Barking of dogs and cries of birds echoed everywhere.Maya stood dumbstruck at the sudden happenings and a tinge of fear gripped her veins. After ten minutes of chaos, terrific silence prevailed in the room and all the lights were turned on.
Maya observed the surroundings and saw all the crew members standing with the same expression as of hers.

She slowly peeped into the coffin and saw a sheet of paper and a very old photo. There was nothing else inside. She picked them up and slowly examined each of them.

The sheet of paper was some kind of agreement and it was very old that she couldn't decipher what was written in it.

The photo was of Anand and his family, him, his wife and Adithya.

She walked out of the room in a slow pace, trying to process what was happening in this place. It has changed a lot. First she found out the locked outhouse now this coffin. She was confused.

She walked to her outhouse trying hard to read what was written in the agreement.

She opened her room's door and placed the photo and document on the table near her bed. She glanced at her family photo and saw something shocking.Anand's face had a yellow glow which no other faces had. She was sure, she hadn't seen this glow the previous time she viewed the photo. She stared at the glow and slowly it faded away. Maya ran out of the room and decided to ask her mother about this matter. She took her phone and dialed her mother's number.

"Hello Amma. "

"Hello Maya. How are you child? Didn't I ask you to call me after getting there? "her mother Mahima asked.

"Ohh mom leave it. I know Ravi uncle had informed you.I called you to ask something else. "Maya said calmly.

"Okay. What's it?"

"I just found a coffin in our house. How crazy is that Amma?Inside the coffin there was Anand Uncle's family photo and a document like thing? What do these things mean? "Maya asked restlessly. She decided not to mention the glow thing to her mother.

"Oh my god!Did you open that coffin? You are in danger Maya. I want you to take the next flight and come here."Mahima said with shock and terror etched in her voice.

"No Amma.You have to tell me about this. What is that freaking coffin doing in my house with my uncle's photo and a document inside it. I want to know."

"Maya, reduce your voice. You're speaking to your mother."Mahima yelled.

"I know that mom. I'm sorry. I'm frustrated with everything happening here. Please tell me if you know anything about this. "she begged.

"Okay. You won't believe it if I say.
After your uncle's death, all our family members except you,Meera and Adithya had some near death experiences. Prathap,Vikram and Parvathi began to see this weird dream in which Anand sits in his easy chair and sways.
When all of them got this dream continuously, we decided to ask a priest about it.
He did some rituals and told us that Anand's soul is forbidden from eternal peace as his death was a suicide. His soul thinks we are the reason for this as we are the ones who used to lock him in the outhouse and isolated him from everyone. In his suicide note, it was written that he chose death over life to be free from being isolated.
After visiting the priest, his loathe towards us increased day by day and finally he killed Parvathi's husband.
We had no other choice other than confining his soul in the the coffin with two important belongings of him. "

Long silence prevailed. After what felt like ten minutes, Maya spoke up.

"Why... Why didn't he harm me? "

"The priest told us that no soul would harm someone dear to him or her. "

"What is the document? "

"Only ur father knows. "

"So,he won't harm me right? "Maya asked determinantly

"Have you gone mad?I want you to come back as fast as you can."Mahima yelled. Maya just ended the call without giving any reply and put her phone on silent mode.

'If what my mom said is true ,then he won't harm me and I can look for ways to make his soul rest in peace. 'Maya thought and went to washroom.
She came back and started searching for her phone which she had kept on the table near her uncle's family photo.
She searched for it frantically and finally found it on the bed below a pillow.It was switched off even though it was fully charged  before calling Mahima.

It was 12pm and Maya cuddled close to a pillow while sleeping. After sometime she woke up as  she felt someone stroking her hair.
She looked at the mirror and found out that her unruly hair which she tries to detangle every now and then was now free of even a tiny knot.
In her life, only one person had did this to her and it was her uncle, not even her mother.

Suddenly she heard loud bands from her left. The object on her left was a huge window.She gathered every tiny bit of her courage and opened it to see her uncle's outhouse at a distance.
Through that building's window which was open, she saw an easy chair swaying back and forth and there was a kerosene lamp placed on it, lightening the whole room.
The door of the outhouse layed open.
Now she was sure, her uncle is BACK.
She spent that whole night awake to see if her uncle's soul comes to her room again. But nothing like that happened.

Maya decided to visit a priest to know what she can do to make Anand rest in peace.
She got ready and glanced at the mirror one last, the next second the glass of the mirror was broken into a million pieces.
She became mumb as she saw piece of glass was in the air and it carved something on the wall,without any external force,all by itself.
The carving read,
"Lies... "
