Chapter 39:

It was the time of morning, the sun was shining in the sky and it peeked into Avni and Neil’s room where Avni was sitting in her room and was making the list of shopping. Neil was coming to the room and he stopped at the door. Neil thought and looked at Avni and then he came into the room. Avni looked at him and smiled. Neil came to Avni and sat beside her. Neil thought and looked at Avni.

Neil: Avni?

Avni: Hmm.

Neil didn’t say anything so Avni looked at him and found him looking at her. Avni was startled.

Avni: What happened?

Neil: Ab, you know, the family has gone to a picnic.

Avni frowned because she knew that so she said hmm.

Neil: They got bored by sitting in the home.

Avni was confused.

Neil: Neav has also gone with them.

Avni: Are you missing Neav?

Neil lowered his gaze and smiled.

Neil: Yeah.

Avni smiled.

Neil: But.

Avni: But?

Neil looked at Avni who was looking at him.

Avni: What do you want to say, Neil?

Neil looked on and then he looked at Avni’s hand. Neil held Avni’s hand in his hands. Avni looked at the hands and then she looked at Neil.

Neil: Avni, why don’t you join Dad’s business again?

Avni was surprised.

Neil: Don’t you get bored doing household chores?

Avni was just looking at Neil.

Neil: Avni, why are you wasting your time (Neil looked at the notebook) in these all things?

Avni looked at the notebook and then Avneil looked at each other.

Neil: I know, you love to work there. I have seen you working with dedication.

Avni was looking at Neil.

Neil: Why you are not joining Dad’s business again?

Avni: I am fine, Neil.

Avni looked at the notebook.

Avni: and these things are my responsibilities. I was used to handling it when I worked in the office or in the school.

Neil looked on.

Avni: And now I want to concentrate on Neav and our family. I am OK with this housewife job.

Two days passed, the family came back and they were happy with the decision of Avni’s going office. Prakash kept his hand on Avni’s head. Avni smiled but she was worried. Avni was nervous but she was happy too. Avni sighed. Neil was looking at Avni and he was standing by putting his hands into his pockets. Neil was smiling and he sighed.

The next day, Avni was getting ready for the office and she was nervous. Neil was sitting on the edge of the bed and was looking at Avni. Neil noticed Avni’s nervousness. Neil got up and went to Avni who set her hair with her hands. Neil held Avni’s arms and turned her to him. Avni looked at Neil.

Neil: Don’t worry, you will handle everything efficiently.

Avni was nervous.

Neil: Don’t be nervous. Avni, you are not going office for the first time. You have worked there.

Avni: Neil, more than six years have passed. I am just afraid what if I will make some mistakes.

Neil: Nothing will happen like that. I trust you. You will manage everything and Papa is also there for your help so relax. You will manage everything.

Avni: I hope so.

Neil: I am sure about it.

Avni smiled slightly. Neil smiled. Avni sighed.

Neil: Now, come. Today is your first day in the office so I will also come along with you.

Avni was surprised.

Avni smiled.

The roads were floating in the vehicles. The door of the room opened and Neil was the one who opened it. Neil gave way to Avni and signed her to go first. Avni smiled and entered the cabin. Neil and Prakash entered after her. Avni looked at the cabin and it was decorated. Avni was surprised and happy too. Neil came to the table and picked up the bouquet. Avni looked at Neil who passed the bouquet to her.

Neil: Welcome to the Khanna Enterprises.

Avni smiled and took the bouquet. Prakash smiled. Avni looked at Prakash and Neil turned. Prakash came forward.

Prakash: Avni, my child, this is your cabin. Everything is the same as it was six years ago.

Avni smiled.

Prakash: This office has been waiting for you for years and today its wait is over.

Avneil smiled.

Prakash: I know, you must be nervous and worried.

Neil looked at Avni.

Prakash: And it is quite natural. It’s normal. But as a father, I would like to advise you. My child, you would not get anything by taking stress and panicking. Avni got some confidence and Avneil smiled.

Avni nodded.

Avneil smiled. Prakash went and Avneil was looking at him. They looked at each other. Neil held Avni’s hand and took her to the table and made her sit on the chair.

Neil: Hmm.

Avni smiled.

Neil: CFO of Khanna Enterprises.

Avni smiled. A cake was kept on the table. Neil lit the candle with the matchbox and Avni smiled. Avni blew it and cut the cake. Avni tried to feed Neil who took the piece and fed her and then Avni fed Neil by taking the piece from him. They smiled.

Time is the best healer. People learn to move on with time and if not then they learn to leave with that wound or pain. In Avni’s case, she moved on from the past. Six months passed and Avneil came close to each other. They tried to avoid the awkwardness between them and tried to behave like a normal couple. They got close to each other but still, they had to get intimate. Neil gave Avni her space. They were a happy couple and a happy family.

One day, Avni was standing in her room and was reading a file. Actually, she was checking it. Neil entered the room while using his cell phone and he looked up. Neil smiled and thought. Neil stuffed his cell phone in his pocket and came forward. Neil stood behind Avni who was lost in checking the file. Neil held Avni’s waist and Avni shivered. Neil smiled and took a breath near Avni’s ear who closed her eyes and shivered. Neil smiled and kept his chin on Avni’s shoulder.

Neil: What are you doing?

Avni opened her eyes and tried to calm her breath.

Avni fumbled while talking.

Avni: aaa… I. I… I was che, checking.

Avni closed her eyes.

Avni: I was checking the file. Ab.

Avni gulped and set her hair with her hand. Avni moved away and turned to Neil. Avni gulped.

Avni: Ab, Papa is not here so I have to handle everything.

Neil was looking at Avni. Avni turned and went to the table. Avni kept the file there and sighed. Avni turned and came to Neil. Neil smiled and thought.

Neil: Don’t you think that our family is going for outing a little more these days?

Avni smiled.

Avni: They are going out because we are not going out.

Neil frowned.

Neil: Means?

Avni encircled her arms around Neil’s neck. Neil looked at Avni’s arms and then he looked at Avni.

Avni: Means, they are doing it to give us some time alone.

Neil lowered his gaze and thought. Neil looked at Avni who smiled.

Neil: Oooo…

Avni nodded.

Avni: Yes.

Neil smiled and shook his head.

Neil: Our family.

Avni smiled. Neil was smiling and something came into his mind and his smile faded. Neil thought and looked at Avni who was surprised to see Neil’s changed expressions. Neil was looking at Avni.

Neil: If this is the case then we should also avail this chance.

Avni was surprised and Neil was waiting for Avni’s reaction. Avni was just looking at Neil who lowered his gaze. Avni smiled and cupped Neil’s face. Neil looked at Avni.

Avni: We will avail this chance.

Neil was surprised to hear Avni. Avni smiled.

Avni: I have already planned all that.

Neil was shocked.

Avni: No one is at home and the servants will also go to their quarters at night then…

Avni stopped and Neil was looking at Avni shockingly. His mouth was open.

Avni: Just wait for tonight.

Neil was looking at Avni. Avni closed Neil’s mouth.

Avni: Neil, close your mouth else the fly will go in.

Neil felt embarrassed and Avni smiled. Neil looked at Avni and he blushed. To see, Neil’s blush, Avni also blushed. They were smiling and blushing. Neil held Avni’s hand and pulled her in a hug. Neil was panting and he sighed happily. Avneil smiled.

It was the time of night, the moon was shining in the sky and it peeked into Avneil’s room where Avni was sitting on the bed and was blushing while thinking about something. Avni thought something and she started to rub her fingers.

Later, Neil entered the room and he was surprised when he looked up. Neil saw the room was empty. Neil looked around and there was no sign of Avni. Neil checked in the room and balcony but Avni was not there. Neil sighed.

Neil: God, this lady…

Neil shook his head and went in search of his wife. On the other side, Avni was standing near the fridge and she took out the pan of milk. Avni went to the stove and she kept another pan on the stove. Neil came there and he saw Avni. Neil made a face. Avni saw Neil and she avoided eye contact. Avni intentionally came there because she was feeling shy. Avni turned on the flame of gas and then she took the pan. Avni was about to pour the milk but Neil held her hand. Avni looked at Neil who looked at her also. Avni lowered her gaze. Neil took the pan from Avni and he turned off the flame of gas Neil went to keep the pan of milk in the fridge. Avni didn’t dare to turn and look at Neil.

Neil looked at Avni and thought. Neil came to Avni. Neil picked up Avni in a bridal style and looked at her. Avni was looking down. Neil took Avni from there.

Neil entered the room with Avni and he kept Avni down. Neil went to close the door and he locked it. Neil turned to Avni and thought. Neil came to Avni and held her shoulders. Neil turned Avni to him who was looking down. Neil looked at Avni for a while and then he cupped Avni’s face.

Neil whispered: Avni!

Avni felt a shiver in her body to hear Neil’s whisper.

Neil: Are you ready for our union?

Avni didn’t dare to look up and was feeling shy. Neil was waiting for Avni’s reply because he didn’t want to do anything without Avni’s consent. Neil didn’t want any type of misunderstanding between them. Neil was looking at Avni and was waiting for Avni’s reply who was looking down.

Neil: Say, Avni.

Avni looked at Neil and then she moved steps back. Neil was shocked. Avni turned and she moved away. Neil was looking at Avni shockingly and hurtfully. Avni was the one who asked him that they would consummate their marriage and now she is moving away. Neil was looking at Avni who went to the window and she held the shut of the window. Neil was surprised. Avni closed the window and curtains. Avni blushed hard. Avni turned to Neil who was looking at her confusingly. Avni came to Neil and looked at him for a few seconds. Avni cupped Neil’s face who looked at Avni’s hands and then he looked at Avni.

Avni: You locked the door but you forgot to shut the window.

Avni smiled and Neil got her point. Avni looked at Neil’s lips who was looking at Avni. Avni held his shoulders and stood on her toes. Avni leaned to Neil who was looking at her. Neil looked at Avni’s lips. Avni moved to Neil and cupped Neil’s cheek. Avni kissed him. Neil felt a shiver in his body. Neil cupped Avni’s face and held Avni’s back with the second hand. Avni ruffled Neil’s hair and then Avneil looked at each other. They were panting. Avni cupped Neil’s face.
Avni: I am all yours, Neil.

Neil felt his heart skipped a beat.

Avni: You don’t need to ask me.

Neil was looking at her.

Avni: Make me yours. I am ready for our union.

Neil felt a joy and he pulled Avni into a bone crush hug. Neil hugged Avni tightly who smiled. Neil squeezed his eyes and Avni was smiling. Neil’s kissed Avni’s cheek.

Neil: I love you, Avni. I love you.

Avni: I love you too, Neil.

Neil smiled. Neil tightens the hug. Neil held Avni’s arms and broke the hug. They looked at each other. Neil cupped Avni’s face who blushed. Neil came to her level and looked at her. Avni hid her face in Neil’s chest. Neil smiled and hugged Avni. Neil held Avni’s arms and made her away. Neil cupped Avni’s face who looked at him. Avni saw Neil and saw desire and immense love in his eyes. Neil kissed Avni’s forehead who closed her eyes. Neil dragged his lips to Avni’s nose and kissed the tip of it. Neil kissed Avni’s eyes and then he caressed his cheek to Avni’s cheek and Avni was drowning in Neil’s love. Neil kissed Avni’s cheek and then he kissed Avni’s second cheek. Neil looked at Avni who opened her eyes and looked at Neil. Neil also saw desire and love in Avni’s eyes. Neil looked at Avni’s lips and got attracted. Neil leaned to Avni and kissed her lips. They looked at each other and were panting. Neil picked up Avni in a bridal style and took her to the bed. Neil made Avni sit there and he sat in front of her. Avni was looking down. Neil held Avni’s chin and lifted it.

Neil: Avni.

Avni was feeling shy.

Neil: Avni.

Avni moved away Neil’s hand and hid her face in her hands. Neil smiled and took away Avni’s hand. Avni’s heart was beating fast. Neil left Avni’s one hand and kissed her second hand while looking at Avni who was blushing. Neil started to remove her bangles. Neil kissed Avni’s wrist and arm. Neil removed Avni’s earrings while nuzzling and kissing her ear. Neil nuzzled Avni’s neck who held him and squeezed her eyes. Neil looked at Avni who also looked at him. Neil made Avni lay on the bed and they were looking into the eyes of each other. Neil covered them with the duvet and switched off the light. The two souls got united.

It was the time of the morning, the birds were enjoying the soft breeze of the morning. The sun was shining over the Khanna mansion and it tried to peek into Avneil’s room but the window and curtains didn’t let it to enter.

In Avneil’s room, Avni was sleeping in a white shirt. Neil was awake. Neil turned to Avni and kept his head on his arm. Neil was adoring his sleeping beauty. Neil lay with the support of his elbow and cupped Avni’s face.

Neil: My beauty queen.

Neil smiled and remembered their last night moments. Neil blushed. Avni stirred and Neil looked at her. Neil smiled. Avni opened her narrowed eyes and wiped them. Avni’s eyes fell on Neil and she frowned. Neil was smiling.

Avni: Neil?

Neil: Good morning, Wifey.

Neil kissed Avni’s forehead. Avni smiled and then Neil kissed Avni’s cheek. Avni looked at Neil.

Avni: Good morning.

Neil pointed at his cheek. Avni smiled at that and kissed his cheek. Neil smiled with closed eyes. They looked at each other.

Neil: Did you sleep well last night?

Avni made a face.

Avni: As if you let me sleep.

Neil smiled.

Neil: OK, let’s just change the question. Did you enjoy last night, Mrs Khanna?

Avni looked at Neil who raised his eyebrows. Avni blushed.

Neil: Do I consider it as yes?

Avni looked at Neil and encircled her arms around Neil’s neck. Avni blinked her eyes. Neil smiled. Avni pecked his lips and Neil smiled.

Neil: Seems like you have enjoyed that very much.

Avni was surprised. Avni hit his chest and Neil smiled.

Avni: Now move away and let me go to get fresh. I have to prepare breakfast also.

Neil kept his head on Avni’s shoulder and hugged her. Neil closed his eyes and Avni was surprised.

Neil: I want to sleep now.

Avni: Neil?

No reply. Neil made a snoring sound intentionally. Avni smiled and hugged him. Neil smiled with closed eyes.

Later, Avni was serving Neil breakfast. After serving him, Avni turned to sit on the chair but Neil held her hand and pulled her on his lap. Avni was shocked. Avni looked at Neil who was smiling.

Avni: Neil!

Neil was smiling.

Neil: Today, I want to have breakfast like this. You in my lap and feed me.

Avni shook her head and sat properly. Avni took the sandwich and fed Neil who smiled. Neil also fed Avni. They had breakfast while feeding each other.

Some months passed now Avneil were a happy married couple. One night, the moon was shining in the sky and the sound of rackets was heard clearly because of the silence. In the Khanna mansion, Avni was standing in the center of the room and was smiling. Neav was sleeping on the bed. Neil entered the room and he saw Avni. Avni also felt his presence and got excited.
