We are pleased to be back with a new interview with one of our young writers Ink_dreams09. She took the time with us to answer some very interesting questions, so we all can take a look in her mind and her ideas. 

ContemporaryLit: Let's begin with getting to know you. Can you tell us something about yourself? Introduce yourself to our followers.

Ink_dreams09: Hi, my name is Ayanika from West Bengal, India. I am a sixteen-year-old trying to figure out my studies and career. I truly enjoy reading books and am also a total movie freak. 

ContemporaryLit: That sounds you are very busy. When did you realize you wanted to become a writer? And why did you choose contemporary literature and its subgenres?

Ink_dreams09: As a child, I always found the world of stories very beautiful and fascinating. That intrigued my attention towards writing. You don't just create stories, you build a world so for me, writing became the space in between my study workload and school life. Contemporary literature became the source that connected the harsh reality with family elements of feeling loved. As a writer, I think, Contemporary literature serves the purpose of life - to live, fall and rise. 

ContemporaryLit: That are very beautiful words. How did you find inspiration for your work "Off script story" ? 

Ink_dream09: The main idea of the story came from a question that I asked myself once, "Are celebrities different from us? If yes, then what makes them different?" I don't have any idea why this thought crossed my mind, but it was a topic I wanted to know. As I explored more and more and researched the subject, I learned not everything is roses in that industry. I was curious and that's how the story came. The sub-plots and some scenes were mostly inspired by movies. I wanted to bring both sides of the entertainment industry and I hope I was able to bring them out.

ContemporaryLit: Sounds very interesting and deep that you did all this research. What can we expect next from you/what are you working on?

Ink_dream09: I have been working on my next story "Crack the Job" which will be about a girl seeking a job in a supermarket that only takes in employees who are married. The protagonist here will take help from her senior back from college to fake a marriage plan. This story will be filled with humor and chaotic characters falling into chaotic situations.

ContemporaryLit: You told us before that you still study. How do you fit writing in your busy schedule?

Ink_dream09:  As a student, I don't really get much time in the morning due to school, so I prefer writing in the evening. I try to give 1-2 hours to writing and during that time I don't focus on editing. I agree it can become tough to be consistent and do this every day, but it really helps.

ContemporaryLit: You have yourself a good schedule made. You told us about your hobbies of books and movies. Which books do you like to read?

Ink_dream09: I absolutely love murder mysteries and psychological thrillers though I am mostly a NA romance writer. I am currently reading 'The Psychopath next door' by CarsonFaircloth on Wattpad, and I was recently hooked on 'Pretty little wife' by Darby Kane.

ContemporaryLit: That's a very different genre from what you write. It's nice to hear you also read here on Wattpad. Will there be in the future a thriller story you will write yourself?

Ink_dream09: I am not very confident about that genre, but I have some ideas and I would love to be able to bring them out someday (if possible).

ContemporaryLit: Last question. Do you have some advice for other young writers?

Ink_dream09: I know there are a lot of teen authors here like me, and it becomes really difficult to be regular so my advice for them will be— to write, write and write. You can create a fixed schedule or use your free time. Consistency truly works miracles.
