It's basically impossible to have a plot without characters.  Short stories can maybe get away with it, but even then, its setting becomes its character.  

What kind of characters do you enjoy writing about?  Is it different from the type you enjoy writing?  If so, what kind do you enjoy writing?  Why do you enjoy these characters?
