Don't think of yourself as insignificant,
You are important,
Important to me.

Whether you know it or not,
Whether you think it's all a lie,
It's not.

You were there when no one else was,
You listened,
You stayed.

And then,
You left,
All so suddenly.

And I felt as if I had nothing left,
I felt as if I had no more happiness,
The light of my world was slowly draining into an empty space,
An empty room.

I didn't want to go on anymore,
I cried and I cried,
I spent hours in the bathroom,
Trying to get over this feeling that I never felt before.

The fear of losing you got to me,
And I knew,
In that moment,
I loved you.

But I lost you.

I loved you with my all,
Yet I kept everything hidden,
Because I knew you wouldn't agree,
You would shake your head,
Thinking I'm lying.

And so,
I live on,
I live to lie,
I lie to live,
Just so you don't leave me again like last time,
Just so I don't let history repeat itself,

Just so you will stay a longer.
