"Garroth you say you're going to tell her,"

"I know, I just want everything to be perfect when I tell her!"

"But if you wait to, long"

"I know I know, she'll be taken. That's why I'm telling her today."

Garroth was talking with his best friend Laurence about something he'd wanted to do for a long time. Confess his love for Aphmau Phoenix. Ever since she'd moved next to him in 8th grade, gone to high school with him, and started college he had a bit of a crush on her. Ok that bit of a crush was actually pretty darn large. Finally he was going to tell her. All he needed now was for her to return his feelings.

"Took you long enough." 

Laurence was always there to support his friend Garroth. They'd been friends for so long he really couldn't picture life without him. Kind of like unofficial brothers. Garroth was the shy one, Laurence on the other hand was an outgoing Casanova. He was the first one to know about Garroth's "little" crush. Since finding out he'd been pestering his bro to tell her. 

"Yeah yeah I know, I've had feelings for her for a long time. I just wasn't sure how to tell her,"

"Like I wasn't here giving you advice?"

"Shut up, you're never in a relationship longer than a month."

"Touché,"

"Anyways I've mustered up the courage to tell her. If all goes well,"

"I'll be first to hear?"

"How'd you know I was going to say that?"

"Garroth I've known you for years upon years, I'm pretty sure I can guess the next few words to come out of your mouth."

"And that's why you're my friend."

"Heh, well you should get going and tell her,"

"I will!"

Garroth then got in his car and drove over to the apartment complex where she lived with her roommates Katelyn and Kawaii~Chan. Mustering up all his courage her walked to her apartment door, knocked, and waited. Finally she came, her brown eyes sparkling with life and joy, long raven hair that never seemed to be out of place, and an ever present smile on her face. 

"Garroth? I wasn't expecting you. What brings you here?"

"I uh, Aphmau I have something to tell you."

"Spill it, I'm all ears."

"Aphmau ever since I met you I've always had fe-"

"Aph who's this, and what's HE doing here?"

Garroth perked up at the new voice. He turned around and saw another guy had shown up. Garroth absorbed his appearance quickly. Messy raven locks. Coal black eyes. A tan complexion and muscles that were very apparent on his bare arms. His face a scowl. Who was this guy and how did he know Aphmau. 

"Oh hey babe."

Babe? As far as Garroth was concerned Aphmau did not have a boyfriend.

"Aph he better not be getting close with you."

"Aaron you know better than assuming things. This is my friend Garroth. Garroth this is my boyfriend Aaron..."

Boyfriend...

She she was taken...

He was to late...

He couldn't tell her his feelings...

"... Garroth? Earth to Garroth. You there?"

Her words brought him back to reality. He had to leave.

"I uh yeah I'm here, I uh need to go,"

"But you barely just got here?"

"I uh remembered I neeeded to go meet Laurence somewhere! Bye!"

Garroth took off down the hallway. Tears threatening to come out. He held them in as hard as he could. He could still hear them talking as he ran.

"What a dweeb."

"Ah Aaron don't be so hard on Garroth, come on our show is about to start soon..."

They no, Aaron spoke of him as if he couldn't hear him, but Garroth didn't care. The tears he tried so hard not to cry were now spilling down his face. He felt sad, crushed, rejected, and pained. He was heartbroken.
