The next day, the doctors at the hospital confirmed that she was unconscious but had no idea when she would wake up due to the Akuma that drained all of her energy in her body. They made sure she had IVs connected to check the readings of her pulse and heartbeat from the monitors.

Adrien and friends visited the hospital to give her well-care cards and flowers in hopes she'll wake up. Unsure if she remembers everything as Princess Justice or not. They don't want to give her any more pain if they mention what she tried to do as a supervillain, like how they didn't support her as good friends when siding with a liar.

Adrien was more worried about her and he refused to listen to his father for forbidding him to visit the hospital. Nathalie made a warning to Gabriel that if he continues to emotionally abuse Adrien, it can lead to Child Protection Services removing his son from his custody. Either let Adrien decide his life or lose his only child to be adopted in foster care.

Alya on the other hand blamed herself for not listening to Marinette about Lila's deception and felt horrible for not looking into the details and sources. Marinette did tell her that being a reporter is a lot more than posting blogs, it requires checking facts first. If not careful, her blog can be a total mess if social media followers find out that her blog is missing facts. What's also important is that gossip and rumors can be very hurtful too.

Felix felt responsible for his uncle akumatizing her and it added more guilt since he basically created Monarch. He returned to London to leave them in peace temporarily. He sure doesn't want to piss off Marinette since she's already had enough of his mischief and his impersonation of Adrien. Kagami had to wait a while to return the Ladybug miraculous when its rightful holder returned.

Right now, Adrien refused to leave her side while waiting if she'd wake up or not. The only thing he's relieved is her heart monitor beeping normally.

He held her hand gently, "Please wake up soon, princess" He begged for her to open those eyes he loved so much.

He felt angry at Monarch for akumatizing her into a destructive villainess, "Monarch's gonna pay dearly for this"

He looks through the window, seeing the rainfall. His mother once told him that rain is seen as a blessing from the gods, as it brings life to the earth and allows crops to grow. His father always structs him that rain makes you get sick and wet but Adrien always thinks outside the box.

"Things can't get any worse," Adrien said until he felt movement from his hand with hers as if she was twitching to wake up.

"Hmmm?" He turns to face her.

"......Adrien......." She muttered in her sleep.

"Marinette?" A small smile appeared on Adrien's face.

"......Kitty....." She muttered again as if her consciousness was slowly coming together.

Adrien stood up as she slowly opened her eyes, "Marinette, it's me. Can you hear me?"

"Kitty?" Marinette faced him, her vision blurred slightly.

"No, it's me. Adrien" Adrien said.

"Where am I? What happened?" Marinette asked.

"Uh, what was the last thing you remember?" Adrien asked, testing her memories.

"Our friends believed that liar and I headed home to fight this anxiety attack and then, nothing" Marinette replied by what she remembered.

"Marinette, I hate to say it but you got akumatized," Adrien said.

"No! Did I hurt people?" Marinette refused to believe she hurt people.

"Not physically actually. Ummm......there's something you need to see" Adrien turned on the TV about Lila Rossi who goes by Cerise Bianca, a pathological liar and a con artist with disguises who came from Italy.

"Lila's a con artist named Cerise Bianca?!" Marinette gasped.

"Yes, she wore a wig and fake eye color contacts this entire time. You were right she was a liar but we all didn't know she was a deceiver. We'll talk later, I just want you to get better, my love. Please, for me" Adrien turns off the TV and decides to lie down with her, never wanting to leave her ever again.

"My prince. I just hope it doesn't make everyone feel mentally scarred by this" Marinette said.

"Please don't talk about this. I just want to pretend it never happened" Adrien said.

"Okay" Marinette rests her head on his chest.

"I'm just happy to see you alive and back to normal. That's what matters to me. Don't ever leave me again" Adrien said, not wanting to go through the same pain when his mother disappeared or presumed dead.

"Never" Marinette hugged him.

"I love you so much, Mari" Adrien sobs a little.

"I love you too" Marinette cried on his chest.

The doctors saw them together, either to check on their patient or let her and the visitor have their moment time. They didn't want to ruin their moment but they did want to check on Marinette.

"Let's leave them together. We'll tell her parents she's awake" One doctor said.

"He really doesn't want to leave her. He's very scared for her" The female doctor said.

"I know" The doctor replied, going to call Tom and Sabine.

Much later, Tom and Sabine arrived to see Marinette. Her boyfriend really cared too much for her as much as they did too.

"Our girl has been through a lot at school. Should we change schools for her?" Tom asked.

"No. She needs her Adrien. Her friends will earn forgiveness one day until they learn to not make the same mistake again" Sabine suggested.

"Fair enough" Tom agreed.

"We both were fooled by that liar, hon. The school needs protection but it's ordered by that mayor who can't keep children safe" Sabine said.

"There has to be a way to fix it," Tom said determined.

"But how? As long as Chloe goes there, the school is under the Mayor's thumb" Sabine said.

"Impeachment should happen by then. Too many complaints at school will get filed" Tom said.

"No doubt about that," Adrien said.

"You're awake?" Sabine didn't know he was hearing them talk.

"Yes. I am" Adrien said.

"Son, we both are happy at how much you love our daughter as much as we love her too. You are like a son to us" Tom said, although Adrien was touched by this but a little shy about it.

"Thank you" Adrien smiled.

"Mom? Dad?" Marinette woke up again.

"Sweetie!" Sabine hugs her, "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine, mom," Marinette said.

"Thank goodness you're okay," Tom said.

"So you saw the news? That bitch who made my Mari's life a living hell?" Adrien asked.

"Yes, I can't believe they let a con artist into a school to ruin my daughter's life!" Tom said.

"But now we know what she is. The real her that will never have fame or popularity. She obviously can't accept that there are downsides to life. Like for example, being a model is very hard, not easy" Adrien said.

"It's like she doesn't know her place," Sabine said.

"Obviously not. My love, it's best if you don't know about what happened" Adrien said.

"Okay. But I take it the heroes saved me" Marinette guessed.

"Yes, they did" Adrien nodded.

Later, the doctors came to check on her condition before she was completely ready to be discharged from the hospital. So far she was healthy but still mentally traumatized by no memory of her herself as an akumatized villain.

They suggest heading to the therapy session place where akumatized victims go to help overcome their trauma and talk about their experiences. Marinette agreed since Cerise had caused enough for her alongside Chloe. As for her friends, they will make sure to be prepared and aware of meeting new people before trusting someone. They hope someday they'll be forgiven since they are giving Marinette some time to be ready to trust them again. Especially needing to take a school project to understand what a stranger is.

Right now, Adrien is keeping his distance from his father who is constantly being too strict with everything but Nathalie and the bodyguard got this covered, they didn't care if they got fired because if they did, Gabriel has no one left to work with him. If his behavior gets out of control, the Child Protection Service will permanently remove Adrien from custody if he continues to not take care of Adrien or treat him well.

Adrien was heading to the police station to have a word with Lila to hear her side of the story without lying. And he was cross with her too.

"Leave us," Adrien told the guards.

"Did you come to bale me out?" Cerise asked by pretending to be innocent.

"Don't! Don't ever play the pity card again. I did not come here to bale you out, I came here for the truth. Your side of the story. And I want honest answers" Adrien glared, simply not liking the real true her.

"I have a lying disease, I can't help it, Adrien" Cerise lying to him.

"There's no such thing as that made-up disease. It never existed, Cerise. From what I recall, you have a narcissism instead of a disease" Adrien corrected her.

"So you figured it out" Cerise replied.

"Yes, and all of Paris does!" Adrien said.

"Until it lasted too long" Cerise smirked.

"You couldn't fool Marinette or Ladybug with your lies. I only lasted an hour with you when we first met. But when you came back a few days after Heroes' Day, you impersonated me and put me in a locker" Adrien remembered that day when she was akumatized as Chameleon, she nearly ruined his life.

"It was fun when it lasted. And I could have ruined Marinette more if I took her shape" Cerise grinned.

"But we all learned what pathological liars like you do with victims! And your obsession with Marinette proves how much you want to take her credit so people can adore you like the way they adore her! You're nothing like her, Cerise! Marinette doesn't do things for popularity or fame, she does this with kindness and love by heart. She cares about her friends as much as I care about her. She thought you would change one day but seeing what you are, you never care about anyone!" Adrien states his facts on why Marinette has a great life, "Life isn't always easy, Cerise. As for me, modeling was never easy and I don't do this to be famous or be adored. Being a celebrity has its ups and downs"

"And what's that?" Cerise asked.

"Fame isn't fun and games" Adrien answered.

"So what?" Cerise crossed her arms.

"Clearly you seek for a life you always wanted. Neither being rich or poor. More importantly, why did you manipulate my father? He always sees everyone as a bad influence but he would never have trusted you to co-model with me" Adrien said.

"Ask your father. All I wanted was for you to be friends with me" Cerise said.

"Answer me!" Adrien hates to hear any more lies out of her mouth.

"Okay! I'll tell you!" Cerise flinched in fear seeing his rage, "Right after that day I needed help with my homework, your father called me and we talked face to face. I manipulated him that you needed a better friend and he sent me to spy on you to ensure that no one with bad influence gets close to you but my target is Marinette. I became a model for that exchange" Cerise confessed.

Adrien wasn't sure if she was telling the truth or using his father as a scapegoat to avoid the trouble she created.

"Whatever he did, he never saw your flaws and you were never a friend to me," Adrien said.

"But you did before" Cerise reminded him of the deal.

"Not anymore. I never asked him for you to spy on me. That is like stalking me and I hate stalkers. I gave you multiple chances to be honest with yourself but instead, you violated my trust and hurt Marinette so much that you also hurt me a lot to see how much of a monster you are becoming. And you faked your name which is called lying to everyone. What I see now is you're a fraud, a deceiver, a con, a manipulative liar, and a horrible human being" Adrien said, disowning her for good that there's no place for friendship or trust for her, "I hope you rot in jail for your actions" He said before leaving.

"Damn you, Adrien!" Cerise yelled.

Adrien stopped before turning around, "No, you actually damned yourself rather than try to be a better person. Bad people like him and you, never succeed in life. You avoid a problem and yet you create another after another. At the cost of ruining lives as well as yours" He left the place, "Things can't get any worse" Adrien sighs.

Once home, he was in his room and chatted with Marinette, telling her what he got from Cerise, "It seems that my father hired her to spy on me to make sure no one influenced me. That explains why she wanted to target you and lied to my father to convince him you're a bad influence" Adrien explained.

"It seems he's aware of her being a liar," Marinette said.

"I will have to talk to him about it but whenever I do, he always says he's busy with everything. I'm getting sick of it like he's forgetting that I exist" Adrien said, angry that his father would do something that it madness.

"I hope you know what you're doing," Marinette said.

"I don't but I'm able to speak up against anyone but not him," Adrien said, unaware that it's something more than hesitation to speak up against his father.

"Well ask him if he knew she was a con artist," Marinette said.

"And I will. Parents don't send a spy to spy on their kids at school, do they?" Adrien asked, unsure if it was a good thing or a bad thing. He always has his bodyguard protect him all the time but he doesn't come inside the school.

"Of course not. Not one that manipulates people" Marinette said.

"So it is a bad thing?" Adrien asked.

"Yes. It's like a violation of privacy" Marinette said.

"Exactly," Adrien said.

"My father was right about one thing, the world can be dangerous but he was wrong about me not being like everyone else," Adrien said.

"You're a unique guy, Adrien" Marinette smiled.

"Thanks, Mari," Adrien said.
