Maya's eyes widened,casting him a deadly stare through her tears. It was a look that could rip off someone into two.
His eyes showed pure confusion,wondering why she was glaring at him even though they had met after fifteen years.
What she did next freaked him out.
She caught hold of his shirt's collar and made him bend like a chicken. She started hitting him with her elbow until both of them fell down on the muddy ground.
The light summer rain had left the area all wet and damp.
She took some wet mud in her handd and spread it all over his shirt.
"What's wrong with you Maya? We're meeting after fifteen years and this is how you treat me? Moreover I just saved your life. "he yelled while she now sat on top of him and pulled his hair.
"Oh Really?Weren't you here since I had arrived? Weren't you the one who took Anand Uncle's note from the diary? Weren't you the one lurking around his outhouse? Weren't you the one who cleans the Krishna diety's face?
Do you know how much I cried for you? Do you know how hard it is for to believe you are dead? Weren't you seeing everything happening to me?
Did you try to show up infront of me when I was crying the hell out of me thinking that you're dead?
After all this, you want me to greet you with flower garlands? Wow!Awesome!"It was like an earthquake came to an end when she stopped her loud rants.
Adithya gently caught her hands in his and looked at her.
"Maya, I'm sorry. Yes, I was the one who did all that but.... I was not here when you arrived. I just came here two days back. You don't know how excited I'm to see you.I thought you would have forgotten me and Sameer would be your boyfriend.I didn't want to come in between so I decided to remain in the shadows and do what I came for."

"Oh really!! You haven't understood me and my feelings. But I can't blame you. We were separated at a very young age. By the way, why did you come here? "

"There are a lot of things you are unaware of.I..."

"Oh hello, I won't be flabbergasted if you say you came to kill my father. "she interrupted.

"What? You know it? But how? "he was shocked.

"There are a lot of things u r unaware of. I know you won't believe me if I say I freed your father's soul. But I did it. I accidentally freed him but now I think it was not a mistake. I came to know a lot of facts."

Adithya stared at her with big eyes.

"That means...My father's soul is here? He can hear me? "he sounded like a baby.

"Father!!! Your son has come back for you. I'll slay the men who killed you. This is my promise."he shouted and the whole atmosphere echoed his words. A strong wind blew as if Anand was answering Adithya.

A tear drop trickled down both of their faces.
It didn't take much time for them to brace each other in a tight embrace, afraid of letting go.

Maya and Adithya entered her outhouse like scarecrows dipped in chocolate sauce.
Maya still couldn't digest the fact that Adithya is alive and now with her in flesh and blood.
She asked him to sit on a couch and she sat beside him. He slowly took her injured palm and caressed her fingers.
"What actually happened Maya? I don't stay here at nights."he asked her.

"I don't know Adithya. There is something else other than Anand Uncle's spirit here. "she said and explained all the dangerous experiences she went through.
"I forgot to ask.How is Meera Aunty?"she asked while Meera's beautiful face flashed in her mind. He stopped the massage and his body stiffened.
"Amma is no more. "he said sadly.

"What? "

"Yes, your so called father had sent some goons to finish us off.My mother died protecting me.She begged me to run away while she was brutally tortured by the goons. I... I ran away, very far from our house and got hit by a truck.
The goons might have thought I'm dead. But I was saved by a rich man whom I view like my father now.
He brought me up.
The rage in me grew strong each year. My mother had told me everything about my father's death. She knew it was not a suicide.
I got the news that someone had come to renovate this mansion and I came here, all ready to kill that someone.
But it turned out to be you.I just feel......... "he stopped abruptly as she squeezed his hand reassuringly. A drop of her tear landed on his palm. He slowly wiped them away from her face and smiled. This is what she liked the most in him. He would always smile even if he is going through painful turmoils in his mind.
"By the way u missed a question when you were yelling outside."he said with a smirk.

"Huh. What's that? "

"Do you remember yelling 'Weren't you the one lurking around his outhouse?''Weren't you the one who took the note? ' etc. Etc.

"Yes! Tell me which question I missed. "

"Weren't you the one who killed Ravi? "

Maya stared at him with a tinge of fear visible in her eyes.
"Why did you do that? "she shrieked.

"Whom do you think killed my mother? Doesn't Ravi look like a goon himself? "

"You mean... "

"Yes. He led the gang who came to kill us. Maybe your father had sent him as he was the bloody trusted butler. "

Maya and Adithya decided to visit the priest next morning,to figure out why a lot of life threatening incidents kept on happening to her.
Now it was eleven at night and they were in the hotel room where Adithya stayed, as they were kind of afraid to stay in Anandakripa. The renovation works were also cancelled until they find out what's exactly happening.
The hotel had ran out of rooms so they had to adjust in a single one.

Maya and Adithya divided the bed into two.

Late at night,she lay awake on the right side while he was snoring like a bull on the other side.

Suddenly,Maya heard the calling bell of the room ring.
She slowly got out of the bed and opened the door. She found nothing else other than a sheet of paper lying on the floor.
She slowly took it and it read,
"You are doomed. "
