Somethings, Different? (Chapter 1)

To the onlooker, the most significant known city of Atlantide seemed just like any other typical day, if there was a normal day, people roamed the streets, kids pursued each other with such enthusiasm to lighten anyone's day. Many bakeries gave off a pleasing fragrance of recently baked bread and sweet pastries.

In spite of this, it wasn't normal. Well, not as normal as it regularly is. But only a few people noticed this fact.

A male marched down a hall, his blue hair steady gliding to the beat of his walking. Seeming to bounce along his headband. The man was otherwise known as Ritchie, one of Divinus Magica's guild leaders. His brow furrowed in thought, a question nagging rapidly at his brain. Which could surely make his fellow guild leader cringe without a doubt.

"Oi, Brother?". Ritchie smashed into the room without knocking, Brandon chocked in a sigh, a sigh that held some amusement. Already suspecting his twin brother was gonna question him about a sudden assumption that came to his mind. "Let me guess. You also feel that odd presence in the air?" Brandon acknowledged.

"Yes.." Richie returned, plopping himself down on the chair next to his twin. "Doesn't it seem familiar...?" Richie claimed, " Its almost like..-".

"Like the portal back on Selode..?" Brandon interrupted, catching onto Ritchie's train of thought. The twins were known for that, and they pretty much conveyed the mystery if twins had a special connection that enabled them to read each other's minds.

"EXACTLY!" Richie boomed. Jumping out of his seat, banging his hands on the table in enthusiasm. And threw himself back into the chair, almost knocking it over at the sudden pressure, " But why..? Did it appear again to take us back..? or.. ". Richie looked up at Brandon, a glow of desire in his eyes for Brandon to have a counterclaim. That involved him and his brother not be taken back to their homeworld. Of course, the twins miss Selode. But he can't imagine leaving those he came to know, Atlantide, and his guild members. The relationships that took years to build. And all of the adventures, it would break his heart into more than just shattered pieces if they were brought back to Selode just like this. Regarding the fact their friends will need them here, to fight with them against any threat that may arise.

Brandon proposed another idea, " Or perhaps other people got sent to this world?".

Ritchie's head perked up, "What if they are from Selode as well..?". Curiosity filling his eyes. Brandon could already sense the urge of nosiness emitting from his brother. and held in a soft chuckle.

"Yes, we can go check it out, but lets first check with Micheal and Bri if they have noticed this as well.".

Richie nodded eagerly, jumping off his chair and over the counter, heading straight for the door.

He wanted to get to the bottom of this sudden occurrence. It's not every day that a new wave of magic from another world may hit atlantide.

Guess they got another situation other than the rifts.

Grabbing the last bottle of wine, Silver walked over to the tables, setting the glass down on the only section of the table that appeared to be sturdy — hugging Fred close to his chest. Reluctantly he set fred on the table in front of him, of course, whipping off the pile of dust that collected there during underuse.

Yawning, all he proceeded to do was brush Fred with his only hairbrush. Well, Fred does require to be kept in tip-top shape. Just don't overthink about it.

The distant noise of sewer water kept on rushing past the base — feeding on the negative vibe that vibrated off his home.

Empty was what Silver had grown accustomed to. Sometimes he wished his emotions could sometimes do the same.

Silver sighed and pulled Fred close, feeling the sense of longing flood through him.

Although he felt lonely, it was relieving to be alone with Fred for once.

"Yo! Silver", The loud voice of Richie boomed through the entrance. Using his magic to teleport right in front of him. The electric sparks jumped at all sides that usually occurred when the fellow Guild leader used this time of magic sparked in his face. Though there was a brighter glimmer to them, and when seeing A sort of curious and hyped flash in his friend's eyes, it answered his mental confusion.

Guess his free-time was gone.

Micheal and Brandon trailed in behind him, Micheal was cringing at his muddy flip-flops from walking through the water of the sewers. And Brandon had his signature nonchalant expression.

Silvers expression soured, "And why are you guys interrupting me and Fred's relax time..?".

Brandon shrugged. Sitting to the chair left to him, of course, not choosing to explain the surprise visit.

Micheal gazed at him for a long moment, eyeing Fred, "I'm not even gonna question it.."

Ritchie examined the crumbling guildhall, hands fiddling with the rim of a chair back in front of him. "Where's Bri..?".

"Oh, she's getting something back at her house. Forgot something, I guess." Silver replied — Fidling with one of Fred's fluffy arms.

Richie groaned, resting his hand on his palm as he stared at the ceiling.

"You didn't answer my question..", Silver stated. Feeling uncertain by Richie's sudden, more playful nature, all he wanted to do was to hang out with Fred for ONE day. But nope. He was always interrupted by someone or something. Is this the life of a Guild Leader..?

There was a voice in the back of his head that announced, Say thanks to Micheal for that! He cringed at the statement of his conscience. He just didn't want to deal with anything supernatural today..

Micheal broke the silence to clarify, " Brandon and Richie wanted to check in about a magical presence they'd noticed. And wanted to know if you also noticed this.".

He leaned forward in interest, "You mean that extra wave of magic aura that's been messing up my teleportation spells..?".

Micheal nodded. Though for some reason, Ritchie's magic turned out to work. But that didn't come up in the conversation as it continued.

"The magic seems close to what the portal that brought us from Selode to here emitted." Brandon chimed in, pointing out a crucial detail.

"Then, is it a portal to Selode?" Silver questioned, and the only answer Brandon have was a shrug with the shoulders.

Although Richie blurted in, the unusual gleam growing in his eyes. " Maybe we could investigate?".

Micheal looked down at the table in thought. And Brandon just fiddled with his poncho.

" Sure, what do we have to lose?", Silver announced, "But where should we look though..".

"The closest and strongest magical current.". Brandon Retorted with his typical amount of casual sass. That wasn't really needed for the conversation.

Richie grabbed the wine bottle from Silver's grasp and plopped it on the counter out of his reach. "What are we waiting for? Let's investigate now!".

"Hey!" Silver pouted, trying to reach for the wine bottle and looked dramatically hurt when Richie tossed it in the garbage can to disable his attempts.

Micheal grimaced at the change of scenery, feeling grass tickle his legs.

Something that wasn't there in the vast library he once was in.

"Where are we.. were not in the cave of Erebus..?", a ginger-haired male puzzled. He was touching his hand against an oak tree ahead of him, examining if it's fake or not. When sap got attached to his side, proved, the tree must be real. But now he had to deal with a sticky hand.

"You are correct, sherlock. We are not in the cave of Erebus. It wouldn't have this much... Nature," he remarked. The library didn't have any trees. That's for sure a thing he noticed.

"Or it's trying to--"

Micheal interrupted, " Don't finish that sentence, definitely is false.". He turned to face to meet the individual's stubborn blue eyes ahead of him.

"Lets first explore, we may of just been.. teleported for some odd reason." Micheal started walking ahead.

Richie murmured in delight, but there was a soft sigh of relief afterward. Micheal knew precisely why. With his earlier speech to his friend, and the fact he was literally about to die in the place he cheated death in. He wouldn't hear the end of it later. Poor Austin doesn't even know what they were planning to do.

Austin.. Oh god, he's going to kill them for going in the cave of Erebus. Bri, of course, will aid him.

Background Info:

This is my first ever fanfic.. so, don't know if it's good? I just have the overwhelming urge to write something. And a mix of Supernatural origins, Fairy tale origins, and Origins of Olympus. Maybe more.. But this would be easier. I hope you liked it! And hope you don't mind the spelling errors... (May go back and fix any mistakes in the future)
