Most modern pistols are "semi-automatic." Meaning that they shoot as long as you hold the trigger. The carrying capacity is dependent on the size of the round and the length of the magazine. Please research about gun policies if you want to learn more about a certain country's gun laws. Since some pistols do fall under the concealed weapons category.

And finally rifles. Sorry but other types will get their own chapter. So therefore the rifles. It is my favorite type. With the process of boring the rifling inside the barrel for better accuracy, thus the name "rifles" are born.

People tend to think them as longer guns. But here is a fact: pistols can have rifling in the barrels. That is why they are accurate.

Rifles tend to be carried in both hands. And they come in many types, sizes, and uses different types of ammo. Copies of this kind of weapon are indeed being made. Different qualities and time periods yield many versions and kinds.

My personal favorite is in the fictional type. Yes. You, the reader whom are writers can make your own. But remember, they all use ammo. Be careful when choosing the right kind. All guns can only use a specific size of round, shot, or other.

Gun attachments is nice. The limit is the size and hindrance. Hindrance: Does it block your view and aim? Can you still pick it up? And will it break your hands?

That last statement is important. A 50 cal. pistol is sometimes called "The Wristbreaker" for a reason. The kick of such a weapon will injure the user after prolonged use.

Now back to my favorite. It is Kiasttic-Menth 442. A fictional rifle with a two lensed holographic sight, foreword grip, and a collapsible butt stock. Each magazine holds twelve rounds of ten millimeter bullets. This is not just an assault rifle. It is an extension of the user.

I favored this solely on the ease of use. The short rifle is meant for urban conflict. But, the larger holographic sight allows firefights to the range of around .6 miles. Of course it helps to have the aid of satellites and computers.
