Nova and Kathrine walked into the Medical Bay to hear what Toland had to say to them. It had been a few hours, and the two had prepared themselves mentally for what had to come next. They waited for what Toland had to say. Patiently, but nervously. The elderly Warlock turned around to face them. Emily, in her still spectral state, was there to witness with them. She'd heard everything that he had to say; she had no more tears that she could shed.

"Toland...what is it?" Nova whimpered. He hung his head low in response.

"I am sorry, she is too far gone to save." He sighed.

Katie started to feel her tear ducts erupt into a flood, she threw her head into Nova's robes and fell apart. Nova was on her way with her, but Toland appeared to have more to say.

"However, her soul cannot reach the Afterworld, for Oryx has tethered her will to this realm." He continued. "For us to free her body, we must kill Oryx." He said. Nova could feel her fist start to clench, to the point where her fingers were digging into her hands, she wanted nothing more than for Oryx to fall by her will and hers alone.

"So...she's not with the Afterworld?" Nova asked him. Toland nodded in response. "Okay, then....where is she?" Nova asked him again.

"She is among us, Nova," Toland replied. "She is in a spectral state. In between life and the Afterlife."

"So, she's a Ghost?" Nova asked.

"Precisely." He told her before walking outside of the Medical bay leaving Monty with the two of them. Katie was still bawling her eyes out, staining the top of Nova's chest plate with the water coming out of her eyes like a flood. Nova wrapped her arms around Kathrine and started to lose control of her eyes herself. The two women sat there in the chairs crying to each other. Emily walked next to them and floated wrapping her arms around her Moms.

"Mom's...I'm sorry," Emily said to herself fully knowing that her parents couldn't hear a word that she was saying. She grew disheartened with the idea that she wouldn't be able to come back. However, it was the only way that she would ever be free again.

Oryx stood on his throne world in utter disgust, at his force's inability to stop the capture of that crystal. He looked at the large sword that was to his right. The Willbreaker was his weapon yet it seemed that this same group of guardians were those who vexed him the most. This "Vasquez" family, as they were called, had been the one group who had stood in his way through his entire invasion. His most powerful Taken minion was in the Tower, locked away from his direct influence.

"Dregen Yor." Oryx thundered, calling his lead soldier to his realm. The dark hunter appeared on one knee with his arm lay across his right.

"Yes my lord?" He asked.

"It has come to my attention that my most powerful Taken has been captured by the Guardians." He said to the Hunter.

"What do you wish for me to do my Lord?" The Hunter asked.

"I want you to bring her back to me; she is not useless to us yet."

"My Lord, will I not die if I am too close to the Traveler?" Yor asked him.

"Your life matters not to me, you have failed me too much for your life not to be considered expendable," Oryx replied not even facing Dregen Yor. "I will give you the means to get there. You are responsible for bringing her to me alive. I care not the condition you are in. Am I clear?"

"Yes, My Lord." Dregen Yor replied before rising to his feet.

"Yor..." He said before Dregen stepped out of the room. "Do not fail me again."

"Yes my Lord." He said before teleporting outside of the room. Soon Oryx was joined by his two daughters and his Warpreist.

"Father, what are we do?" Ir Anûk asked him. Oryx turned around to face the group of three who stood behind him.

"We prepare for them, ready your most powerful spells," He replied. "Warpriest, prepare your challenges for them. I will prepare to face them in the Throne Room; I will not be merciful." He told them.

Meanwhile, Dregen Yor appeared in the armory, taking one of the swords that Oryx had told him could break open a hole in reality. He would use this to break into the Tower unseen and tear Emily out before anyone even knew he was there. He knew how critical this mission was to both his Master and himself. If he failed, then there would be no coming back, Oryx would wipe him from existence. He took a deep breath with the sword in his hand and slashed across the air creating a temporal rift in the air. He continued moving it around to get to the area correct for the hole that he needed to make. If he made it in the wrong place, then the Tower would know what he was doing, and the Traveler would kill him if he were there for too long.

Yor moved it to the position in front of a massive wall on the side of the room. He looked and saw the Taken being in front of him through the portal. However, he saw two people in the room with her. Both of them were crying immensely. Yor peeked through the back of the portal, not piercing through the other side just yet. He could hear faint voices through the moans of sorrow and pain.

"Katie.....I'm so sorry..."

"I know....I just wish I got to see our baby girl grow up." She cried into her chest.

"Me too." She said before hugging her closely. Yor looked at the two of them oddly through the wall in front of him. The pair was a Human and an Exo, both of them crying about an Awoken who they called their child?

"What a strange family.." Yor thought to himself as the two continued to cry in front of him.

"Well...I guess we just get ready for a funeral." Katie sobbed as she stood up from the chair. Nova soon followed her, and the pair walked outside of the room as they shut the door behind them. Yor finally seeing his chance tore a hole through the side of the wall with the portal sword. He couldn't pass through to the other side. Otherwise, he could be disintegrated by the Traveler's residual energy. He closed the portal and decided for him to get Emily back to Oryx, he would have to be much craftier. If he remembered correctly, then there was a generator just outside of the Wall to the City.

Ikora had brought up that the Traveler's residual energy only extended to the Walls, and the Tower's main generator was a hydroelectric plant that was only a few miles south of the Wall. If he knocked out that generator for just a moment or two, then Emily would get out of the Tower faster than a cockroach in daylight, he thought to himself. He took the portal sword and slashed diagonally and moved through to the other side to the forest outside of Hope. With his thorn in his hand and the power plant in sight, he smirked to himself.

"Now....let's get to work," Yor said to himself as he headed toward the large dam, the Dark Guardian hid behind a tree just outside of the complex. The massive concrete structure was one of the crucial generators for the Arc substations in the city. If he re-routed the power for it to go to one substation rather than the one it was designed to go to, it would shut down the power to the Tower for just a brief moment. Disabling the anti-gravity chamber, and the forcefield that was containing the Taken warrior. He noticed that most of the soldiers that were in the area were frames of some kind or another. Each toting around a basic automatic rifle of one model or another.

Yor sneaked around to the top of the facility and looked around at the lookouts below. "Perhaps if I move to the lower levels through the vents then they won't notice. If I remember reading that schedule correctly, then I need to head down in three minutes to get the maintenance workers in the middle of their rotations. All I have to do is reroute the power for ten seconds." He thought as he moved to the inside of the building through the vent in his shadow state. He crawled around in the vents for a while until he approached the substation inside of the central facility that he was looking for.

One of the humans who was in a blue uniform and a cap was looking at his clipboard and checking off a list with his pen. Yor peaked at him through the vent, his green eyes glowing through the darkness inside of it outward, like a monster in a child's nightmare. The worker heard his watch start beeping, and Yor perked up at the noise. "Shift change. Wait until he is out of the room." He thought to himself as the worker stepped toward the door. He swiped his key card and typed in an eight character password as he then stepped out of the large white chamber.

Yor snickered to himself as he heard the door lock, using his shadow sneak he traveled down the wall and into the room. He moved over to the right and headed to the panel computers. The largest touch screen in the room was the same one that controlled where the arc energy was transmitted to. Including a timer that alternated where the power went to and when. "Welcome home, Emily." He thought as he started moving the blue holographic screen around manipulating the power.

"Katie, I just...what do we tell Will? He's going to be worse than we are." Nova asked her as the two walked toward their apartment.

"Nova....I don't know..." She cooed as they continued to walk. However before they could close the door behind them, Nova looked outside of the window to their right. The one looking out into the city. The power started to go out heading toward the Tower.

"Oh no...." Nova muttered as she sprinted off back toward the Medical Bay. If they didn't have the emergency generator online, then Emily would escape, robbing them the chance to give her the proper burial after they killed Oryx. If she got loose, then it would be over. However, as she started running, it was already too late. Frames armed with automatic rifles ran toward the Medical Bay as Nova heard a loud, animalistic, screech from the area. The Taken warrior ran out of the room as fast as she could as the emergency generators started to kick in. The beast ran through the chambers and corridors, dodging and weaving past Frames and Guardians alike, clinging to the walls and slashing across and through the armored plating of blast doors attempting to keep her in.

Nova ran through to the area just outside looking up as civilians screamed in horror and their wails echoed through the Tower North. Nova looked up with them and saw Emily crawling up the side to the top of the Tower. Nova without any hesitation blinked up to the top of the building in pursuit of her Taken daughter. "NO! I AM NOT LETTING YOU GET AWAY! DO YOU HEAR ME, YOUNG LADY?!" She shouted as she started sprinting after her.

The two kept running until Emily reached the end of the roof. Nova watched and kept running, her heart moving at nearly the same pace that she was if not even faster. Then right as the Taken was in her grasp, Emily jumped off the top of the Tower, into the forest below. Nova crashed her fist into the side of the roof as she watched the glowing figure of her daughter fading into the night.
