chapter 15 - They All Asked For You
Outfits in the external link
From 2.14 "I Love You, Forever", in the ballroom of the compound, Jackson and Mikayla stood behind everyone. They took each other's hands, looking at them, smiling, walking down the aisle together.
Noah: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (The Originals)"
Jackson and Mikayla joined Mary up on the altar.
"We gather together with the Unification of the two Crescent bloodlines," Mary told them.
Jackson looked at Mikayla for a moment, putting a hand on either of her cheeks, kissing her for a long moment. Mikayla placed a hand on his clavicle, deepening the kiss passionately. When they pulled away, their eyes were glowing gold, indicating that the Unification Ceremony had worked. They smiled happily, turning to look at the crowd.
The guests all looked at each other curiously.
Aiden's eyes were glowing gold.
Every wolf in the crowd had glowing gold eyes.
Mary: (voice over from 2.14 I Love You, Forever) "Mikayla will share her unique gifts with her pack."
From 2.14 "I Love You, Forever", on the outside balcony of the compound, Kassandra and Klaus were talking.
"I'll let Jackson have Mikayla," Klaus told her. "His reign will be short-lived."
From 2.14 "I Love You, Forever", in the courtyard, Klaus and Hayley stood together with Hope, facing the crowd of wedding guests.
Klaus smiled. "Mikayla, I invite you and your husband to live here. Welcome to the family, Jackson."
From 2.14 "I Love You, Forever", in Elijah's study, Hayley and Elijah were talking.
"With the wolves unified, Hope is safe," Elijah told her. "And, in the interest of maintaining the peace, I have decided to join the vampires in Algiers."
From 2.12 "Sanctuary", outside the Fauline Cottage, Freya and Rebekah were talking.
"You know who I am," Freya told her.
"Freya," Rebekah told her.
"Tell our brothers and sister I'll be coming to see them soon," Freya told her.
From 2.13 "The Devil Is Damned", in the living room of the Mikaelson Safe House, Elijah stood, turning to face Vincent/Finn. "Gas has pervaded every single room in this home." He took off his daylight ring, holding it in one hand, holding his other hand into the sunlight. "Goodbye, brother."
Elijah let his hand burn and burst into flames, igniting the gas in the air.
From 2.14 "I Love You, Forever", in the morgue, Freya cast her spell over Vincent/Finn.
Vincent/Finn awakened from the dead with a gasp, though his burns were not fully healed.
From 2.10 "Gonna Set Your Flag On Fire", in Auria's Apartment, Marcel and Auria were talking.
Auria took a deep breath, knowing that he wasn't going to like this. "I wanna try to make peace with the witches. If I do this right, we can have peace on all sides. Do you want this city to be at war until we're all dead?"
From 2.14 "I Love You, Forever", in Kol's Playhouse, Klaus, Kassandra, Elijah and Rebekah were kneeling next to Kaleb/Kol, surrounded by candles.
Davina and Caitlin were kneeling on the other side of him.
Caitlin was holding Davina comfortingly while her best friend cried in her arms.
Auria was sitting a few feet away from them, whispering a spell over a necklace, gripping it in her hands.
Rebekah started to cry. "I will not leave this body until I find a way to bring you home."
Kaleb/Kol managed one last laugh before he died in Kassandra's arms.
Kassandra started to cry silently in devastation, not making a sound.
Davina broke down into sobs.
Auria and Caitlin embraced Davina from either side, holding her.
Elijah and Klaus started to cry silently, not making a sound.

Day One
Morning - Treme Street Market
(Song:) Shallow Water - Treme Brass Band
Rebekah, still in her witch vessel, was wandering around a street bazaar full of witches selling various wares as she talked to her brothers and sister via a three-way phone call. "Enough already with the family squabbling. Come on, Nik. Even you can see how the situation has become awkward."
Klaus and Kassandra were in the courtyard of the abattoir compound, standing on the balcony, watching the wolves spar in the courtyard below.
Kassandra had her phone on speaker.
"There's nothing awkward about it," Klaus told them. "Hayley and Hope belong in the compound where they're safe, along with Mikayla and Jackson, who are both prominent members of this family now. As much as I'd like Elijah's help to kill Finn, if his claustrophobia are getting in the way of him living with his family, then he's welcome to continue sulking across the river."
Elijah was looking through his closet in an apartment for his suit to wear for the day. "As I have explained repeatedly, my presence here in Algiers is purely to assemble allies. Given all the enemies we have in he form of wayward siblings and ancient maniacal Aunt Dahlia, I would think you'd applaud my efforts."
"If it's my applause you seek, you shouldn't have dashed off in a huff," Klaus told him.
"All right, can you two try and stay focused on what's best for Hope's safety?" Kassandra asked.
"I'd like nothing more," Elijah told them.
"I'm doing exactly that," Klaus told them.
Kassandra sighed, rolling her eyes.
"See?" Rebekah asked. "We're on the same team. Conflicted resolved, crisis averted. Kassandra, make sure they aren't the death of each other, will you?"
"That's quite a chore itself, sister," Kassandra told her. "But I will do my best." She hung up, turning to Klaus. "Which is more than you can say yourself."
Klaus smirked in amusement.
Rebekah hung up.
(Song Ends)
A couple feet away, there was a male witch with a scruffy beard who frowned as he watched at her.
Rebekah was unaware of him, looking at items at the booth in front of her. After a moment, she noticed the man continue to scowl and stare at her, and, realizing someone might have recognized her host body, started to walk in the opposite direction. She turned around a corner and bumped into another man, looking at him in annoyance. "Excuse you, too."
The man turned to face her, glaring at Rebekah angrily.
Rebekah was worriedly, turning around, walking away, running into yet another male witch who seemed to recognize her.
Suddenly, everyone around her seemed to know who she was.
Auria was in the crowd, following everyone's gazes toward Rebekah.
Rebekah tried to get away from everyone, walking into an alley.
Two witches followed her.
Auria sighed, following them with a bag of witchcraft.
--
Alley
Rebekah ran into the dead-end alley. She turned to face the two witches behind her angrily, scared. "Are you two looking for something? Besides a smack in the jaw?"
"You will die for what you've done," Witch 1 told her.
Auria walked into the alley, taking out one of the witch items that she had just gotten from her bag. It was a spelled rattle. Auria shook it, chanting. "Les hommes, pas la fille." The spell made the two witches fall to the ground and scream in agony. Auria ran past them toward Rebekah. "There's more of them on the way. We should probably go."
Rebekah nodded.
Rebekah and Auria ran away before the witches could recover enough to retaliate.

Worlds Colliding (The Originals)

St. Louis Cathedral Church - Bell Tower
Vincent/Finn and Freya were still hiding out in the bell tower of the cathedral from their siblings.
Freya walked up behind Vincent/Finn.
Vincent/Finn looked anxiously out the window at the city below.
"Don't worry," Freya told him. "I've made sure no one can come in here."
"I'm not worried," Vincent/Finn told her. "I'm just impatient for a reunion with the brothers and sister that tried to kill me." He walked toward Freya. "Freya, now that I'm healed, I need power. Now, our father's still in the tomb where I left him. I think it's time that I go back and I channel him."
Vincent/Finn walked toward the door.
Freya considered this for a moment, turning after him. "Finn?" Vincent/Finn turned to face her. "I need a moment alone with him first." Vincent/Finn didn't seem pleased by this request. "It's been a thousand years. He doesn't even know I'm still alive."
"Believe me, Freya, that is for the best," Vincent/Finn told her. "He's a monster."
Freya approached him, looking saddened by this response. "He wasn't a monster to me."
"Well, he changed after you were taken," Vincent/Finn told her. "Freya, I spent years hoping that he would go back to being himself, but he never did. And, from what I understand, over the centuries, he's grown far worse."
"Just a few minutes, my sweet Muninn," Freya told him.
Vincent/Finn sighed, unable to deny her what she wanted. "I suppose you'll want time with our mother as well."
Freya was angered by the mention of her, shaking her head coldly. "Esther gave me away. She is nothing to me. Let her rot."
Vincent/Finn looked at her, seemingly impressed by her hatred of Esther.
--
Abattoir Compound - Upstairs Living Room
Klaus, Kassandra, Hayley, Mikayla and Jackson were talking.
"It's time to use our werewolf army," Klaus told them. "Finn and the woman who calls herself our sister are in this city. The wolves can help us pinpoint their location."
"No," Jackson told them. "We need all hands on deck here with Hope. You can compel humans to track your enemies."
"Do my ears deceive me, or did you just give me an order in my own home?" Klaus asked.
"This is not about your ego, Klaus," Hayley told him. Kassandra smirked, looking down. "It's about what's best for our little girl."
"Hayley," Mikayla told her. "Klaus is right." Hayley looked at her in confusion. "Finn's body disappeared from the morgue, which means he's powerful enough to heal from that explosion."
"No," Kassandra told them. "We chipped his ability to channel our parents away. It means Freya's powerful enough to save him."
Mikayla nodded, looking at Jackson. "Either way, we're not finding them unless we send our best people out there."
"But I'm sure you and all your merry men will find them posthaste," Kassandra told them.
Jackson stood, stepping toward Klaus. "Just to be clear, I'm giving this order because Mikayla is asking. Don't think for one second I take orders from you."
Jackson walked out, leaving.
Kassandra smirked. "I like him. Got yourself a keeper, Mikayla."
Mikayla smiled a small smile. "Thanks, Kassandra."

Lafayette Cemetery - Kol's Playhouse
Davina was sitting on the couch, crying silently.
Caitlin walked closer with water to drink, sitting next to her best friend. "I'm so sorry, Davina."
"It's not your fault," Davina told her. "None of this is your fault."
Caitlin looked down, shaking her head. "Kol got cursed by Finn because he was helping you trying to save me, and he failed."
Davina shook her head. "No, Cait..." She took a deep breath. "This is on Finn. And I know I can't do anything about him. But I can do something about Kol."
"So, you're being you," Caitlin told her, lightly, trying to cheer her up. "You're up to something."
"I'm going to look for anything that can help me bring Kol back," Davina told her. "Rebekah and I both promised that we would find a way to bring him back."
Caitlin nodded barely, looking down for a moment, looking up. "D, I know everybody hates being asked this question, but... are you gonna be okay?"
Davina managed a small smile. "You know, nobody's asked me that before." Caitlin smiled sympathetically. "Thank you for being here, Caitlin."
Caitlin nodded reassuringly.
Caitlin and Davina embraced.
--
Marcel's Loft
Rebekah and Auria were sitting on the couch.
Marcel was sitting in a chair nearby.
Noah stood at the bar, pouring them drinks, walking closer. "Here you are."
Rebekah took her glass. "Thank you." She took a drink, looking at Auria. "All of you. What where you doing there, Auria?"
"I was getting witchy items I needed for a spell of mine," Auria answered. "But you should know something. I can get in and out of there before anyone notices I'm there. I've done it hundreds of times. But the Treme witches are not friendly to outsiders. What were you doing there?"
"I was looking for anything that could help boost my magic," Rebekah answered. "I promised Kol I'd find a way to bring him back, and I can't do that as an amateur-hour witch."
"Okay, you need to be more careful," Noah told her.
"I can take care of myself," Rebekah told them.
"All evidence to the contrary," Marcel told her.
"Don't be condescending," Rebekah told him.
Marcel looked at Auria. "And you, always going over to that market when you know it's bad news. Auria..."
"It's a good thing I did, or Rebekah would be dead, Marcel," Auria told him. "No need to be overprotective."
Marcel was slightly frustrated, turning away, pinching the bridge of his nose.
Noah smirked in amusement. "Your ex and your girlfriend are both stubborn and don't like to be told what to do. At least you have a type, Marcel."
Marcel pointed at Noah. "I don't want to hear one more word from you on this. Not one word."
Noah chuckled, taking a drink.
Rebekah and Auria exchanged a smirk.
Elijah walked in, looking at Rebekah. "Are you all right?"
Rebekah stood, walking toward him. "Barely. The attackers knew me, Elijah. Not me-me, but..." She gestured to her body. "This. Her. Whoever she is. They want her dead."
Elijah walked toward Marcel, Noah and Auria. "Then we find them and show them why their anger is unwise."
Auria stood. "You don't want to mess with that crowd, all right? We want answers, we need to ask Josephine LaRue. She serves as matriarch to the covens outside the Quarter. She'll know who wants Rebekah dead."
"How can you be sure?" Noah asked.
"She bankrolls Fauline Cottage," Auria answered. They looked at Auria in surprise. Auria looked at Rebekah. "She'll know who you are and why you were locked up in there."
"And what if she wants to lock me right back up?" Rebekah asked. "I won't go back to that horrid place."
"Auria, should I pay a visit to Josephine?" Elijah asked.
"No," Auria answered. "Josephine is an eccentric old bat with no love for vampires." She thought for a moment, sighing, turning to face Marcel. "I'll go."
Marcel raised his eyebrows. "You'll go right up to the Regent of the witches and ask her a few favors, after everything?"
"I told you that I wanted to make it right, so that I can stop running," Auria told him. "This is the way to do that. Marcel, you've had an arrangement with Josephine before when you ruled the Quarter. You know that she's not one to act out like the other witches."
"Fine," Marcel told her. "But I'm going with you, Auria."
Auria nodded. "Fine."
Elijah nodded, turning to Rebekah. "Niklaus, Kassandra, Mikayla and I are looking for Finn. We're looking to take him down today. Will you be okay here?"
"I'll be here," Noah told them. "Rebekah and I can see what we can find about this body she now possesses."
"Thank you, Noah," Elijah told him.
Noah nodded.
"Right," Rebekah agreed. "Yes, thank you, Noah. Looks like we all have a job to do. So, let's do it."
--
Lafayette Cemetery - Lyonne Tomb
Vincent/Finn and Freya were in the Lyonne tomb, where Mikael and Lenore/Esther's desiccated bodies were still laying where Vincent/Finn left them.
Vincent/Finn covered up Lenore/Esther's body with a white sheet, turning to Freya, looking concerned. "Our brothers and sisters probably have spies all over the place looking for us--"
"I won't be long, Finn," Freya told him. "I promise."
Vincent/Finn was still anxious about this plan of hers. "Freya... are you sure you want to do this?" Freya rolled her eyes good-naturedly. "This is not the man that you remember."
Freya smiled weakly. "He is still my father." Vincent/Finn nodded in understanding, picking up Lenore/Esther's shrouded body, walking out of the tomb, leaving so Freya and Mikael could have privacy. Freya looked down at Mikael, taking out a knife from her coat pocket, cutting her left index fingertip with it, starting to cast a spell. "Sin vaca arugas heniga." She smeared the blood from her index finger onto the middle and ring fingertip of her right hand, swiping the blood across Mikael's lips. "Sin vaca arugas heniga."
The blood began to magically restore Mikael's skin from its desiccated gray state to its natural color.
Mikael opened his eyes, awakening with a gasp.

Auria's Apartment - Living Room
Marcel was sitting on the couch, dressed in casual formal clothes, not too dressy.
Auria was getting dressed in a dress in a similar fashion.
Caitlin sat at a keyboard she had set up by the wall, playing a few keys to a slow song.
Marcel was looking through a file full of papers.
"Can't we just bring wine?" Caitlin asked. "Or coffeecake? Bundt cake? Any kind of cake?"
"Josephine was something of a musical prodigy in her youth," Auria told them. "However, in her heart is the music she loves the most." Marcel set down paper in front of Caitlin. "Beethoven's Sonata No. 9, Opus 47. You might not be able to play it on violin, but you can on piano. I've heard you play, Caitlin, and you're good. You and Noah both share a love for music, and you're both great."
Caitlin tilted her head in annoyance, unimpressed. "How about I bring my laptop and speakers and come up with my own beat?"
"C, your performance is what will open the door for us," Marcel told her. "If this fails, Rebekah will be in jeopardy, and I know that you don't want that to happen." He snapped his fingers, standing. "Shall we move, please?"
Caitlin rolled her eyes. "No. Why don't you make all our lives easier and just compel someone from the symphony?"
Auria sighed, walking closer. "Because we're trying to gain Josephine's trust and build a peace, Caitlin. And for their to be a peace, a renegade witch, the King of the Quarter, and his link need to be there. She doesn't like vampires, and she's not necessarily fond of me, so we need to show her that we're not so bad."
"And that's why you're both dressed like half-ass monkeys?" Caitlin asked. "I suppose you want me in a dress, too."
Auria smirked. "We should adapt to our audience, yes."
Caitlin knew that they didn't have a choice, sighing in defeat.
--
Abattoir Compound - Hallway
Jackson and Aiden were walking through the halls of the compound.
"So, what are we now?" Aiden asked. "Errand boys?"
"I told you," Jackson told him. "Finn is powerful. If we're gonna find him, we need numbers, strength, and speed."
"Wait, Jack," Aiden told him. "These new abilities of ours. People are already talking about what they can do individually. And they need to feel respected, not like cannon fodder. We're gonna lose good men."
"We're not gonna lose anybody if you stay alert," Jackson told him, raising his voice. "Hunt Finn down as a pack. Catch him off-guard. The sooner we find this freak, the sooner we can all relax." Aiden looked conflicted, nodding in agreement. Jackson looked guilty for losing his temper. "And Aiden? I appreciate your concern. But why don't you let me worry about the pack?"
Jackson walked away, leaving.
Klaus approached Aiden from behind. "Surprising how little he values your input. Especially since it was you who led the wolves during his self-imposed exile."
Aiden sighed, turning to face him. "It wasn't self-imposed. The Guerras told him to stay away or they would kill Mikayla. What do you want?"
"Merely to offer advice that may save the lives of the good men," Klaus told him. "My brother Finn is not entirely sane, but he is clever. If you approach him en masse, he will see you coming, and he will destroy you en masse. Instead, be strategic. Move quietly. I'll handle the rest."
Aiden looked at him in confusion for the supposed kindness.
Klaus smirked, walking away, leaving.
--
Marcel's Loft
Noah had just returned to the apartment with a box in his hand.
Rebekah had been waiting for him.
Noah held up the box, smiling sarcastically. "Oh, nothing says manly like buying a matching tea set." He started to open the box, taking out the tea pot and cups to set them up. "Good news is, this guy who's coming is dialed into witch business like you wouldn't believe. If anyone can tell us about you, it's him."
Noah took off his jacket, sitting down on the couch.
Rebekah noticed that he wasn't completely focused. "What's got you so distracted, Noah?"
"You mean other than everyone being in danger for the past week because of your psycho brother and that anyone could just waltz in here and take whoever they want?" Noah asked sarcastically. "Nothing much."
Rebekah frowned in confusion, leaning forward. "Is this about Caitlin? About my father and Finn taking her on more than one occasion just this past week?"
"Sadly, yes," Noah answered. "Auria and I tried to convince Marcel into putting this loft under Caitlin's name so that every vampire would need an invitation to get in, but every vampire in the Quarter decides to make this place their home."
"So get her out of here," Rebekah told him. "I know that Caitlin doesn't want to leave the city, but move her someplace else, Noah. Like your home, for example. Take your own advice and put it under Caitlin's name for her protection."
"That's good in theory, but that only stops the vampires," Noah told her. "It doesn't stop the witches or the wolves that might want to hurt Caitlin."
"Well, you can only handle one enemy at a time, right?" Rebekah asked. "Offer the idea to her. And if she says yes, then you can protect her. If she says no, then do everything else you can otherwise."
Noah thought about this seriously for a moment, nodding.
A man walked into the apartment with a satchel in his hands. "Am I interrupting?"
"No," Noah answered. "You're right on time." He stood to greet him, introducing the man to Rebekah. "Allow me to introduce Ruben Morris. Local seer, sage, and prognosticator for hire."
Rebekah stood. "Thank you for coming."
Ruben looked at Rebekah for a long moment, as if he was unnerved. "Yeah. Charmed." He turned to Noah. "Just a reminder, house calls cost double."
Noah pulled out a wad of $100 dollar bills, putting it into Ruben's open hand. "Mm-hmm."
Ruben pocketed the money. "Hmm." Rebekah sat back down on the couch, looking nervous about this new stranger in the loft. "Where'd you find her?"
Noah made up a story. "On the streets. Memory wiped clean. Could be a hex or amnesia. I figured you'd have an idea of who she is, or maybe a way to find out."
Ruben smiled weakly, looking at Rebekah, setting his bag down on the coffee table. "I've never see her before. But, that doesn't mean we can't figure it out." He turned to Noah. "You get what I asked you for?" Noah pointed to the tea set on the bar. Ruben went to pick it up. "Then my leaves will tell us everything we need to know."
Ruben opened up his satchel, revealing several varieties of teas and herbs in jars and bottles.

Lafayette Cemetery - Lyonne Tomb
Mikael had just awakened in the Lyonne tomb, struggling to stand to his feet. He saw Freya standing before him, looking at her angrily. "What devil are you?"
Freya was overwhelmed from seeing her father after 1,000 years, smiling happily, tears in her eyes. "Someone you once loved deeply, my Father."
Mikael growled, rushing toward Freya, gripping her throat, pushing her against the wall angrily. "I've no time for your riddles, witch!"
"Do you not recognize me?" Freya asked. "Can you not see the daughter you thought died so long ago?"
Mikael was furiously in a rage. "You lie!"
Freya shook her head meekly, upset that he didn't know who she was. "You named your sword Rathul, after the early morning sun." Mikael was stunned and overwhelmed by this response, slowly letting go of her neck. "Its hilt was golden, like the color of my hair. You said it would remind you of me while you were in battle. That I'd be by your side no matter how far afield you traveled."
Mikael looked at Freya in shock, speaking quietly. "It can't be..."
"The night before you left for war, you christened that sword with goat's blood," Freya told him. "When I awoke, you were gone. I never saw you again."
Mikael had tears in his eyes. "It's been a thousand years. How is this possible?"
"I was taken," Freya answered. "By Dahlia. I'll explain everything." She took Mikael's hands, kneeling in front of him, crying. "Just say you believe me."
Mikael knelt in front of Freya, taking her face in his hands, crying as well as she, both overwhelmed with emotion. "My beautiful Freya. My daughter."
They embraced, finally having the reunion they longed for for a thousand years.
--
Abattoir Compound - Mikayla/Jackson's Room
Mikayla was getting ready to leave.
Jackson walked in, gently knocking on the door frame.
Mikayla turned to face him, seeing that he was holding a plate in his hand.
"Thought you might be hungry," Jackson told her.
Mikayla smiled. "Grilled cheese, huh? Hell of a chef."
Jackson laughed. "Well, I don't like to brag." Mikayla smiled. "Where are you going?"
"I wanna be able to help the wolves, Klaus, Elijah and Kassandra track down Finn and Freya," Mikayla told him. "I wanna be able to do something. So, while Hayley's here with Hope, and you're here with the wolves leading them in defense of the home, I'm gonna go out there and do something about this."
Mikayla walked closer to take the plate from Jackson.
Jackson shook his head. "No one's asking you to go up against Finn or anyone else for your family."
"No, but I want to," Mikayla told him. "Finn took control of the wolves, and he hurt my friends, the people that I care about. I'm not about to let him get away with that."
Jackson smiled. "I am awed by your compassion." Mikayla smiled. "It's just... both of us seem to be a million miles away from each other lately."
"We're fine," Mikayla told him. "We've both been busy. And once we deal with Finn, we'll be able to relax."
Jackson looked a little awkward. "I just want you to feel... obligated to anyone, or anything. Especially this marriage."
"How many times do I have to tell you?" Mikayla asked. "None of this is an obligation." Jackson cleared his throat. Mikayla realized why he was acting like this. "You're not talking about the Mikaelsons. You're talking about the marriage, and sex."
Jackson was taken aback by how open she was about it, smiling in amusement. "Wow. You're not one to hold back."
"Well, it's not something that we have to be shy about," Mikayla told him.
"That's the start of our life together," Jackson told her.
"We're both adults," Mikayla told him. "Let's just... put on some Marvin Gaye, and light some candles." Jackson started to laugh. "And we'll just..." Mikayla smiled, laughing. "It'll be great. But I'm not gonna be one of those wives that stays home all day while everybody else does the heavy lifting. I want to be able to do something."
"Well, yeah, because you're a warrior queen," Jackson told her. They stepped closer, kissing sweetly, slowly and passionately, pulling away. "Go be a warrior queen."
Mikayla smiled.
--
Marcel's Loft
Ruben was grinding up a tea mixture with a mortar and pestle.
Noah and Rebekah sat across from him in preparation to find the past of Rebekah's vessel.
"Can we just get to the part where you tell me who I am?" Rebekah asked.
Ruben poured steaming hot water from the tea pot into the leaves in each cup. "You want the leaves to talk, you gotta sip the tea." Rebekah looked at Noah nervously. Noah nodded in encouragement. "You, too, Noah. The spell won't work if you're not part of it." Rebekah drank the tea from her cup. Noah sighed, picking up the tea, taking a drink. Ruben picked up Rebekah's cup from the table, peering inside it to examine the leaves, sighing. "The leaves say you were born with a dark side. Fought against your nature." He looked up at Rebekah. "Looks like you lost." He looked at the leaves in the cup. "Hmm."
"What?" Rebekah asked nervously.
"I heard of this before," Ruben told them. "Hmm..."
"What is it?" Rebekah asked.
"Last year, a witch named Eva Sinclair was stealing children to channel their power," Ruben told them. Rebekah's eyelids started to flutter. She began to get woozy. "That'd be you." Eva/Rebekah started to hyperventilate when she realized the tea had been dosed with something. "You're a murderous psychopath."
Eva/Rebekah clutched her chest, gasping for breath.
Noah reached out his arm to steady her.
Eva/Rebekah wheezed, standing to her feet. "I can't breathe."
Ruben watched them, clearly pleased.
Noah stood to help Eva/Rebekah. "You're having a panic attack." Eva/Rebekah was too weak to stay upright, leaning down against the coffee table. The table collapsed under her, causing the tea pot and cups to fall to the floor. Noah stumbled as well, realizing that he had been slipped something in his tea as well. "Hey!" He started to get dizzy, doubling over, glaring at Ruben. "She is not who you think she is."
Eva/Rebekah was laying flat on the floor, seeing a glass vial of red liquid, along with a burlap pouch of herbs, on the floor in front of her. She reached out to grab it while she struggled to come up with a plan to save herself and Noah.
Ruben stood angrily. "She is. Noah Dumaine, I expected you to keep a better company of people." Noah lunged toward Ruben. Ruben held his hand toward Noah, twisting his wrist, using magic to snap his neck, making him fall. Eva/Rebekah gasped for breath, trying her best to get to her feet. Ruben turned to Rebekah. "No one could prove it was you, Eva. They never found those kids." Eva/Rebekah tried to crawl backward. Ruben walked toward her. "And those of us with kids of our own, we'd go to bed at night and not sleep a wink knowing that you were out there. There was no way I was gonna let you out into the world. Not if my son could be next."
Eva/Rebekah collapsed flat onto the floor. Her eyes fluttered as she started to fade out of consciousness.

LaRue Mansion - Outside
(Song:) Sonata No. 9, Opus 47 - Beethoven (Piano version)
Marcel, Auria and Caitlin approached the house, in the casual formal clothes for the meeting with the Regent of the witches.
They were let inside by a butler, led toward Josephine.
--
Living Room
Caitlin was playing the classical song on the piano.
Marcel and Auria stood nearby, watching.
The elderly witch Regent Josephine was sitting in a chair, listening, pleased to hear the song.
Caitlin picked up the tempo for the faster part of the song, slowing down to play the longer, brighter cords, bringing the song to an end.
(Song Ends)
Caitlin lowered her hands to her lap, looking up nervously.
Josephine smirked, turning her head toward Marcel. "You are as calculating as I've heard, Mr. Gerard. Having your link play the very piece I once performed to great acclaim."
Caitlin looked at Marcel and Auria, obviously uncomfortable.
Marcel looked at Josephine, smiling. "I know it's a piece that you enjoy."
"It's best not to insult those more powerful than you, which is the only reason I allowed you into my home," Josephine told them. "Now, if you will excuse me, I have many things to do.'
Marcel smiled. "And here I had expected a more cordial welcome here."
"And why would I be cordial to you?" Josephine asked. Marcel looked as if he wanted to say something, but remained silent. "Since your reign over the Quarter began, vampires ruled the city. Witches were massacred and publicly executed. Promising young witches have been inhabited against their will. And now the Originals have returned to town, and even while your reign is over, they prove to be bigger monsters than you ever were."
"We can put an end to all of it," Marcel told her.
"With all due respect, I can believe that... as much as I believe I will play my violin again somebody," Josephine told them, looking down at her hands, which were shaking and extremely swollen, her fingers and joints stiff, disfigured and painful-looking. Auria looked at them in surprise. "Because, Mr. Gerard, beneath your charm and charisma, you are all the same. Liars. Monsters wearing the skins of humans."
"They're not all the same, you know," Caitlin told her. Josephine looked at her in surprise. "I know vampires that haven't even taken a human life. Haven't done anything worse than most of the witches or the wolves in this town."
"The witches have put children to death, sacrificed them, made their lives living hell," Auria told her. "The wolves wanted their untriggered children to kill officials of this city and have them trigger their curses. And the Human Faction turned their cheek throughout all of it and some of them even helped bathe in it. So, tell me, Josephine, can you say that the vampires and only the vampires are the true monsters in this city?"
Josephine didn't answer.

Marcel's Loft
Eva/Rebekah was desperately, weakly crawling across the floor toward the bookshelf.
Ruben continued to slowly walk toward her. "Gypsum weed is nasty stuff. It's been killing people since the Middle Ages. Those hallucinations? They'll get worse. And then the pain'll start."
Eva/Rebekah tried to pull herself up off the floor by holding onto one of the shelves on the bookshelf, gasping for air. "There's something you need to know about me."
"The hell could you tell me I don't already know, Eva Sinclair?" Ruben asked.
Eva/Rebekah finally managed to stand to her feet. "My name is Rebekah Mikaelson, and I know the antidote to gypsum weed."
Eva/Rebekah grabbed a small sculpture of a fleur-de-lis and used it to backhand Ruben in the face. The base of the sculpture made contact with his temple and knocked him out as he fell to the floor.

LaRue Mansion - Living Room
Marcel, Auria and Caitlin were still meeting with Josephine, all three standing.
"I hold no animosity, nor do I want to do you any favors," Josephine told them. "I simply want you to leave my home."
Caitlin rolled her eyes in frustration. "Auria, Marcel, screw her. I don't see a freaking crown on her head."
Auria and Marcel knew that Caitlin was going to just be Caitlin and that being herself to Josephine would get them what they needed, smiling knowingly.
Josephine looked at Caitlin in surprise, speaking calmly. "I beg your pardon?"
"You're not the Queen of the witches," Caitlin told her. "You don't speak for all of them." She sighed. "You know, I can't believe I dressed up and learned how to play Beethoven. I hate Beethoven."
"And what do you like, young lady, if not for Beethoven?" Josephine asked in amusement. "Then, what?"
Caitlin looked at Josephine defiantly, tilting her head, backing away, taking a seat at the piano once again, starting to play an upbeat jazz piece. (the same jazz piece that Noah and Gia had played for the vampires in 2.02 Alive and Kicking)
https://youtu.be/GDvqmcZTIpU
Marcel and Auria smiled while Caitlin played.
Josephine seemed surprised by her talent and her defiance.
Caitlin came to an end of the song, looking at Josephine expectantly, looking as if she was expecting a rise out of her.
Josephine smiled. "Eddie South. That makes you a true jazz girl."
Caitlin looked at her in surprise. "You know Eddie South?"
"One time, I nearly eloped with a jazz musician," Josephine told them. She frowned at the memory. "Um, my mother learned of my plans, and..." She looked down at her swollen, arthritic-looking hands. "Let's just say she wasn't pleased." Auria looked at her sympathetically. "Your candor is refreshing."
"Yes, well, Caitlin's candor can get a little out of hand sometimes," Marcel told her.
Caitlin smirked. "It's a habit."
Josephine chuckled.
Auria stepped closer to Josephine. "This isn't a favor that we're asking from you. It's a deal. You tell us everything that you know about the girl we're looking for, and I will do anything to set things right between us. To pay my dues and have nothing to fear between me or any other witch. No more death, no more threats, no more anything."
Josephine considered this for a long moment. "I suppose I should just hear you out , Miss Rayvnne."
Marcel looked at Auria and Caitlin, surprised that they had won her over.
Caitlin was surprised herself.
Auria smirked knowingly.

Lafayette Cemetery - Lyonne Tomb
Mikayla walked through the crypt alone, searching for Vincent/Finn. She looked around the tomb until she heard a squelching noise followed by a groan of pain from around a corner, alarmed, rushing around the corner.
Jerrick's body fell to the floor.
Mikael was standing over him, holding Jerrick's heart in his hand, blood dripping from his mouth down his neck. He held up the heart in his hand for Mikayla to see. "Oh, I believe this belongs to one of your mangy spies. Mikayla, isn't it?" He dropped the heart to the floor at Mikayla's feet. Mikayla was angry and upset by the revelation that Jerrick was dead. "I much prefer vampire blood, but after so long in slumber, one needn't be so picky. Maybe you can help with that, darling. I have yet to taste the blood of a hybrid. It is Mikayla, right? The sister of the hybrid my son... what's the proper terminology these days? 'Knocked up'?"
Mikayla smirked sarcastically.
Mikael stalked closer. Mikayla tried to punch him. Mikael caught her arm, twisting it behind her back, breaking it, trying to bite her from behind. Mikayla back kicked Mikael to make him let go, spinning around, kicking him in the head, making him fall against the wall. Mikael stood, rushing toward Mikayla, pushing her against the wall. Mikayla headbutted him, making him back away. Mikael prepared to retaliate.
Freya walked around the corner from behind Mikael. "Leave her, Father." Mikael stopped. Mikayla looked between them in confusion. "Mikayla isn't the issue. Bloodshed is merely a distraction. We have important matters to attend to."
Mikael didn't seem pleased at this order, not moving.
Freya cupped her hands together, blowing into them, magically creating a high-pitched whistle that caused Mikayla immense pain, making her fall to her knees and hold her head and scream in pain.
The sound stopped.
Mikayla looked up, seeing that both Mikael and Freya were gone. She stood, looking around in exasperation.

LaRue Mansion - Living Room
Josephine's butler handed Marcel a stack of files.
Marcel took them, beginning to skim. "Thank you. One of the witches that escaped the Fauline Cottage is of particular importance to us. My request to you, tell your people to leave her to us."
"You have no idea how dangerous these witches can be," Josephine told them.
"She will cause you no further trouble, I can assure you that," Marcel told her. "See, this isn't just about Auria making amends. It's also about me making amends." Josephine looked at Auria, clearly surprised. Auria smiled a small smile. "In return, we shall find all of the remaining witches and deliver them safely back to you."
Auria took the files, which contained psychiatric evaluations of Eva Sinclair. The evaluation detailed her violent tendencies, criminal and antisocial behavior, numerous arrests and incarcerations, and a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia.
Auria pulled out the photo of Eva, handing it to Josephine. "Consider this the first step in a new and mutually beneficial alliance."
Caitlin continued to sit at the piano and watch them, boredly playing a few notes.
Josephine looked at the photo, surprised. "Eva Sinclair. Powerful and sadistic. If I am to relinquish someone like her into your custody, I will require someone equally powerful in return." Caitlin looked up expectantly. "The Treme Coven wants Vincent Griffith returned."
"And how the hell are we supposed to expel Finn Mikaelson from his body?" Caitlin asked.
Josephine stood, walking toward a necklace on the table, picking it up, looking at Auria. "I assume you know what this is."
Auria nodded. "It's a soul catcher. Say the right spell, aim it at the right person, and you take possession of the soul that is in that body."
"Use it to get Finn Mikaelson out of Vincent Griffith, return him to us, and you'll be well on your way to regaining what you came for," Josephine told her.
Auria considered for a moment, taking the necklace from Josephine, looking up. "Consider it done."

Lafayette Cemetery
Kassandra walked through the cemetery, knowing that her brother was somewhere nearby. "Finn! I know you're here."
Klaus and Elijah were walking separately through the cemetery as well.
Klaus's phone vibrated. He saw that Marcel was calling, ignoring the call. He walked along. "Mikayla told us you've been quite active robbing graves and violating corpses. Sounds like you."
Elijah turned around in a circle, looking for Vincent/Finn, continuing to walk. "Why don't you come out so we can finish this?"
Vincent/Finn appeared behind his sister. "Hello, Kassandra."
Kassandra turned around to see Vincent/Finn. "Such a pedestrian greeting." She walked toward him. "How unfortunate those are to be your last words."
Vincent/Finn stopped where he was.
Kassandra glared at him.
--~--
Vincent/Finn walked closer to Kassandra. "Your hubris truly knows no bounds. You attack a witch in the very place that the Ancestors call home?"
Vincent/Finn ticked his tongue, shaking his finger and his head.
"You're a fool if you think the Ancestors give a damn about you," Kassandra told him.
"They may not care for me, Kassandra, but they hate you," Vincent/Finn told her, using magic to set the path between them in flames.
Kassandra rushed away before she could be harmed, up onto a mausoleum up above. "You lost a step, brother. But then, being blown to pieces will do that, I suppose."
Kassandra flipped off of the mausoleum to the ground, landing soundly.
Vincent/Finn used magic to throw a wrought iron gate into Kassandra, spearing her to the mausoleum she had been standing on. "Finished so soon, my indestructible sister?"
Elijah rushed closer, pulling the gate of Kassandra's chest, tearing a spear-like pole from it, tossing the gate to the ground.
"Happy to join the party, brother?" Kassandra asked.
Klaus walked closer. "Not as happy as I am."
"Father was right about you, Niklaus," Vincent/Finn told him. "You are nothing but a disappointment."
"You dare to judge him?" Elijah asked. "You cursed Kol to death. He died, Finn, by your will, and now he is one of the Ancestors that call this place home. You really think that he would go to such lengths to protect you? His killer? You killed your own blood!"
"But you didn't stop there, did you?" Klaus asked. "No. As an encore, you sought the death of an innocent child. My child." He took the spear from Elijah, throwing it into Vincent/Finn's stomach, rushing closer, pushing the spear further into him. "For what you did to Kol, for what you would have done to Hope, I'm going to enjoy making you suffer."
Klaus took the spear out of Vincent/Finn, raising it to stab him.
Marcel rushed toward Klaus, pushing him against the tomb nearby Kassandra and Elijah. "You didn't answer my call."
"Well, I was a little bit busy," Klaus told him.
Auria walked closer. "We need him alive."
"Auria, Marcel, why on Earth would either of you think that, after all he's done to the two of you?" Kassandra asked. "To Caitlin and Noah?"
Klaus pushed Marcel off of him.
Auria and Marcel stood in the way of Vincent/Finn.
"Stand aside," Elijah told them.
Auria and Marcel refused to move.
Klaus, Kassandra and Elijah looked at them in disbelief.

Marcel's Loft
Ruben was still laying unconscious on the floor of the loft.
Noah awakened from healing his snapped neck. He looked around, finding Eva/Rebekah digging through Ruben's satchel of tea and herbs. "Ugh. Mm. Whew."
"About bloody time you woke," Eva/Rebekah told him. She continued searching through the satchel. "I was starting to get bored."
Noah was confused and dizzy. "How did you...?"
"Sitave beans and mezul counteract the effects of the poison," Eva/Rebekah told him. "Seems all my mother's prattling about witch concoctions wasn't such a waste." Noah still looked pretty out of it, rubbing his aching head, groaning in pain. He noticed Ruben laying on the floor, transforming angrily, rushing toward him to finish him off. Eva/Rebekah stopped him. "Noah! Don't. He's just a father trying to protect his child. He doesn't deserve to die for it. I was only a parent for a few months, but I felt that same instinct."
Noah considered this response for a moment, hesitating, sighing, deciding to let it go.

Lafayette Cemetery
Vincent/Finn was aware enough to try to stand and try to use magic against his siblings, Auria and Marcel.
Auria used magic to push Vincent/Finn against the tomb behind him, twisting her hand slightly to irritate the wound in his stomach to make him stop, making him groan in pain.
"Let him die," Klaus told them.
"The witches want that body returned unharmed," Marcel told them.
"And what else do they want?" Kassandra asked in annoyance. "A parade? Free broomsticks for all? Well, currying some witch's favor does not concern me."
"Well, it should," Auria told them, smirking. "As you may have noticed, witch allies can prove valuable." She used her fingers to lift the blue pendant on the necklace Josephine handed Auria toward Vincent/Finn, casting the spell. "Yovara vimuna viarel." The pendant started to glow bright blue. Vincent/Finn started to scream in agony as his body was healed. "Yovara viumuna virael."
Finn's soul leaked out of Vincent's body into the pendant.
Auria lowered her hand to her side.
Vincent sat up in shock, looking at them in horror. "What's happening?"
"It's okay," Auria told him. "Marcel, let's get him out of here."
Marcel and Auria helped Vincent stand, helping him out of the cemetery.
Klaus, Kassandra and Elijah were not happy about this.
"Marcellus, Auria..." Elijah trailed off.
Freya approached her siblings from behind. "Let them go, brothers. Sister." Klaus, Kassandra and Elijah turned to face Freya. "Finn is now safe from harm, and Caitlin, Marcel and Auria may have garnered the witches onto your side. Finn's hatred of you can no longer do damage to our cause."
"Our cause?" Elijah repeated.
Freya nodded. "Yes, ours. And now, if you can stop arguing long enough, perhaps you'll allow your older sister to offer you a deal."
--~--
Klaus looked at Freya. "What could you possible offer us besides fairy tales and lies?"
"Whatever you may think of me, brother, know this," Freya told him. "When I speak to you, it is the truth. If you've any doubts, remember it was I who rescued Rebekah from the Fauline Cottage."
Kassandra walked past Freya, pacing. "And was it not also you who led Finn on his vile mission to take Hope's life?"
Kassandra turned to face Freya from behind her.
"The threat to Hope came from Finn, not me," Freya told them. "The brother I knew would never have stooped to threaten a child. Our mother destroyed him. Like she did me, all of you, everything she touched."
"Do not speak as though we are familiars," Klaus told her. "We know nothing of you."
Freya held one of her hands toward Kassandra, and the other toward Klaus and Elijah.

Flashback - 2.06 "Wheel Inside the Wheel"
Kingdom of Norway - 10 Century
Day - Woods
Young Esther was standing in front of her sister Dahlia, upset.
Young Finn clutched to her side, afraid.
"Sister, please, I cannot give up my child," Young Esther told her.
Dahlia angrily picked Young Freya up, walking quickly away from Young Finn and Young Esther.
Young Freya became frightened, crying. "Mommy!"
"Freya!" Young Esther cried. "Dahlia, please!"
"Mommy!" Young Freya screamed in fear.
Young Freya continued to scream as Dahlia took her away.
Young Esther broke, crying in despair.

Now
Day - Lafayette Cemetery
Freya let Kassandra, Klaus and Elijah go of her magic. "Do you think me a liar?"
"That proves nothing but your ability to conjure illusions," Klaus told her.
"Before you dismiss me, you should know this," Freya told him. "If I've woken from my slumber, then Dahlia has as well. Once she's sensed your child's magic, she will come for her. And she has the power to kill anyone who stands in her way. Unless we kill her first."
"It's quite convenient, isn't it?" Klaus asked. "You know up in the nick of time to help us kill the woman with whom you spent a thousand years?"
"You have no idea what it took to escape her, or what I lost in the trying," Freya told them. "Her punishment will be profound."
"And you know how to stop her?" Elijah asked.
Freya nodded. "Given the proper material, yes. I've sent Father to procure them."
"You put the life of my child in the hands of Mikael," Klaus told her, turning to leave.
"Niklaus, this woman has knowledge of the threat we now face, and is willing to share that information," Elijah told him.
Klaus turned to face them. "Well, you'll excuse me, Elijah, if I'm not inclined to trust the mysterious sister we only just met. But by all means, if you and Kassandra wish to entertain this idiocy, have at it."
Klaus rushed away, leaving.
Freya turned to Kassandra and Elijah. "Thank you. Your kindness is much appreciated."
"I may be willing to accept your identity, Freya," Kassandra told her. "Doesn't mean I trust you."
"And I will look forward to earning that trust, little sister," Freya told her. "Kassandra."
Freya smiled, turning around, walking away, leaving.
Kassandra and Elijah exchanged a look, sighing.

Night - Abattoir Compound - Hope's Nursery
Hayley was in the nursery, holding a shrieking Hope and desperately trying to soothe her by rocking her, to no avail. "Shh. Shh. It's okay. I'm here." Hope continued screaming and crying. Hayley was exhausted. "Please stop crying. You're giving me a complex." She sighed. "Uh, is it possible that I am the worst mother on the planet?" She snuggled Hope against her chest, speaking quietly. "Hey, come here."
Hope continued to cry.
Hayley rubbed her back, continuing to hold and rock her until she finally calmed down. She sighed in relief, laying Hope down for her to go to sleep.

Mikayla/Jackson's Room
Jackson was sitting on the bed, holding his head as if he had a headache.
Mikayla walked in, looking sad. "We lost Jerrick."
Jackson sighed, saddened. "I know."
"I saw it, Jack," Mikayla told him. "Mikael got him. I fought him."
Jackson looked at Mikayla in concern, standing. "You okay?"
"Yeah," Mikayla answered. "The girl Rebekah, Klaus, Kassandra and Elijah think are pretending to be their sister was there. She stopped him. She's a witch. And by the way they acted, I think she is really their sister. Freya saved me." Jackson nodded barely. "They took off before anything really happened."
Jackson sighed. "Thing is, we could have lost a lot more than just Jerrick today, but Aiden played it right. Kept them scattered instead of grouped. Smart move."
"Well, he learned from you," Mikayla told him.
"Did he?" Jackson asked. "It's not what I told him to do. My way would have all been a slaughter."
"Well, that was then," Mikayla told him. "We learn. We grow. We'll do better. We'll lose a few, but we'll hopefully save a lot more. You with me?"
Jackson stepped closer, smiling a small smile, nodding. "Always."
(Song:) 10,000 Emerald Pools - Borns
Jackson and Mikayla looked at each other for a moment, kissing passionately. Jackson took Mikayla in his arms, slowly spinning to lay her on the bed, continuing to kiss her. Mikayla rolled him onto the bed, straddling his lap, pulling her shirt over her head. Jackson sat up. Mikayla pulled his shirt over his head, letting it fall to the side. She roamed her hands over his bare chest, looking at him lovingly for a moment, kissing him. For a moment, they just looked at each other, smiling small smiles, kissing. Jackson rolled Mikayla onto the bed, holding her hand in his. Their hands intertwined.

Marcel's Loft
Auria was sitting on the couch, looking out of the wall of windows to overlook the river and the city.
Marcel walked in.
"What'd you do with Vincent?" Auria asked.
"Put him in Noah's loft until he wakes up," Marcel answered. "Once I've questioned him to my satisfaction, I'll hand him over to you so you can release him once again to the witches and get in their good favor."
Auria smiled a small smile, standing, walking closer. "I just want it to be over, Marcel. I can't keep living like this."
Marcel stepped closer. "I know. Auria, I'm sorry for telling you no earlier, when you first had the idea to make good with the witches. I was just worried that it wouldn't work."
"You're always worried," Auria told him. "And you're always overprotective. It can be annoying as hell, but it's just part of your charm."
"Like rebelliousness is part of yours," Marcel told her.
Auria smiled.
Auria and Marcel looked at each other for a long moment, kissing slowly, sweetly at first. Marcel placed his hands on her back to pull her closer. Auria wrapped her arms around his neck. They kissed with less hesitancy, building up passionately.

Abattoir Compound - Hope's Nursery
Klaus had just returned home, doting on Hope, who was awake in her crib in the nursery, but wasn't crying like she was before, smiling.
Hayley walked in, wearing her bathrobe, joining him. "It took me forever to get her quiet."
Hayley gestured for him to join her out in the hallway.
Klaus reluctantly left Hope to follow.
--
Hallway
Klaus and Hayley walked into the hallway to talk alone.
"You'll be pleased to know that Finn is no longer a problem, thanks to Auria," Klaus told her. Hayley looked at him in relief. "However, there are other dangers on the horizon. My father is on the loose. I need you to talk to Mikayla about using the pack to find him."
Hayley frowned. "No. They already lost one of their own today. A good man. I won't ask them to let another wolf die."
"Mikael is a threat to our child," Klaus told her in frustration.
"Mikael is a threat to you," Hayley told him. "The pack will protect Hope if he comes, but I'm not going to let you use Mikayla and her pack just to settle your old scores."
"Let me be as clear as possible," Klaus told her angrily. "Mikayla, her husband, their pack, their friends, are a necessary means to keeping our daughter safe. But, I am not running a charity hostel, here." Hayley glared at him. "If they are not fighting on my side, then they will not remain alive to fight at all."
Klaus went to storm off.
Hayley pushed Klaus back to stop him. "You do what you need to do to keep Hope safe. I'll do the same. But if you ever, ever use her to try to manipulate me or Mikayla again, it will be the last time that you see either of us."
Hayley angrily walked away, leaving a furious Klaus in her wake.

Noah's Loft - Guest Bedroom
Vincent was lying unconscious in one of the rooms.
Two vampires were guarding him.
Caitlin: (voice over) "So, I take it we got our man?"
Noah: (voice over) "Vincent Griffith is alive and free of Finn's influence."
--
Living Room
Noah and Caitlin had come to the apartment.
Caitlin took off her trench coat, revealing she was still in the fancy clothes.
Noah took off his own jacket. "Once we got what he knows, we'll hand him back to the witches."
"So, it all worked out," Caitlin told him. She sat on the couch. "And yet, I don't recall hearing, 'Nice job, Caitlin. Really appreciate the help'."
Noah smirked. "Yeah. You'll have to forgive Marcel and Auria's manners. They were a little tied up, trying to prevent the Mikaelsons from being... well, the Mikaelsons. Yes, nice job, Caitlin. Really appreciate the help."
Caitlin smiled. She took out the files from her jacket, showing Noah. "These are what we got from Josephine, and Ruben's right. It's all in here. Every horrible thing Eva Sinclair has ever done."
Noah took out a few beers, walking toward Caitlin. "Well, if you ask me, it's a good thing Rebekah took over her body. Anyone who does this kind of stuff to kids has it coming."
"Noah, it doesn't matter what she's done," Caitlin told him. "Rebekah still appropriated her body without her consent."
Noah sat beside her, handing her a beer. "I'm not going to argue with you, Caitlin. I'm just saying... maybe it's a public service. It's complicated."
Caitlin chuckled. "Yeah. Story of my life." Caitlin and Noah opened their beers, clinking their bottles, taking a drink. "Hmm. Noah..." Caitlin looked at Noah knowingly. "You, Marcel and Auria knew Josephine would like me."
Noah smiled. "Once upon a time, Josephine was rather rebellious. This is a trait you exhibit in spades. However, circumstances all but extinguished that quality in her, and had she known that you were coming, she never would have welcomed Marcel and Auria into her home." Caitlin looked impressed. "And she wouldn't have been swayed by your... what was it she called it?"
Caitlin smiled smugly, proud of herself, pleased. "Candor."
Noah chuckled in amusement. "Candor."
Caitlin looked at Noah for a long moment. "Is everything always ten steps ahead of the game with everybody but me?"
"Well, often victory is letting your opponent believe that they are winning... until they don't," Noah told her.
Caitlin smiled. "Okay. Just remember who sealed the deal."
"Credit where credit is due," Noah told her, holding his beer toward Caitlin. Caitlin clinked hers against it. They each took a drink. Noah remembered something. "Mm." He set down his beer, pulling out documents. "And I have a surprise for you."
"And what's that?" Caitlin asked.
Noah looked at Caitlin. "I need you to seriously consider what I'm about to ask you."
"Okay," Caitlin told him in confusion. "Ominous. Shoot."
"I know that you don't like being in Marcel's loft anymore because Finn and Mikael taking you from there repeatedly just in the last week," Noah told her. Caitlin looked away uncomfortably. "And Marcel, Auria and I want you to be somewhere safe. Somewhere where vampires aren't milling in and out of all day every day. Someplace that we can put in your name and keep it safe for you, allowing no vampires but the ones that you invite in inside."
Caitlin looked at him curiously, knowing where this was going. "Are you asking me to move in with you?"
Noah chuckled. "For your safety, yes."
Caitlin laughed. "Wow. Big relationship milestone." Noah tilted his head barely. Caitlin smiled. "I like the idea." Noah was surprised that she wasn't putting up a fight. "And if it gets me more time away from Marcel and more time to be with you, Noah... I'm all for it."
Noah smiled. "All right."
"All I have to do is sign?" Caitlin asked.
"Yep," Noah answered. "But we can do that in the morning."
Caitlin sighed in relief. "Oh, thank God. It's been a long day, and I'm so not in the mood to dive into legal documents."
(Song:) You Should Know Where I'm Coming From - Banks
Noah smiled.
Caitlin and Noah looked at each other for a moment.
Caitlin stood, facing him. "And I've been in this dress all day. You never told me if you liked me in it."
Noah smiled. "You're right. I didn't."
Caitlin reached toward the back of the dress. "I can't reach the zipper." She turned to Noah. "Help me out of it?"
Noah stood, walking closer slowly until he was standing right behind Caitlin, unzipping her dress. He took a moment to look at her, sliding the straps down, baring her shoulders, pulling her toward his chest to kiss her neck from behind. Caitlin closed her eyes in pleasure, sighing in content happiness, smiling a small smile. Noah continued to slide the dress down. Caitlin turned to face him. They looked at each other for a long moment, smiling. Caitlin let down her hair in waves. They kissed slowly and passionately.
Elijah: (voice over) "In every moment, a choice exists."
Noah and Caitlin kissed slowly, sweetly and passionately, building up in heat and hunger.
Elijah: (voice over) "We can cling to the past..."
--
Marcel's Loft - Marcel's Bedroom
Marcel backed away from Auria seductively toward the bed.
Auria stood in front of him, looking up at him, smiling a small smile, stepping out of her high heels. She kissed him slowly, sweetly and passionately as she used magic to undo the buttons of his shirt and unzip the back of her dress. Marcel slid the dress to the floor, leaving her in her undergarments. They continued to kiss passionately, lying on his bed.
Elijah: (voice over) "Or embrace the inevitability of change."
--
Abattoir Compound - Mikayla/Jackson's Room
Jackson and Mikayla were laying in their bed underneath their blankets, snuggled close, nearly sleeping.
Elijah: (voice over) "And allow a brighter future to unfold for us."
--
Abattoir Compound - Kassandra's Room
Kassandra was standing at a table, looking at a family tree for the Mikaelsons that Klaus seemed to have made. The names were in Runic, all for the siblings and their parents. Her gaze lingered on Freya's name.
Elijah: (voice over) "Such an uncertain future may cause for even more uncertain allies."
--
Lafayette Cemetery - Kol's Playhouse
Davina had fallen asleep on the couch of the playhouse. She woke barely, looking around at the candlelit room. She realized why she was alone, remembering the death of Kol, starting to cry.
Elijah: (voice over) "Either way, a new day is coming, whether we like it or not."
--
Elijah's Apartment
Elijah was alone in his apartment, sitting on his couch, having a drink. He seemed to have gained control over the visions that Lenore/Esther had plagued him with, though he was still having little difficulty, seeing flashes of Hayley turning into Nicola and kissing her or feeding on her, but he was able to stop the visions from going too dark, lingering on the kissing.
Elijah: (voice over) "The question is, will you control it, or will it control you?"
--
Bywater Tavern
Aiden and Klaus were sitting at the bar, drinking.
"You know, for centuries, werewolf Alphas have lived as kings of a frightened or cursed people, forced to change every month on the full moon," Klaus told him. "But now, your pack is cured. You can change at will." Aiden nodded in agreement. "You are at peace, and yet Jackson takes his leadership for granted. He doesn't see that we live in a new world, which is precisely why the wolves need a new leader. Someone chosen by the wolves to guide them into a new future. Someone like you. I can help you become the leader your pack deserves."
Aiden smiled sarcastically. "Yeah? And what's in it for you?"
"In return, I would only ask that you and your pack swear to protect my daughter," Klaus told him. "That is all I will ever ask of you, because that is all that matters to me." Aiden seemed impressed by this uncharacteristically selfless response, considering his words for a moment. "You can let me know when you're ready. But, do bear in mind that time is forever ticking forward. Which means that tomorrow." He tapped on the glass of Aiden's wristwatch. "Is already here."

Abattoir Compound - Rebekah's Room
Eva/Rebekah was sleeping in her bed. She suddenly woke with a gasp.
--
The French Quarter
Eva/Rebekah was walking through the streets alone. She saw a teenage couple in an alley, walking closer. She was holding herself differently. Her posture was hunched over as if she was in pain. She walked with her hands in her pockets. She looked at the teenage couple, speaking in a low, raspy voice unlike the one Rebekah normally used in Eva's body. "You kids should know better." The teenagers stopped making out to look at her, scared and guilty for being caught. "It's not safe to be out this late. You never know who you'll run into." The teens were both unnerved. The young boy stood in front of the girl protectively. "Ghosts, goblins... Eva Sinclair."
The couple realized who she was, immediately gasping in fear.
Eva/Rebekah pulled her hand out of her pocket, revealing that she was actually Eva herself, who had somehow regained control of her body while Rebekah had been sleeping. She had a knife in her hand, quickly using it to slit the throat of the young boy, killing him.
The young girl screamed in terror.
The young boy clutched his neck, gasping, falling to the ground, bleeding to death.
The girl ran toward him. "Sam! No!"
Eva held out her hand, casting a pain infliction spell to incapacitate the young girl long enough to grab her throat. "Don't be scared. I'm not gonna kill you." She held up her knife, putting the tip of the blade against the girl's forehead. "Not until I have taken every little bit of your power."
Eva started to carve a sacrificial magic sigil into the girl's forehead. She flashed back to carving the symbol into the foreheads of numerous children and teenagers. Once she was done carving the sigil into the girl's forehead, she gasping in pleasure as she felt the power of the young witch's magic being channeled into her.
