It was the first day of school in Konoha.

Students say that it's "Another year of hell." It's generic to say, but deep inside their soul...they wish and are thankful to have another year of school. Not because of the learning mathematics,  science, social studies and other school subjects but what's important to them are the values they've brought and memories they cherish along with their friends.

Some students say that they don't really hate the 'school',  they just dislike the learning part but hanging out with your friends and just living your life is what every high school student wants. One high school girl nearly had the perfect life, though a certain newbie cut the rope and broke the friendships she had owned and replaced her in return.

Haruno Sakura walked straight to Konohagakure High School, since it's the first day of school. Each step she take, her excitement would increase because it has been a long time since she last saw her friends. She continued to walk between Cherry blossom trees then into the halls of their huge school. Konohagakure High School is one wealthy and well-known school around the world.

Sakura shifted her gaze from left to right, friends hugging and people chatting everywhere as she walked to the section list. She can't help but smile to see the list in front of her. She can't believe what she was seeing. Is this a dream?

"I'm in the same homeroom with all my close friends? This is gonna be the best year of my life!"  Sakura mentally shouted with glee as her feet led her to the classroom though she didn't mind the other names on the section list as long as she knows that all of her friends' class. She spotted a girl with long, dark blue hair and has lavender eyes. Hyuga Hinata, the heiress of the Hyuga Company, also one of her closest friends.

"Hinata!" Sakura ran and embraced her like there was no tomorrow.

"Good morning, Sakura-chan!" Hinata's lips curved into a smile and hugged Sakura back.

"I have to say, your even cuter when your hair is long." Sakura patted the young Hyuga's head while she blushed.

Hyuga Hinata used to have short hair. Reason is, they heard a rumour that 'Uchiha Sasuke' likes girls with long hair, which is obviously a lie. Though all of his fangirls grew their hair longer. Hinata, who has a long hair, cut her hair into a short hair which symbolizes that she has another crush. She has a deep crush on Uzumaki Naruto, the class clown. She is the shy and quiet type of person and easily gets blushed and stutters, especially around Naruto. Despite the fact that she has a soft voice, she managed to tell her thoughts in a normal way. She's one of Sakura's closest friends and even though Hinata is shy and quiet, she's a really nice friend.

Hinata's POV

"Thank you, Sakura-chan. I never got tired from your pink hair, it looks cute on you." I complimented her.

Sakura grinned. "Thanks, Hinata! So, how's your summer?"

Haruno Sakura is the perfect girl that you can count on though she's hot-headed. She's always there for you, no matter what. She's also smart, athletic, kind, sweet, but also, she is easily tempered. Don't mess with her nor her friends or you'll get beaten up. If I have problems, I always come to her for help and ask for advice. She has natural short pink hair, emerald green eyes and a large forehead. Before, almost all of the students in our school teases her for having such a large forehead. Me, along with my friends, defended her. Soon, she became one of my closest friends and eventually, boys flirts with her or shall I say fanboys flirts with her, but she would always beat them up to the pulp or ignore them when she's lazy.

Third Person's POV

Sakura and Hinata chatted about school, summer and other stuff while waiting for the others. It has been a long time since their last meeting.

"Sakura? Hinata?" A familiar voice called from behind. "Hey guys! Long time no see!" Sakura and Hinata turned around and met a brunette's arms wrapped around them, or more like meeting a death machine choking them in specific.

"I-I can't b-breath!" Hinata managed to speak.

"A-Air!...I..n-need...AIR!" Sakura shouted, making the brunette let go.

Hinata and Sakura literally gasped for oxygen.

"Whoops, sorry. Guess I just missed my friends too much." She smiled while her eyes closed.

"You could have at least warned us, Tenten." Sakura remarked in a jokingly way as she sat down at her chair.

"Yeah, sorry about that..." She sheepishly scratched the back of her head with the slight regret.

Tenten. She has long dark brown hair that is tied up in two buns and dark-brown eyes. She''s also one of Sakura's closest friends. She has a 'secret' crush on Hyuga Neji even if her friends was already suspicious. She's the sporty type. Her favorite sport is football/soccer. She's the perfect person to laugh with. She isn't best at giving advices, instead she presents comfort and makes you laugh or smile as possible. Like Sakura, they don't like to go shopping. It's not like but hate it, but it's just that they hate it how they have to try on so many clothes.

"So Tenten, how's your trip at other countries?" Sakura asked while Tenten sat next to them and set aside her stuff.

"It was fun! But boredom has been killing me for days and..." Tenten shared her trip along with her parents. Sakura and Hinata also told what they did for the summer to kill time waiting for their other friends. The three girls would laugh due to their topics as their conversation continues until girls' screaming was heard from the outside of the classroom. "Guess, they're here." Sakura told Hinata and Tenten as their eyes shifted to the door. A hint of pink appeared at Hinata's cheeks before glancing at the door.

The door opened and Sakura's guess was right, they walked in the classroom.

"Will you please go to back your respective classrooms now?" The guy with blonde, spiky hair asked as sincerely as possible with his most gentle smile even if it's forced.

"NO WAY AM I LEAVING YOU NARUTO-KUN!"

"I WILL NEVER LEAVE SASUKE-KUN!"

"KIBA-KUN I LOVE YOU!!!"

"NEJI-KUN GO OUT WITH MEE!!!"

"I'LL ALWAYS STAY BY YOUR SIDE!!"

"NEVEEER!!!"

Raging fangirls screamed and screamed like it was the end of the world. The four guys were now pushing to the door, so that the girls or fangirls would not go in their classroom and would stay away from them. The four of them are 'heart throbs', in Konohagakure High School, considering that everyday the fangirls would disturb them without any hesitation. Not only them, but also one of the sand siblings, Sabaku Gaara and other seniors that aren't in their batch.

The fangirls' noise got even louder until Sakura finally lost her temper. She was about to shout at them, but a guy with long jet black hair tied in a spiky ponytail beat her to it.

"Troublesome women. Why don't you do them a favor and get the hell out of here?!" He spat.

Sakura recognized his face. "Shikamaru..?" She said with as she tilt her head slightly. It was quite sometime now that Shikamaru had spat. He's usually bored and wouldn't mind other people's business not unless it affected him. Considering that it's the first day of school, maybe the Shikamaru's inner had activated.

Nara Shikamaru has long jet black hair tied in a spiky ponytail and narrow eyes. He's one of Sakura's friends. Also, the laziest and smartest guy in school! Even though he doesn't listen to class, he still gets perfect scores or a few mistakes. He excels in making strategies and choosing the best solution to a problem. In addition, he has the highest IQ in their batch. People say that he's mentally gifted, born to be a tactician or some even say that he just uses his brain wisely.

The fangirls glared at him, rolled their eyes before flipping their hair and left.

"It's been a long time since I heard you shouted." Sakura looked to Shikamaru with amusement.

"Such a drag." Shikamaru sighed and continued his comfortable sleep.

The four boys that got annoyed by the fangirls sat behind them.

"Hey Kiba, Naruto, Neji, Sasuke!" Sakura greeted with her cheerful smile.

The guy with blonde, spiky hair and light blue eyes was the first to reply. "Hey Sakura-chan, Tenten and Hinata!"

Tenten just gave him a grin back and a nod.

"H-Hi N-Naruto-kun." Hinata's heart started to beat fast as the color of her cheeks began to flush into the color red but managed to reply and look sideways so that Naruto wouldn't see her blush.

Uzumaki Naruto has blond, spiky hair and light blue eyes. He also has whisker marks on his cheeks, for some reason. He's also one of Sakura's closest friends. He and Sakura are 'partners-in-crime.' They get along well but only for a brother-sister relationship. He's dumb. Proof, everyone knows that the Hyuga heiress has been crushing on him for as long as they know, except him. He's too dumb which is somewhat an advantage to Hinata though, He's also known as the class clown. His best friend is Uchiha Sasuke, even though they might not look like best friends, but they got each other's back. Naruto's the stupid, but cheerful type. He has the power to change a villain into a good person. He always smiles and cheer everyone up, except for the people who annoys him or the people who he doesn't like. Everyone admires him for his attitude.

"Hello." Neji was the second to respond but he gave a genuine smile as he sat next to Tenten.

Hyuga Neji, long dark-brown hair and lavander eyes, like Hinata's eyes. Hinata and Neji are cousins, even though a lot of people mistaken them for being siblings. Neji is older than Hinata, he was put in the same batch as Hinata due to their his clan's duties. Neji lived with her family since his father and mother died. He's the smart and quite type. His best friend is Tenten but everyone considers them as a couple. He also was dismissive and sometimes cold-hearted, much as alike to Sasuke. Being quite similar, they somehow understood each other in particular ways though he considered Sasuke as his rival in terms of studies but also a close friend. Neji is one of Sakura's friends but their bond is not that close.

"Hey." Sasuke said while taking his seat. He may be silent but he still talks often to his closest friends.

Uchiha Sasuke has irresistible onyx eyes and raven hair that looks like a chicken's butt, although it looks hot on him. He's the #1 heart throb in Konohagakure, considering that he has the most fangirls in their school. He is smart, talented but he's cold unless you are important to him. No wonder girls fall for him! He's also one of Sakura's closest friends and he was Sakura's crush since they were little. Sakura was a fangirl. She was caught by his looks and skills until she turned 13 years old. He and his friends defended Sakura while the other students teased her for having a large forehead, but is it her fault that she was born with such a large forehead? Anyways, after that incident. She asked herself, why do I like Sasuke? Is it only because of his looks? Infatuation? After asking herself so many questions and battling with her sub-consciousness, She has decided that she should treat him fair. Treat him like a friend, not like boots or clothes that every girl wants. Time passes and they became friends, but not only him, she also made new friends and she's thankful for that. Sasuke's closest friends are, Naruto, Kiba, Neji and Shikamaru. For girls, he counts Tenten, Ino and Hinata only as a friend since he's not close with girls but he gets along with the three of them. If the one he's been close to a girl to, it would be Sakura. They would talk from time to time and would enjoy their conversations, they understood each other in some ways but they never had any alone time together so only Sakura is the girl that Sasuke considers a closest friend though no one knows.

"Yo, what's up Sakura?" He took a seat beside Sasuke and Sakura.

Inuzuka Kiba. He has messy brown hair and sharp, black eyes. Personally, Sakura thinks he looks cute. He also has fangirls, but less than Gaara's and more than Naruto's. He's dumb yet a funny person. He's one of Sakura's closest friends or more like a brother. He's Sakura's guy best friend. Most of the time, when he sees Sakura alone, he would tease her, but not for having a large forehead. Instead, he would  tend to taunt Sakura about Sasuke. She would often just blush while having an urge to punch him in the face and he would crack up. Too bad he doesn't have any girl in mind, he said that his inspiration is his friends and family which is one of the reasons why Sakura likes him (as a friend/brother) She respects him. His another best friend is no other than Akamaru, his pet dog. They would always be with each other except during school.

Naruto and Hinata were talking to each other. Well, mostly Naruto talking about his Ramen adventure and Hinata was just nodding and smiling, don't forget blushing too. Sasuke, Kiba and Sakura chatted about their summer. Tenten and Neji were having their own world, talking about random stuff. Best friends, really. Minutes passed by and the classroom was full of people.

The sand siblings were also there, Sabaku Temari, Gaara and Kankuro. Fortunately for Temari and Gaara, their fangirls/fanboys didn't come to them yet.

Temari is the oldest while Gaara is the youngest. They were put on the same grade level because of some matters with Sunagakure and Konohagakure alliance since out of the three of them, one is bound to be the Kazekage.

Temari has blonde hair tied up in four ponytails and dark-green eyes. She has the same attitude as Tenten, but she's more girly.

Kankuro has brown hair and black eyes. He's addicted to puppets.

Gaara has spiky red hair, blue green eyes and has no eyebrows, but he's good-looking. Gaara is the serious and quiet type. Gaara is sometimes cold-hearted and he is usually silent. Gaara also has fangirls less than Sasuke's, but more than Kiba's.

The 'heart throbs' in Konohagakure High are Sasuke Uchiha, Gaara Sabaku, Neji Hyuga, Kiba Inuzuka, Naruto Uzumaki, Sakura Haruno, Ino Yamanaka, Tenten, Hinata Hyuga, Temari Sabaku and others that are in the senior batch. However, most famous is Sasuke for the boys and Ino for the girls. Unfortunately for them, Konohagakure High School is a popular school around the world so it is possible that they have international fans even though they are just high school students.

Minutes passed and everyone came except for Sakura's best friend and the homeroom teacher. "What's taking her so long?" Sakura mentally asked herself as she glanced at the door. Suddenly, the door slammed and she saw her best friend, looking as gorgeous as ever.

"Hey Ino, Welcome to hell." Sakura folded her arms with a wink followed by a smile.

"You never change, still the same old silly Sakura." She made her way beside her and grinned back. "What a nice way to greet your best friend on the first day of school."

Yamanaka Ino, Sakura's best friend. She has long, blonde hair which is tied up in a high-ponytail with bangs covering the rights side of her face and she has blue eyes. She's the first one who defended Sakura from the bullies. She's very pretty and she knows very well how to show it. Her life is all about fashion, friends, love life and her looks. She also has a good personality but sometimes, she goes overboard. As the same for Sakura, she also has fanboys and she doesn't care about them. Before, she was also a fangirl of Uchiha Sasuke until she gave up since she didn't feel any heart beats and butterflies and sets her eyes on a new boy which she felt comfortable with..

They waited and waited. It's only 1 hour left dismissal and their teacher hasn't come yet. They've been waiting for 3 hours since it's only a half day.

The door opened. 

"Ohayo! Sorry I'm late, I was needed at the principal's office and-" The man with spiky gray hair paused when he saw that his students doesn't really care. "Anyways, I'm your new sensei, Hatake Kakashi. I'm your homeroom and english teacher. We will be having a new student. She will be starting school tomorrow. You will introduce yourselves tomorrow, consider yourselves lucky. Today I will be handing you your schedules."

Their sensei handed their schedules as they scanned and asked their friends if they had the same.

In short, Sakura has the same schedules with Gaara, and some with the others.

Hinata, Kankuro, Kiba and Naruto have the same schedules.

Neji, Tenten, Sasuke and Shikamaru and Ino have the same schedules 

Sakura personally hates her schedule. She has the exact same classes with Gaara! Heck they aren't even close! Plus she only has a few subjects with the others! 

"The new student has the same schedule as Ino Yamanaka. Whoever Ino Yamanaka is will you show the new student around?" Kakashi-sensei asked, politely.

"Of course, Kaka-sensei!" Ino raised her hand so that Kakashi will recognize her as she give her kindest smile.

"Good. Now, will be your free time. I know that all of you are old students and you won't even listen if I explain you the rules and regulations, am I right?" He examined all of his new set of students, all of them nodded.

"If that's the case then I won't be informing you about the rules and regulations since you already know them and you have your hand books so there's no point in explaining. Also, count this to test your knowledge on how your mind can remember. So, you can do anything you want as long as you're quiet." He took out a book and began reading it. The book is entitled 'Icha Icha Paradise' that book is for perverts!

Hatake Kakashi. He has spiky gray hair and black eyes. He's also wearing a mask that cover his mouth and the edge of his nose for some odd reason and he's reading a book for perverts or green-minded people. That's all the information needed for now.

Sakura's POV

The whole day was fun! I didn't saw Lee, I guess he's absent? Eh, Who cares. I just hope that all the days will be like today. It's like my life is perfect! I wish it's always like this, but who knows what will happen next? I just hope it will be good.

This isn't actually the first chapter, it's basically meeting of the characters only. The real story begins on the next chap. I know Shikamaru was kind of out of character, but I just want him to shout xD Sorry if by any means, it's cliche, since I have a hard time thinking about the first meeting though I hope you enjoyed! I'll do my best on the upcoming chaps, I promise
