Books name: Flames to Shadows

How you got the idea: i don't know- I can't really pinpoint where I got the idea because I always have these story ideas swirling around in my head, but I guess you can say it came from having had enough of reading books that portrayed the women as weak. It frustrated me to no end because why must the female protagonist be the weak one, who can't fight and is a damsel in distress who needs to be saved. That's how this idea came, to have a badass female protagonist and I love vampires too- so I merged them together and came up with Flames to Shadows.

Experience in writing the book:amazing, fun, hair tearing, stressful, emotional. When I first started the book I dove into it with no real plan, but then I started to realise that I can't just apply my idea to paper and bam- expect a book. So that's when time started to be taken out and dedication put in. Every step was a journey and you actually form a connection with each of your characters- the first book is completed and I didn't even plan on ending it the way I did, but it just came to me that that's how I decided that, that's the perfect ending.

How was your readers response throughout: surprisingly good, I say surprisingly because my book is a school of mistakes! Their response was so good that it motivated me in times when I felt like I just wanted to stop writing all together. A lot of people helped me improve my punctuation and grammar- I was so shocked when I realised how much I had! But, my readers are awesome!

Upcoming books: right now im writing a book in the humour genre- it's called 'thinking outside the box', it may be humour but there's an underlying message. Of course as well as that, I'm also going to start working on book two of Flames to Shadows! So that's something to look forward to.

Were the eminence awards any help: yes it was because not only did it give me the confidence I needed but also as soon as that sticker came up, more people added it to their reading list! And my reads boosted up to more than 2k!

Message to readers: to have one person reading your book should be motivation enough to carry on writing. Wattpad is a big place so chances are your book won't get the publicity it needs straight away- don't worry! It doesn't mean it's not good, it just means it's a pearl waiting to be found at the bottom of the ocean! Another message: don't let anyone tell you what your dreaming is too big or that fairytales don't exist because they're wrong- fairytales and big dreams can happen through your motivation and dedication to reaching them!
