I Am 

I am silent like the stars in the sky, while thoughts explode inside my mind

I wonder after life in the galaxy while having an emotional breakdown. 

I hear the edgy notes of toxic rock songs,

I see drawings of chalk people on the sidewalk,

I want everything that life is willing to give me.

I am silent like the stars in the sky, while thoughts explode inside my mind.

I pretend to know everything but I don't.

I feel metallic strings pulse under my fingers,

I touch the pages of well loved novels.

I worry about my sneakers getting drenched by the cascading raindrops.

I cry over the death of fictional characters.

I am silent like the stars in the sky, while thoughts explode inside my mind.

I understand that life hasn't always been fair to the people I care for.

I dream of traveling and exploring this fantastically vast world,

I try to make an effort on every endeavor I encounter.

I hope I'll become someone my younger self can be proud of.
