I was reading a fanfic.[dont need to know what right now, ill @ the writer after I talk] and the writer portrayed Grian's Watcher wings, golden like an angel [or something like that idk]

What if, the Watchers, are actually like angels in real life? Except people portray them as terrible people, because, to see if their worth being a Watcher [please give me a break, im not religious, and i didnt think this through well], they put them though traumatic situations [not enough to actually like mess them up] to prove their strength.

And since people like to give Grian a fucked up childhood, he was "accepted" [idk how it would work honestly] to being a Watcher. Which is why, [most of the time] Grian's wings are often called "Watcher Wings".
