Stella's P.O.V

We stared around at each other in an awkward silence.
Umm... I thought.
"I guess we wait?" Aquilo said, breaking the silence.
"I'm cold!" Said Coventina.
"Maybe we should set up camp?" I suggested. I looked around. Behind me, was what looked to be a lush, green field. Trees were dotted around.
"Well, let's start there!" Said Leo, and started to walk towards the field.
Out of nowhere, his orb flew up, from his pocket, to hover above his head.
"What?" He said, staring at it. He tried to grab it. It flew up, and when his hands came back down, it went to where it had been before.
Suddenly, Obelia appeared and hovered above my head.
"Obelia, what are you doing?" I asked.
No reply.
"Obelia!"
Nothing.
Everyone's orbs started flying up and floating above their heads, too. We tried to grab them, but they'd just fly higher.
Briar closed her eyes and mumbled something like 'hawk'. After a moment, she morphed into a hawk. She flew up, and began to chase her orb about.
Everyone had different ways of trying to get their orbs.

Teriana joined Briar in the air as a Swift, and began following her orb through the air. Acours made himself invisible once more, and I guess he tried creeping up on his orb. Glacia made a net appear and tried to catch her orb with that. Aquilo ran about after his orb, not bothering to do anything else. Leo and I looked on in stunned silence. Covie stood a little way off, not doing anything.
Leo.
Yeah?
What if we just have to do nothing, like not try to get them away from our heads? Suddenly, Obelia dropped down and landed in my hands.
"Ow!" She cried.
"Obelia!" I smiled, relieved. "What happened?"
"I don't know! I just remember falling and landing in your hands!" She flew up and turned towards where everyone was chasing their orbs. "What's up with those guys?"
I laughed. I turned to see Leo standing still. His orb dropped down, too. He slipped it into his pocket.
"You know what, Obelia? I think I'm gonna let you stay out more." I said.
"Really? Yay!" She flew around my head.
"Only if you stop making me dizzy!"
"Oops!" She came to hover beside me.
Stella, do you want to scout out the woods?

Yeah, I guess. What about the others?

He grinned evilly. "We get to enjoy the show!"

"No!" I laughed. "I am not doing that!"
I ran over to where Covie stood.
"Covie, can you help me? We need to tell everyone to stop trying to catch their orbs. If they stop, their orbs will stop floating. That's what happened with me and Leo." I asked.
She nodded. "Okay!" She turned and headed over to where Acours had just reappeared. I looked towards Leo to see he was heading for Aquilo. I smiled, and turned to see who was nearest to me.

Glacia stood a few metres away from me, swinging her net about. I hurried over.
"Glacia!" I called. "Stop trying to grab your orb! When I didn't do anything, Obelia came down!"
She turned towards me. The net disappeared. Like before with Leo and I, her orb dropped down and landed in her hands. She put it in her pocket.

"Thanks!" She smiled.
We turned to see Covie, Leo, Aquilo and Acours trying to get Briar and Teriana's attention. Glacia looked at me. She raised her hand to her mouth and let out a piercing whistle.

All activity ceased.

Briar and Teriana flew down and turned to their normal selves. As soon as they reached the ground, their orbs fell into their hands.
"There!" I said, grinning.

"I don't know about you guys, but it's pretty dark. I'm heading for the trees." Leo said. He turned and began to walk towards the trees. Obelia began to glow, giving us more light.
We all started heading towards the trees, Leo ahead of us.

When we reached the trees, the sky was pitch-black. Our only light was Obelia. Leo took his orb from his pocket. It floated into the air and started glowing as well. Everyone else did the same.
"What's that?" Asked Obelia. She flew over to a tree. On a branch, sat a small rucksack. I ran over and grabbed it. Opening it up, I realised that it was much bigger on the inside. There was a few logs, a lighter, a couple of blankets, eight full water bottles, a few packs of biscuits and some apples. At the bottom was a note.

You might need these.

I smiled. "I guess we're set for the night!"

We set up a campfire, and were now sitting on the blankets, eating the apples.
"What do we do now?" Asked Covie.
"We don't know!" We said in synchronisation.
"Okay." She said, in a small voice.
"Sorry, Covie." I said.
"No, seriously guys, Covie's right. What DO we do now?" Glacia said.
I sighed. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Leo looking at something.
"Leo?" I asked.
"You guys might wanna look at this!" He said, panic plain in his voice.
We followed his gaze, only to become panicked ourselves.

A weird creature lay a few feet away from us. It's head was that of a wolf, it's body was wooly and grey, it's front legs were a lions, it's back ones were talons. It had a tail that was scaly, and trailed on the ground beside it, lined with sharp spikes.

It was terrifying.

It cracked opened a huge, golden eye.

Hi, my name is Snowy_Blossom, or Phoebe as my friends call me. I had lots of fun writing this chapter, and I think this is an amazing community thingy-ma-bob.
