|--- Finding Your Process ---|
Every writer has a process. Sometimes it's conscious, sometimes subconscious, but it's there. The key is, do you like your process? Does it work for you?
If not, maybe you need to try something different, or simply identify what it is and refine it. In any case, different things work for different people, and if you're struggling to write some fucking words, then maybe your process needs adjusting.
I didn't know what my process needed to be for a long time. Getting into ghostwriting made me figure that out real fast because I was suddenly writing on a deadline, and it was rocky at first. But once I fell into a good routine, writing for work and for myself got so much easier! Now I know what I need to build a basis on a productive writing day, and I'm confident that I can get those words out every damn day. It's a very freeing feeling, and makes for a lot less stress.
So, are you feeling stressed and not able to get the words out of your head that you so desperately need to get out? Sergeant Emily, here to kick your ass. I'm gonna squeeze that writer process out of you and help you find your flow.
There will be four parts to this section:
Part One - The Organizer
Part Two - The Pantser
Part Three - The Hybrid
Part Four - Other Ingredients
And then I'll have some activities for you to do based on what methods you employ, or want to try employing!
What method do you think you're going to identify with the most? Why?
