull pink dress. He stood in a corner; chatting with the final other Tango.
He stood there, no horns nor tail. He was taller than everyone else in the room, and wore a striped shirt, ripped pants, tall boots, and eyepatch, and headband. He smelled of the ocean if I could even remember it's smell by now.
Grian stood on his desk, bumping his head slightly on the low ceiling. He shushed the jacket Tango, pushing him off the desk. He motioned for redhand Tango to put down tiny Tango. Guess you could say he was caught red-handed.
"All of you. Tango's room. Now," Grian sighed, pushing us out before slamming the door behind us.
Just then, I felt sick. I looked around, seeing the others with grimaces on their faces, some falling to their knees. I closed my eyes.
----------
I woke up in some sort of dorm room. Our Tango Gang sat in a bedroom, two beds on each side of the room. I glanced around: everyone was present.
After a second, the door to the room. Opened. "T? I heard something, and we have maths in seven-" The boy stopped. He gawked at us, freezing where he stood. He had a gray sweater over a white dress shirt and khakis. He had platinum blonde hair, parted in the middle; his skin was tanned.
He turned white. "T? Who are these people?"
For once, I heard the little boy's voice clearly. "Zeddie, It's just lots of me." He sat there, expecting the other schoolboy to understand. He clearly didn't.
"I'm a pirate," said the Tango with the eyepatch.
"I have fire powers!" The redhand Tango laughed, a flame growing in his raised right hand.
"Hey! That's my power!" The Tango in the pink dress complained. "My power is fire!" he held up both hands, both bursting with flame.
"I thought I was camping," the Tango in a jacket called. "I don't know why I'm here."
"I fight!" I exclaimed. "Against baddies."
The final Tango stood quiet. He was honestly the blandest in the group. "I... blow things up with my friends," he said after a moment. "We blew up my friend's house this week."
Zed- Zeddie? Nodded, still confused. "Okay-" the pains came back. The group groaned simultaneously, I shut my eyes tight.
----------
Tango shot up in bed. He looked around, sighing in relief. He was at his base, just under the golden Warner Bros tower. He smiled.
What a funny dream.
