Silena
I walked around the camp until I came across the sword fighting arena. It seemed like a great way to relieve anger and sadness all in one! Buy yours now! I pulled out my sword, that my dad had given me, Riptide. I went over to a couple dummies and just slashed until someone put a hand on my shoulder.
"Fight me?" Chris asked. I sighed. I really didn't feel like nearly killing somebody right now.
"Fine." I agreed. Chris needed a lot of training before we went on our quest, and if he didn't, we'd all die.
Sounds like a great time, right?
Chris grabbed a spear from the table and walked in the middle of the ring, with me there. He grinned, and I rolled my eyes. I was a pretty good sword fighter, and nobody could beat me yet.
I slashed at Chris's throat, and he got so scared that I was able to get a few scrapes on his arm, causing him to drop his spear. I turned away, but a man stopped me.
"Your strength is good, but you keep favoring your right side." An unfamiliar voice said.
"Who are you?" I demanded.
"Luke Castellan." He said, chuckling.
"Well, Luke, I'll have you know I'm a goddess, and my strategy is strong enough for me. "
"Who's your parents?" He asked, steering away from fighting.
"Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase. I'm from the future." I said.
His face went pale.
"Take me to your mom. Now." He ordered, and I walked, him on my heels.
"Mom!" I called. She ran towards me.
"I have someone for you." I said, smiling, and Luke stepped out into eyesight. I half expected Mom to cry, or do something, but she just stood there.
"You. Have. No. Right." She said. I cleared my throat.
" I'll just go get dad." I said awkwardly, and ran off to find him. He was by the lake, and I grabbed his shoulder
"Dad! Luke's here, and I think you should get to mom." I said.
He looked up, his eyes hollow. He nodded, and started to run the direction I came. I sat down at his spot, and Aiden came jogging up to me.
"Hiya!" He said cheerfully.
"What, Aiden?" I asked. His annoying tone didn't change.
"Well, I'm happy because I get to see my mom and dad, and you should be too. I mean, the warehouse thing-" he began.
I cut him off. "Yeah, I'm pretty happy. I just don't think they're happy to see me." I replied.
Aiden looked out at the water.
"Sooner or later, it's going to come up again." He whispered, and walked off, leaving scorch marks on the grass.
I closed my eyes, and saw that horrible day again.
FLASHBACK.
The warehouse is dark, and huge. It looks abandoned, but it's not. There's something lurking in the shadows, I just didn't know it yet. I was on a rescue mission, to find one of the youngest demigods yet. She was five, and her name was Aria, and was the most scared I'd ever seen a person be before. She squeezes me hand and whispers,
"I'm scared." I gave her a reassuring smile told her to wait outside.
"I'll meet you out there." I whispered, and she ran out.
I started to sweep the area for any threats. I was halfway through when the giant came.
"I am Enchildras! Bow before me!" He yelled. I stood up next to the wall, draining myself of energy to try to pass him out. I gave a simulation of him dying. I assumed it worked, because he slowly started to rock back and forth, ready to fall.
But Aria burst in the door, tears streaming her face.
"Silena!" She screamed, and the giant fell on her, killing her almost instantly.
"Aria!" I tried to move the giant, I really did, but it wouldn't make a difference.
The others came, and had to drag me out of there, still screaming her name.
END OF FLASHBACK
I opened my eyes, breathing rapidly. Black spots blurred my vision. My cheeks were wet, and I assumed I was crying. Making sure nobody saw me, I dove underwater, trying to hide.
My sobs were an echo in the ocean.
I thought I was alone until someone hugged me.
I didn't know who it was at first, but then I realized it was my father.
"Dad.."
He shushed me.
"You don't have to talk about it, okay? I know you don't want to taint the future." He said. I nodded, and he swam away, leaving me to be alone again.
Eventually, I resurfaced, but not until it was nightfall and the harpies were threatening me to get back in my cabin or else.
