Introduction

Hello!

My name is Melody King and I write fantasy! More specifically, a fantasy book called Fairytale Fate: The Legend Begins with OriginalFairytale.

I've decided to make this book for anyone who is thinking about writing a Fantasy story that takes place in a fantastical, magical world. (Or Earth, whatever you choose).

I know how daunting the idea of writing is and when I started I didn't really have anyone helping me. So this book will, hopefully, be a helping hand to those who are knew the genre, or writing in general.

Now, please realize that I am NOT an expert nor should my advice be taken as such. I just thought it'd be nice to have a place for aspiring fantasy authors to come to get some advice!

I'll link any sources at the beginning of each chapter so everyone has easy access to everything!

Here's a little rundown of the parts of this book:

Your Wish is My Command is where you can request for me to cover a specific topic I haven't made a chapter for.

Middle Earth is chock-full of world-building questions to help you make your world feel as real as ours!

Hogwarts is all about magic and magic systems.

The Yellow Brick Road teaches you how to outline your book to make the writing process as smooth as it possibly can.

The Magic Mirror details what you should do if your plot centers around a magical item so that it does not become a MacGuffin.

The Land of Stories is where you can share your stories and can ask for other people's feedback (but please don't ask for vote-for-vote since that is against Wattpad's rules. Any comments asking for v4v will be deleted).

Narnia is all about maps! That is where you can request your map to be made by yours truly!

The Enchanted Forest is where you'll go if you need help with fantastical (and not so fantastical) creatures.

What's in a Name helps you to pick out a title & tags for your book to help it stand out and be noticed easier!

The Mirror of Erised talks all about making your characters unique!

The Diamond in the Rough delves into the important characters that you need to include in your story

Klingon, Parseltongue, or Atlantean? give tips on how to create or incorporate languages into your story.

He Who Must Not Be Named focuses on how to write a good villain.

So go on to the part you want and I'll see you there!
