I made a trailer for this story. Please watch it and tell me how it is.

Maya dropped the paper and slammed the door shut. She sat on the bed,hugging her knees. She was perplexed. She wondered if all these were done by humans or spirits. She had a strong doubt if someone is playing with her. But whom should she doubt?

Adithya and Sameer were not even options. Then who else?
Her father? Her uncle? Her auntie?
She couldn't make out anything and slowly sleep consumed her.

Maya woke up early in the morning and decided to make a call to Sameer. She really wanted to know how his condition was.
She took her phone and made a call to Sameer. As her calls went unanswered for a few times, Maya panicked.
She woke Adithya up and they got ready to go to Sameer's house.
Their ride to the apartment was silent.Maya was lost in her thoughts.
A lot of negative thoughts popped in her head.
She came out of her trance when Adithya squeezed her right hand,indicating they had reached their destination.
She rushed out of the car and climbed the stairs to his apartment. As she reached, she saw that the door was already opened.
She entered inside and the door closed behind her before Adithya could come in.
She turned around to see Sameer standing with his arms crossed,leaning to the door. Adithya was banging on the door frantically.

"You rejected me for this man who is knocking on the door right?"he asked with a smirk.

She was confused at his sudden change of tune.

"What's wrong with you Sameer? You had accepted my opinion earlier. "she said sternly.

"No,I didn't accept it. What do I lack Maya? What's so special about him? I saved you from the fire.I was hell worried for you when you were in that room with your palm nailed to the wall. He was not there with you when you needed him the most. Sorry. He was the one who did all this to kill you. Then why do you love him? "he yelled.

"Shut up Sameer.Adithya did no harm to me. He saved me when the tree was about to fall on me. "

"You believed that drama? It was his trick to get closer to you. When would you realise all these?All those incidents took place before three days and he too came here before three days. Use your brains. "

"How do you know he came before three days? I never mentioned it to you."she said with a tinge of suspicion in her voice.

Sameer fell silent.

Adithya broke the door and entered the hall.He found noone there. It was pitch dark. He heard a small cry and he ran to the direction. He saw a room that was locked from inside. He broke in and saw a shrilling Maya being tied to a chair by Sameer.
He pushed Sameer away and hit his jaw with all his might. He untied Maya and was about go out when he was hit by something from behind.
He turned around to see a grinning Sameer standing with a flower vase.

"What the hell do you want Sameer? If you cross all your limits, I'll forget that you're my step brother. "Adithya yelled as blood dripped down his head.
Maya stood dumbstruck hearing what he just said.
"He... Is your step brother?"she asked with a blank face.

"Oh....Yes. "Sameer said and laughed out loud.
"He was brought from somewhere by my father.My father loves him more than me. He got whatever I got. But why should he? He is not my blood. He snatched my parents' love from me. He snatched my everything.I was fed up with him and left to U. S for some peace,then met you. Now, he is trying to snatch you. I won't allow that to happen. Not even in your dreams both of you will be together."he laughed hysterically.

"Didn't you ask me how I knew he was here three days before? I had seen him near your so called uncle's outhouse,searching for something. I knew he was the Adithya about whom you always blabber as he too used to talk about the same incidents when he was young.I just approached him and told him that I would kill him if he tries to meet you. But this fellow met you and spent a night with you. So....... good bye Maya!"he said and raised the flower vase to her head. But Maya dodged down and kicked him where the sun doesn't shine.
The flowers vase was snatched away from him by Adithya and he was tied to a chair.
Maya took out the Adithya's personal revolver from his pocket and pointed it at his head.
"Weren't you the one who nailed me to the wall and set the kitchen on fire?Weren't you the one who kept that note in front of my room yesterday?
Sameer laughed out again, irritating Maya.
"What else do you think I would do if you reject me? Huh!I swear I won't leave you. "

"Maya, please make a call to the nearest mental asylum. He has escaped from asylums two times when he was young. "Adithya said and lowered his head while Maya made a call.

"You bucket Adithya!!You knew he was a psycho and you never thought of protecting me."Maya flared her nostrils while sitting on top of him.

"Maya, he never harmed his loved ones. I thought if I stay away he won't harm you. But he was angry as you rejected him. Didn't I come for you when I came to know he is harming you? "he asked keeping a puppy face.

"Hmm...But still... "she stood up from his stomach and sat on the bed beside her.

He kneeled down in front of her and caught hold of her hands.
"Maya,Its not like I don't care about you.Sameer does what he says. That's why I decided to stay even though I was dying to meet you. If you die after meeting me, then I should live with that guilt. "

"So you will let me marry a freaking psychopath? "she asked sarcastically.

"No.I was sure won't do that. I've never seen that spark in your eyes. I didn't turn out as you'll be safe."

"But now you met me. He was not able to kill me right? Didn't you protect me today Adithya? "

"I did but what if I was not able to? He would have tied you to the chair and did whatever he wanted to."

"Could you just forget these buts and ifs. None can stop you from being with me.Understand?"

"I'm sorry Maya. I should have met you before. "

"I'm still pissed. One sorry won't do. "

"Okay then! "he said and placed quick kiss on her cheek. Before she could react,he ran out of the room.

She sat holding her cheek and smiling, thanking the stars for returning him back to her.

Maya and Adithya sat on a bench in the garden of Anandakripa. They had come back as there was nothing to worry anymore.
"Adithya? "Maya called.

"Hmm? "

"Everything was done by Sameer. But what about the blood I saw in my room and how did I reach inside the mansion before getting nailed? "

"The blood must have been your hallucination due to all the stress. About reaching the mansion.... Hmm... You must have been drugged or something. "

"Hmm...Adithya... "

"What? "

"Who will do the renovation works of the mansion?"

"Me? "

"You? "

"Yeah!!! I own an architectural firm "

"Amazing! How much time would it take to be renovated? "

"Eight or nine months I guess. "

Maya smiled and leaned to his shoulder as he wrapped his hands protectively around her shoulders.
