A lot has happened since I fell off the face of the earth. 

First off, I am now an adult! 

[triumphant music]

I now have life completely figured out, I understand taxes, I am responsible, and politics are now interesting. 

[silence]

Yeah that was all painful to type out. Actually, I'm only just about to turn 19 next month and honestly whoever decided that 18 was the age of adulthood probably never had to live through being an 18-year-old who has now been given the title of "adult" despite still being in their teens!!! 

Adulthood shouldn't start until you've left your teens. Besides your brain isn't even fully developed yet! I can't make adult decisions when I still wear fuzzy socks with sandals during the winter because I'd rather not wear literally any other kind of shoe. 

So what has my life as an *shudders* adult consisted of thus far? 

Well I am working (except I started working before I was an "adult" so having a job doesn't automatically equal adulthood) at your typical fast food place. Been there for about a year and all is good. 

Except I live in constant dread that the rest of my life will be spent serving greasy food to ungrateful spawns of darkness masquerading as people who don't understand the concept of decency and have made me lose all faith in humanity.

So yeah, expect a lot of customer stories down the road because I got plenty of them. 

Let's see what else... Well, I still can't drive. 

Okay I can drive, I just don't have my license yet. The first few times I was taken practice driving I freaked out, hit a trash can, almost ran a stoplight, and nearly drove on the wrong side of the road. 

But considering how everyone else in this city drives my own experience behind the wheel is leagues above theirs. 

Alright, moving on. 

I have also graduated from homeschool! I am FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE 

But I still live at home so. I am SORT OF FREEEEEEEEEEEEEe

I am thinking about attempting to move out but like, that's a big thing. A big change in my life. Plus y'all know from the last chapter that I have bad experiences with moving so that might not happen any time soon, unless I could find a good roommate. 

But like, I still don't have any friends outside the internet. 

How sad is that? I disappear for how long and yet have failed to make any connections outside the web? Then again it's not like I have many opportunities to leave the house. I go to work, then come home. Go to work, come home. Go to work, come home. Go to work, come home. Go to work- 

AND YOU GET THE POINT MY LIFE IS AN ENDLESS CYCLE OF MUNDANE 

So since my "social" life is limited to the workplace, what do I do at home? 

NOTHING!!!!! 

Okay that isn't entirely true, I do have some new interests! 

For example, musicals!

LOVE
MUSICALS 

I don't know what happened but I have been converted to a theater geek. I listen to musicals daily, have gone to a couple of shows (Phantom of the Opera was a delightful experience minus the falling chandelier) and hope to go to more. 

And perhaps one day be in a show myself. 

Which could totally happen if I got my flipping license so I could drive to our local theater and volunteer or audition or something but noooo I have to be Miss Difficult. 

(Also still completely 100% single and will be forever alone except for a dog and maybe a ferret)

But yeah will devote more time to my love of theater in the future. Think of this chapter as a table of contents for what is to come in this book. 

What other interests do I have lately... 

I will say my enthusiasm for the MCU has died down a bit after the release of Endgame. Not because I'm bored of it or anything but I feel like the series has wrapped up its story and nothing more needs to be said.

Plus knowing that the only reason more movies will be made is $$$$$$$$$$$

And y'all know what happens when studios put the green stuff and politics over quality storytelling.

*mourns Star Wars* 

I have recently begun rekindling my old flame, Lord of the Rings. 

All I had to do was watch a 30-minute essay covering the storytelling mistakes made in The Hobbit trilogy and I was good to start retreading the familiar paths of Middle Earth. Plus they're making a TV series about it and you better believe I am going to critique the freaking Mordor out of that thing because if it doesn't live up to the expectations set by the greatness that is the original Lord of the Rings trilogy than I shall have choice but to smite everyone involved in its production

Oh yeah Stranger Things season 3 came out. 

Another interest of mine is a little YouTube series that I have fallen in love with, which I shall delve further into during a future chapter! 

Some of you might remember a while back when I posted a chapter stating that my interest had been caught by another fandom. Let's just say it has everything to do with that series. 

And next month I finally get to go to a concert to see a band that I actually love! 

Twenty-One Pilots here I come!!!! 

Seriously the only concerts I've been too have been people whose music I define as "Meh." So I just stood there awkwardly wondering why I didn't just stay home like the introvert I am. 

And I think that's everything... 

Oh yeah! My cat! Meet Toby the Cat! 

He ran away in May and we haven't seen him since. 

A moment of silence for our missing cat... Hope he's happy wherever he is...
