Please tell us about yourself.
Well, my name is Lilly, but I go by Wynter and Fuyu online. I have this weird obsession with snow and ice, so a lot of my OCs, usernames, or stories have stuff to do with the winter season or coldness in general. I love reading and writing and I'm learning Japanese, though I'm pretty bad at it right now😅
Oh wow! That sounds amazing to be honest.
So, how did you get interested in this community?
At first, I was just looking for a way to promote my stories, which I work on with my co-author, ChadTaylor115. I found the interview book and thought "huh, might be a good way to have at least my account promoted". I and my co-author did an interview and then I wanted to interview people too, but I had no idea how to start doing that. Then lo and behold, an announcement from the community account stated you guys were hiring interviewers and bam! I immediately filled out the application form. The GA role was a second option because I happen to like doing graphics as well, so more opportunities, plus, I get to help others just like me🙂
Whoa, now that's a story! So you had more than one role here; are interviewer and GA all, or you have more hidden talents? And which was you favourite role?
So for the community, I was solely an interviewer and GA, since that's all I'm really good at when it comes to the community work. A hidden talent outside of Wattpad and the community is my singing. I love to sing, granted, I'm definitely not the best at all. And I'll have to say my absolute favorite role was just being a member of the community. It got a little crazy sometimes, but everyone was really welcoming and funny when we interacted together. I definitely felt included as a member of the community, so it's my favorite.
Awww Well, didn't know we had a multitalented gem! And as we are on that topic, how is it being both, a writer and a community member at the same time?
It was a bit hectic sometimes, but I somehow found the time to do both. (I think I miss the community ;w;) I managed to balance school, writing, and the community work luckily, which if I didn't have a computer, I probably couldn't have done. I mostly write and communicated at night, and did GA and interviews during the day between classes.
Aw, we miss you too. And guess, calling multitalented wasn't wrong at all!
So, would you like to tell us about your life outside Wattpad, your school life, the reason you had to stop working as a Wormer?
So I'm currently a high school senior, which means I'm graduating in June. I am not doing the best in my classes, I will admit, so unfortunately, I had to leave the community to focus more on school and my impending graduation. I don't like having to go on Hiatus, mainly because I went on two in a row and it leaves you guys with a member who isn't doing work for a long time, so leaving the community seemed like the best option for everybody, which I regret a bit now, because I miss everyone!
My favorite school subject is JROTC (junior reserve officer training corps) or "military based program for high school teens". Most don't count it as a subject though. I despise English Literature because I have to write too many essays and not enough creative works.
Ohh, we wish you All the very best for your exams and graduation. We hope we will see you soon in future again as a Wormer.
Oh, I'm definitely going to be returning at some point lol
Well, moving on to next question, what are the benefits of working in a community, in your opinion?
Hmm... I'm gonna say the overall sense of belonging, as well as the motivation that comes with it. Being in the community gave me a sense of appreciation and belonging, both as a regular human being and a colleague to everyone. It also provided me with constant reminders to get work done, as well as a real reason to finish it. A lot of the time, I have a hard time trying to get work done, so I'm constantly being pushed to finish. With the community, it was a reminder that "hey, so-and-so needs this or that done by this day, get it done!!" So I finished all the work I was assigned. If only I did that with my classwork😅
I can relate to that so much!!
So, in your experience, who was the hardest to work with?
Hmm... Honestly? No one! With everyone that I worked with, it was very easy to get along with them. I don't think I had any sort of issues with anyone in the community.
😄
Well, who do you think is the most helpful?
You, I think. I think my graphics got a bit better when I did those stickers with you, and you are very understanding. You like to remind people of jobs and such, so that was a definite help!
Aww, that's really sweet of you... well then, do you have any comment for our Head?😊🙂
Indeed I do. Fall, you're an amazing Head of Community. It might get stressful for you, but you're doing an awesome job. Keep up the good work. Don't forget to keep joking, too. I enjoyed working under you and the other admins and you're a very caring person. On that note, don't forget to take care of yourself too! 💜
Can't agree more😀
Moving to next question, how do you like to get your work done? I mean, do your like to, may be, have some snacks, or listen to music, or anything else while doing it
Depending on the time or what I'm working on, I have different things I do. The one thing I like about my Literature class is my teacher plays music, generally Lord of the Rings music, which gets my writing inspiration going. I'll typically sneak into the kitchen to grab a few snacks throughout the day and I always have Discord open so I can chat with friends when taking a break. I'll also open Spotify or hop into a VC channel to listen to music, often times soundtracks for my favorite animes or movies. I'm a very musical person, you could say.
Oohh, that's interesting...
Is there anything, any piece of advice/lesson you got to learn while working as a wormer?
Always have a computer nearby. Or a device with the apps you need. I had to put off one or two things until I could get access to a computer. Luckily, they weren't projects that needed to be done that day or the next day, so I still had plenty of time to do them, but it's definitely better to just have the device either way. Oh, and I learned I need to use PicsArt more. Especially the web version. I still barely know my way around the home page😅
Does your family know about your Wattpad life, will they know about your achievement as the Best Member of the month?
I actually keep my Wattpad life to myself when it comes to family. I don't really want them to see or read my works, mostly because they wouldn't understand how half the stories work and I don't think they really appreciate my abilities. It's unlikely anyone besides one sister (I have two) will know about the achievement, but my best friends for sure will. And my dog. I mean, pets are family, too, am I right?
Talk about it... and of course they are.
Do you have any role model in your life; if so, who is it?
Oh, geez. I have several. My main two are my Lieutenant, LT Cecil, who is my instructor for ROTC; and my older brother, Matt, or Morrell_Fic_Alliance. Both have taught me how to be better at something I love. LT for leadership and being a mentor, and Matt for being a better storyteller and sister. LT is also kind of like a dad figure too, which I haven't had one before him.
That was really heart warming....
Earlier you said that singing is your hobby, and also source of motivation. So, what is your favourite song, or who is your favourite singer?
Hmm... Well, I have a wide range of tastes and my religion, Christianity, affects it. I actually don't have a favorite artist, because I like a lot of different ones, but right now, my favorite Christian song is "Start Right Here". I forgot who it's by. My favorite non-Christian song is "Fly me to the Moon" by Frank Sinatra. It's a very pretty and catchy song and as such, I can't stop singing it! I also like "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing", another song whose artist I forgot. Oh, and Stealing Sheep is a good band. Ahhhhh, I can't choose!
Hmm, that's cool!
Okay, So, what is your guilty pleasure?
Reading the Twilight series and Harry Potter. And watching Anime. Most people dislike the Twilight series, and I think I can see why, but I'm a major sucker for romance, action, and hot vampires, so resisting the series was eventually impossible. Harry Potter is disliked by my mom due to witchcraft versus religious beliefs, but in my opinion, it's just a story and Disney has the same amount, if not more magic than that. Anime because my mom hates it and I love spoiling it for my sisters, though it back fired real bad once. Whatever you do, don't introduce your siblings to your favorite shows, Wattpadders! Lol
I love Harry Potter too!
Is there anything about yourself that you can't wait improve in this year?
My grades for sure and maybe my argumentative side. Once or twice (okay, a lot), I've found myself having useless arguments with random weirdos in a friend's server. I think I really need to learn when I can win an argument and when it's appropriate to start one, else I'll end up in a back and forth debate about politics that gets so heated to the point where I'm stressed out too much.
Well, we have reached towards the end of this interview. Time goes by so fast! Would you like to suggest anything for the betterment of the community?
Hmmm.... Inactive members: BE MORE ACTIVE!!! You're stressing the poor Admin team and Fall out because they have to either force you to be active with more rules or they have to kick you from the community, which they don't like doing. Even if you're on Hiatus, it's not too hard to log onto Discord or even Wattpad if necessary to check in to say hi. Active members: do whatever you can to make it easier on the whole community, even if it's just being more active.I think the general community is doing well, especially for being fairly new. Some individuals just need to be more active or assist more. And as always, have fun.
I think that was really.... perfect! haha
Who do you think also has the potential to be the best member next month, except those already have been once?
Hmmm.... It's hard to say, but I think RovenaNatasha? I think she's the acting Admin, right? I don't know if she's gotten it already, I have to re-read the interview book again, but she's really stepped up to assist Fall and the rest of the team in Sundus' absence.
That's so true! Well, Thank you so much for giving us your precious time, and for being such an amazing Wormer. Now, it is time to end this interview, hope you have a good night ahead.
Thank you! And it was an honor to do the interview and be the Best Member.🙂 I'm looking forward to rejoining the community in the future Have a good rest of your day.
Thank You, WynterWolf2003
