BACKSTORY:

Lilith was born in Salem, Michigan to Sarah and Daniel Lyons. Two high school sweethearts, who decided to get married and settle down. Her was father a firefighter, and her mother was a cashier at the local grocery store. They thought there was nothing that could disrupt the life they had made for themselves. That was until their house caught fire.

It was the night after Lilith's 12th birthday. Everyone had been sleeping when her father was woken by a sound coming from the back of the house. Once he realized the sound as burning wood, he knew he had to get his wife and daughter out of the house. Daniel was helping the fire team locate the cause of the fire. And while they couldn't find a cause and chalked it up to bad wiring in the old house. Because everything in the house had burned down, the family had practically nothing to their name.

That was when both of her parents decided it would be best for their family if they just packed up and left. They moved to Byrdstown, Tennessee where they could stay with her mother's brother, Uncle Garret, while they poked around in search of a new house or other living conditions. Her parents started working again. They needed a way to make an income to afford housing. While they went out working, Lilith would stay behind and hang out with her uncle. Who happened to be the owner of a bar popular in town, Blue Oyster Bar.

At 16 Lilith started to rebel slightly against the rules her parents had put in place for her.  IT first started with coming home a few minutes past curfew, maybe going to hang out with friends without asking first. But getting away with the small stuff had put the thought in her head that she could be doing more. So the next time she knew everyone was out at work she decided to go to a party after school with a few friends. But the party was in the next town over, so one of her friends had taken her.

When she hadn't come home that night her uncle decided to contact her mother. And that is when it clicked in their head. She had gone out with friends. She had been mentioned it a few times, but they figured she would have asked if she wanted to go. So, they both left work, deciding they would take a drive and see if they could find her. Her father was in charge of driving, while her mother was calling around to see if any of her friends' kids knew of any parties in the area that Lilith might have gone to..

Finally, Lilith's parent's got wind of a party in the next town over and decided to check it out. Which is where they found Lilith. They loaded her into the car and were on their way back to Garrett's when they were hit head on by a drunk driver. Both of her parents died in the accident, though she managed to only have a few scrapes and bumps. Only one decent sized laceration, but nothing too bad.

As her legal guardian, Garrett was contacted by the officials who were on the scene. So he drove out in his beat-up pickup truck to go get her. While he was upset with her for having gone to a party without permission, he knew she had just been traumatized by the loss of her parents, so he decided not to lecture her. They just went home. - From that day forward, she decided that she would follow the rules given to her, within reason, and would start updating Garrett on where she was whenever she went to a new location (home, school, a friend's house, etc.)

At 18 she started her first job, working at the Blue Oyster Bar with her Uncle Garret. After about three months Lilith had gotten pretty good at the job. Making decent tips bartending and waiting tables. And as a gift to her, Garrett gave her the keys to her mother's mustang that had been sitting in the garage for the past four years.

Around this age was when she found a dog, who had been hit, laying on the side of the road. It looked to be a black and white English Pointer, and the collar tag read Garric but had no contact information. When she approached him he was fearful but far from aggressive. So she picked him up, put him in the Mustang, and rushed him to the closest vet. They said that he had a broken leg, but after a few weeks in a cast he would feel as good as new. She had lied to them and said that she was the owner and he had been running through her yard when he got out into the road and was hit. She figured if she had told them the truth he would be taken away, and she was lying if she said she didn't like the little guy. Knowing he would need to be back into the vet to get the cast off, she had managed to convince her uncle that the dog needed to stay with them.

When Garric, who they affectionately started calling Garlic, had fully healed he had been allowed to accompany her on her road trips to go hunting, but only the easy hunts such as salt and burns with non violent ghosts. Especially when she realized he had been pretty good at sensing where the ghosts were before they showed themselves.

At 19, Lilith decided she wanted to go to college for a business degree to help Garrett out at the bar, so she started applying to local colleges. She got excepted to a few, but settled on one in Crossville, TN. As that was the closest to Garrett's house, aka home.  And shortly after found an apartment in the area. Just after starting college she got a job at a local cafe.
