Writing style is your voice.

There are many ways to express the same scene.  How you do it is your writing style.  Take these three examples:

She found a coin on the ground.

Golden was the coin plucked from the muddy earth

From the thick mud she snatched the golden coin, clutching it in her small hand as if it were her salvation.

The first example is short, simple and straight to the point. The second uses more descriptive words and a poetic sentence structure.  The last tries to paint a picture for the reader.

You don't have to stick to one style, just like you don't have to stick to one pair of shoes. Write the scene in the style that works for it.

Your writing can run from straight to purple prose. (text that is so extravagant, ornate, or flowery as to break the flow and draw excessive attention to itself.) and everything in between.

Update:  @lyttlejoe provided perspective on the phrase "purple prose". In their neck of the woods it reflects the use of profanity, not flowery writing.  Good to know.

Eventually, things like tone, phrases and styles will all come together in your unique voice.

Have you found your writing voice?
