As always, some updates from the previous round.

Congratulations to the 30 brave fighters that participated and successfully completed their Brown Belt Round.

The usernames will be shared on the message board, as per usual, and those individuals can expect their stickers via private message before the end of Round 8.

Round 8 - Red Belt: 11 August to 25 August

Red signifies the red-hot heat of the Sun as the plant continues growing toward it. As a red belt student acquires more detailed knowledge, just as the plant grows slowly toward the Sun, so the red belt student learns to be more cautious with his knowledge and physical abilities. Red is a sign of danger, and the red belt is beginning to become dangerous with their knowledge and abilities.

Prompt: Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to write a 3000-word story. There are only two requirements here:

Your story must be a spin-off of a popular action-based fandom (movie/book/show/game/anime).

Show don't tell. Use those verbs! Read THIS article for more.

Guidelines:

> Word count must be between 2900 (min) and 3000 (max).

> Make sure we can identify the fandom: You can use cannon material, but please make it a spin-off, which means you need to create an alternate reality.

> You can make it a cross-over, but no more than two fandoms.

> Yes, you can incorporate original characters and elements into the spin-off.

> Swearing and violence are not considered mature, please read the guidelines linked in the first chapter.
