Balloons. Confetti. Plenty of Oreos and Doritos everywhere to eat. (Although obviously not the pets by those names.) And now we are just awaiting my bestie, Grace Flowers. She opens the door and she squeals as we all jump out and yell, "SURPRISE!"

My hero comes over and hugs her, right after I do of course. "I've heard a lot about you today, Grace." Colton Dixon smiles at her. He explains about what happened with me today, and then he asks if she will sing a few songs with him. I honestly think I could have knocked lil' ol' Gracie over with a feather.

They sang together and the music and melody and their voices... it just felt like God was right there among us. I smiled. This moment was perfect.

I took the stage next and started singing a song that God had just put on my heart,

The party kept going and Colton had a long talk with Grace. Encouraging her, they swapped phone numbers and promised to stay in touch. I felt like things were really going in a new direction. A blessed direction!

Whatever may come of this life. The good. The bad. I only have one desire. I want You, God, to WRITE YOUR STORY on my heart.
