Are there themes in your work of fiction that shine a light on an actual truth? Do you use a made-up character to tell the story of a real person? Do you take an event in real life and bend it to your story needs?

In my first book "Ruby Red" I bring forth the often-overlooked terrors of mental abuse - the kind where the bruises and scars are not visible.

Stories often use fake circumstances and people to shed light on the real struggles and persons around us or to try and make sense of life.  Kinda cool.
