Anger - Our enemy

Anger is an emotion in every human. Whether they accept or not there is some amount of anger. Person should know the intensity of anger in self and try to control it. I am not saying that you should not have any anger, because it is not possible to have zero anger in any human. Sometime anger is necessary and one should not suppress it instead let it out. What is important is how we can control over anger. Anger is an enemy of human. It eats up human over longer period of time. Anger is a poison.

Anger is a secret weapon of human, sometimes its result’s in the destruction of many noble qualities. It snatches away the wisdom of man and thus he becomes a brute beast devoid of any sense. Anger is the root of all evils.

The meaning of anger is a rage fierce, displeasure, passion excited by a sense of wrong, physical pain, inflammation, mad, hot tempered, choleric, inflamed, violent passion excited by real or supposed injury. A person should be cautious from being angry.

Sometimes anger is good also. Anger is lawful in cases of religious affairs when its honors are at stake. It is an effective preventive measure to safeguard the dignity of man. A person who has no anger is called a coward because he has got no true faith in God. The person fears the creation and not the creator. This doesn't give the right for youngsters to become angry with parents when they don't get what they want. The real strength of a man lies in controlling his Anger.

Today people are becoming angry because of the lifestyle and the society we live in. When person is under stress he/she is tend to become angry. As human beings, we have our emotions. We react in either positive or negative emotions. Sometimes we may lose our logic and we cannot control our emotions. Hence, we behave in a strange way.  For those who lose control of their emotions and react negatively they have to be advised in advance what to do in such situation.

I have written about anger here and if anger is permissible or not. Anger is only permissible for good reason only. Anger effects everyone whether Young/old male or female. One should first know that he/she is angry only then person can have control over self. I rarely get angry because I have a control over myself. I also know when I am angry so the situation is totally under my control. Anger is far less socially acceptable feeling. As a result of this many people try to suppress their anger in public. Since all our emotions come from our perception, we can better understand anger by looking at the two main perspectives that lead to it.

·         Current Beliefs

The first perspective consists of our belief about what we consider to be “right”, “wrong” and how things” should” be. If things are right or how they should be then we feel that the situation is fair. However the situation is wrong we automatically feel that situation is unfair. This then causes us to anger.

·         Current Mood

The second perspective is related to our mood. If for example you put lot of time and energy to some work, but don’t feel that you got reward for that you are likely to feel tired and frustrated. Nothing you do seem to be working. This frustration may then because you think that what is happening is not right and not fair. As a result of this you start to feel angry.

There are 2 types of Anger

Destructive Anger

The trouble with anger is that because it is such a powerful emotional energy within the body, it can be very difficult to control. So most of the time anger we experience is destructive to ourselves and to those around us.

Constructive Anger

Although most people tend to associate anger with destructive consequences, it can be also used constructively. There are many organizations that have been created            as a result of anger at a perceived injustice.

I know when I am angry so I can control it easily and avoid many problems in life. It’s an emotion which is under my control. At times yes I become angry, but I know where to angry and when to stop. When I am angry I don’t speak a word initially, just try to control my anger till I can control. Constructive anger is always good, means it should not harm anybody by any means. If person can control anger he/she can avoid many problems in life. I always try to avoid situation where I feel there is a chance of being angry on anyone. I like debates on any topics but same should not turn in to anger and quarrel. It is very much essential to know when you are angry because when you are angry you are not in your own control sometime. It happens many times with us also that we don’t want to get angry but other people create such situation that we cannot control our selves. Here is the thin line which we need to understand, why we lose control over our self due to external environment, people, place? If we understand this simple thing then we can control ourselves in such situation and avoid many problems in life. You cannot change the environment outside you, so why not cope up yourself with the outer world. Why should any external element have control over our emotions? Why we allow it? Why?

Think twice before taking any action that whether what you are doing is actually require? What is the other alternate you can try to avoid such situation? I am not saying don’t be angry at all, but you should be very conscious when you are in such emotion. It a matter of seconds, yes seconds, when you become angry it gives you few seconds to react. At that time if you know the consequences of your anger you may avoid many problems which may arise if you become angry.

Let us not look back in Anger, or forward in fear, but around in awareness
