Orange Belt- For Your Sins

The earth trembled as the thunder roared the battlefield to life.

The sky cracked at the presence of the luminous streaks, separating the two entities standing above the fluffs of white that traveled the sky.

"You are but a demon! You dare judge me?!" He demanded to know, a streak of lighting contorting into a sword at his command.

The silver of his pupils was furious, a darkness hidden deep within their presence and his golden hair swooped down, covering his fair face slightly. His presence outshone the brightest star in heaven and in his voice was power and authority, still with a hint of beauty.

"I'm a demon, but that doesn't make me evil!" A voice emerged from the entity clothed in a pure coat of darkness. His wings were broad and resembled a starless midnight and his eyes were deeper than the ocean, a dark purple in color. "You have to stop Suriel!"

Suriel raised his sword to the heavens, electricity surging through his body. "Ludeil, I will never take orders from such lowly scum. Heed my final warning. Return to the depths of hell or I shall end you!"

The vibrations of his voice shook the world, great storms plaguing those who dwelled there and forcing the sea to rise from its humble resting place to consume the land.

"You're willing to destroy earth and everyone to get what you want?" Ludeil questioned, a darkened aura seeping from his body and metamorphosing into a demonic blade. "I'm sorry, but I won't let you slaughter the innocent, even if I die in the process." His words held no false to them, he was willing to die to prevent Suriel from accomplishing his goal.

"A mere demon, yearning for redemption. Nothing more." Suriel's grip on the bolt tightened as a smirk played on his thin lips. He satirized as he shook his head from side to side. "Pitiful. You really believe risking your life will gain you the favor of Father?"

Ludeil bit his lip, these words piercing his heart ten times over. Silence occupied the sky for a brief moment, the tension rising like a volcano from the sea, ready to erupt a catastrophe.

"T-This is not about Father. This is about you, brother. How can you be so...willing to eradicate all of creation to attain one simple reli-"

"It is not just a simple relic you fool! It is MY birthright! Father should have never given it to humanity! It wasn't HIS to give! Its MINE!" Suriel snapped, raising his blade and instantaneously appeared behind Ludeil, driving it deep into the back of his brother.

A golden liquid gushed from the wound, Ludeil groaning at the bolt's intense heat as it burnt away at his flesh.

Ludeil struggled turning his head towards his brother, his movements stiffened by the pain. His lips parted, a muffled voice escaping. "I-I said...I'd s-stop you..even if I...die!"

With his elbow, defying lightspeed itself, Ludeil knocked Suriel off, sending him a moderate distance away.

"You're a demon. Demons are no match for true divinity. It's a shame you'll die here right now." Suriel's blade vanished as he clasped his hands and closed his eyes. "I call upon the ancient song. Heed my call and come oh now. Forsake me not, I have no doubt."

Ludeil's eyes widened, knowing that if that chant was completed, victory for Suriel would be guaranteed, for no demon could survive the granted power of the divine. With not a second to spare, he sped over to Suriel but time had adapted a pace familiar to a turtle, cursing Ludeil with an unfortunate failure.

"I surrender myself to your glorious might. Now please, I beg, grant me the power to win this fight! Angelic Endowment, I call on thee!" Suriel's eyes flashed open, a blinding light overwhelming both the land and sky.

Carvings took shape across his body and a large rune appeared in the sky, invisible only to the human eye due to their inability to see true divinity.

From the rune, a pure white beam shot out and penetrated Ludeil's body, rippling through his body as it devoured him inside out. He writhed in agony, his screams vibrating even the stars in the night sky.

"Goodbye brother!" Suriel laughed as life relinquished its pack with the demon.

Ludeil's world went black when he heard a voice, clothed in a majestic light.

"My son, you are forgiven!"

His eyes shot open, a wave of light parting every cloud in the sky.

His wings transformed, leaving their darkness behind and bathing in the light. His eyes became golden as his wounds healed. About his body were golden carvings, known only to the seven Archangels.

"For your sins brother, you shall perish! Angelic Endowment hear me now!"
