. . .
Stars hang in the dark, desolate void,
Merely dotted lights that barely gave light,
But it was a pretty sight.
The cold night air breezes past,
Nipping at your bare arms,
Hoping that the starry sky could last,
At least a moment or two longer before the sun would slowly rise from the horizon,
The promise of a new day coming with it.
The waves of the ocean overlapped one another ever so gently,
Toppling across to reach the shore, each one inching closer than the last,
In a rush for new space,
Only to retreat back as quickly as it creeped up,
Not being able to reach far enough.
Sighing,
You think of the waves representing people,
Humans,
Running over each other in an attempt to reach the top first.
Only a few being successful,
While the others are forced to go back as they just weren't able to reach something so close.
Like love,
Two people holding the other to their heart,
But,
As time stretches on,
A goal,
A dream that was once meant to be shared together,
Now shattered,
As the love ceases to exist.
The stars had only blinked in response,
The comparison seeming to real,
Too true.
It's hard to find love that will stay,
But if it does arrive,
How would you know?
How would you know that it's there,
Right in front of you?
How would you recognize it,
Before it dissipates?
You will,
The stars flashed as light slowly flooded the sky,
The moon slowly making its appearance to fulfill a promise,
You just will.
. . .
A/N: Honestly, I don't even know what this is. It's just a bunch of random words put together in a desperate attempt to make something, anything. I'll probably delete this later on. Don't mind it. I know, it sucks.
