How can we catch the eye of as many readers who like cliché stories as possible?

Why it's as simple as finding a cliché title, description, cover, and a chapter with photos of the cast (a.k.a. face-claims) in all their beauty and glamour.

Let's start with the rundown of the Titles one could use to grab the attention of a reader:

The Bad Boy and His Nerd​​

Loving the Mafia Prince ​​[bad boy]

The Alpha King​​'s Possession

Being Mrs. Billionaire​​

​​In Love with My Kidnapper​​

My Stepbrother's Lover [Forbidden]​​

The Good Girl The Good Boy and the Bad Boy​​ 

A Needle in the Haystack (i.e. a common idiom that's a play on words such that "Needle" is probably the name of your MC)

A good cliché Description needn't be a description at all. All you need are the following:

✔️Sex 

​​✔️Dialogue about Sex

​​✔️The words "dominant," "possessive," "bad boy," "billionaire," "alpha," "angry," "mafia," "protect," "not-your-typical," "mother died," "angel," "innocent," "devil," "arrogant."

​​✔️A good description must always have the phrase "You're mine" Don't forget it.

​​✔️A quote from the toxic male lead possessing and dominating his woman.

​​✔️A couple of sentences about your not-the-typical female lead and a couple of sentences about your dark perfect male lead who has issues.​​

✔️ Rankings at #1 of random keywords like "Textbook"

✔️An Addendum: To cut down on using possessive words, call your male lead "Dom."​​

When it comes to Covers, try to be as homogenous as possible. Always go for whimsy for your font: something cursive and voluminous for your romance. For the dark romance, choose a font that reflects the hyper-masculinity of your male lead. So go for straight and stark white text against a black backdrop.

Chances are, most of the cover will be black because it should be of a male in a black tuxedo (as shown in the cover of this book).

The shirtless guy - 64-pack abs- shot

A couple about to kiss

A bride

Someone holding a gun

Wolves!

A gorgeous dark-haired guy smoldering

Stock imagery

A field of wheat

Tattoos and a motorcycle

Onto Cast Chapters/Face-Claims/Mood Boards

These chapters, which cast pretty much every single character in the book, gives Netflix good ideas. ​​

So of course, the female MC is cast as a gorgeous and statuesque brunette... even though she's insecure about her looks. Huh.

The male lead is an actor or singer so go for Timothee, Zayn, or Stefan.​​

​​The character playing the bad girl has got to be a blond bombshell who's as gorgeous as the MC... just up the glamour factor. You can't fail with Gigi Hadid.​​

​​If it's a triangle, the nerd boy is cute but not dark and dangerous, like Timothee. Never cast a normal nerdy guy to play the 3rd wheel.

If it's a hot for teacher romance, go for a guy in his early 30s, which is kinda old for Wattpad. ​​

​​If it's friends-to-lovers romance, cast Stiles. ​

​​If it's stepbrother romance, cast Stiles.

If it's bxb romance, cast Timothee as either your lead or your romantic interest.

​​Anyone who's anyone has a trailer, a mini-Netflix movie, so that Wattpad Studios can be prepped when they get their time to shine. Make sure you get a trailer ASAP.
