Ah writers block.  At some point every writer has to deal with it in some form.  

Previously we've looked at methods to keep you in the groove and strike while the iron is hot with your writing.

But what if the iron isn't hot?  What if you can't find a path forward?

Mr. Wells suggestion - try the element of surprise.  Do something different. Always write in the morning, try writing in the afternoon.  Always write at your special writing spot, try moving to the living room, outside, the basement. Your favourite cup of tea or outfit not working (don't laugh, I have a writing sweater) try a fruity drink or dress up for your writing occasion.

Shake it up and see what falls out.

Notice I said tea above.  Are you coffee drinkers aghast?
